Hotel Flora

A delightful stay at this charming 'hidden' hotel in the most amazing location in Venice. We had a neat and attractive room, decorated in individual style with vintage furniture, terrazzo floors and lovely rugs. Well heated (in November) a smart little bathroom full of fluffy towels and robes and nice soaps. The courtyard garden is lovely, even in the winter and the breakfast room/lounge is comfortable and relaxed, with a quiet and genteel feel and some quiet jazz playing in the background (vinyl!) . A dresser filled with beautiful books on Venice provided some inspirational reading. Breakfast was delicous, simple, generous and beautifully served. The staff at this hotel provide an outstanding service. A perfect balance between attentive and relaxed. They were kindly, knowledgeable, efficient and very charming. Also I rather liked their uniform of a pale blue stripe shirt with a pale green apron with brown leather fastening which added to the feel of practical and relaxed. We asked for recommendations for local restaurants and these were spot on. You could not ask for a better location from which to explore the city. The hotel is completely tucked away in quiet tranquility down a tiny alley that has something of the Platform 9 and 3/4 about it. It felt almost magically perfect for us in every way. We look forward to a return visit.

This hotel is fabulous! I stayed with my parents for my 40th birthday and the service was exceptional. Some local flooding had disrupted our plans and the concierge could not have been more helpful in arranging last minute plans for our group. All of their restaurant recommendations were excellent also. Great team, beautiful hotel. I will definitely be back and recommending to anyone I know travelling to Venice.

A beautiful hidden wonder in the center of Venice. This is a first-rate, locally-owned hotel with lovely, comfortable rooms, a professional, friendly staff, and a wonderful private garden for late drinks or peaceful breakfasts. Stay here if your schedule allows for an elegant Venetian refuge.

This is a gorgeous family run hotel in a great central location near the designer shops and a short walk to St Mark’s square. The staff were so helpful and friendly: Marco and Nazani on the desk who helped with restaurant and water taxi bookings and Kelum the bartender who made the best cocktails. Nazani not only booked us our water taxi but also walked with us to the taxi. The courtyard is stunning. A perfect oasis for breakfasts and afternoon drinks. The decor is very tasteful and it all felt very cared for. We would love to stay here again.

This was our third visit in three years to Venice and Hotel Flora. The hotel is small with simple but excellent rooms. It serves a continental breakfast, after which you are free to explore the city. Hotel is exceptional in helping visitors.

Venice is overwhelming, too much to really comprehend, and the family run Hotel Flora makes it a warm and welcoming place to explore. A wonderful oasis in the chaos, the staff, service, amenities, breakfast and small bar perform without peer. This is how a hotel should be run!

We stayed 2 nights at the Art Hotel and it exceeded our expectations! Beautifully appointed room in the heart of Bologna, & so close to restaurants, cafes and city highlights! The staff are exceptional - very friendly, helpful, and they went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. Special thanks to the dining staff at breakfast - Bruna was fantastic ! - and breakfast was one of the best we'd experienced in Italy ! Thank you to all the staff for an amazing stay .

Love, love, love this hotel! We recently stayed here for the second time (since 12 years ago) because it was so memorable. I equate Hotel Flora to a beautiful jewelry box filled with treasures. The staff is friendly and professional-very accommodating. The rooms are unique and interesting. Breakfast and the bar menu are tasty and served in either the courtyard or dining area-you feel you’re somewhere special.
