Hotel Europäischer Hof Heidelberg

We had a terrific stay at Hotel Europaischer Hoff in Heidelberg and would recommend it highly to anyone. I was specifically interested in their history and was pleasantly surprised by how elegant the hotel was and how the large room met our needs as a family traveling together. The highlights of the hotel for our family was the extraordinarily friendly and accommodating team. It is clear that the culture the family owners have created is embodied by how the team members interact with their guests. The gym/spa was excellent and got plenty of use by our family. I loved having an aperitif while listening to the piano in the lobby bar. Finally, you could not ask for a better location to enjoy Old Town Heidelberg and all it has to offer.

I cannot praise the Hotel Europaischer Hof enough for their outstanding service and for making our stay so wonderful. It is centrally located and within walking distance to restaurants, shops and historical sites. We were greeted upon arrival by Caroline who personally took us up to our rooms. I've never experienced the level of care and attention that we had there anywhere else in the world! The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was purely magic. Our rooms were beautifully appointed and the common areas and restaurant, tastefully decorated for Christmas. Everything was spotless and we never waited for service. It felt as though we were the only guests in the hotel, even though we certainly were not. I can hardly wait to go back!

My family and I stayed at Hotel Europäischer Hof Heidelberg for 7 days over the Christmas holiday. Everything about our stay was exceptional. Sergei, at the reception desk, was amazing. After our intercontinental flight, he recognized our young child was hungry and tired. He invited us in for breakfast and then put us into a temporary room to shower and rest until our room was ready. In addition, he kindly upgraded us to a larger room with a built-in child’s cot for our week. Every encounter we had with the staff and owners was met with this kind of kindness, helpfulness, and professionalism – from the housekeeping staff, who took time away from their work to guide us around the hotel, to Dr. Caroline von Kretschmann, who accommodated our child’s request to dance with her on social media. ||The rooms we experienced were equally comfortable and meticulous in design and cleanliness . We loved the old-world charm of our temporary room but were equally impressed by the loveliness of our larger, more modern second room. Upon our arrival, there was a small Christmas tree and a tiered tray of holiday treats in our room. The bed was spacious and adjusted to the preferences of each sleeper. We wanted for nothing in our room. ||We opted to have breakfast in the hotel each morning, which included a large array of food and drink: eggs, vegetables, fruit, bread and baked goods, meats and cheeses, cereals, juices, mimosas, and coffee drinks. ||The hotel is both large and warm. As we were there over the holiday, it was decorated with Christmas trees and lights throughout all the common areas. We enjoyed the sitting room with the fireplace and the bar lounge area, where we enjoyed evening aperitivos with live piano music. We also ended many of our evenings relaxing in the spa and pool area. ||We loved our holiday in Heidelberg at Hotel Europäischer Hof Heidelberg and would return in a heartbeat!

This hotel is a very classy place to stay. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Decorated beautifully for the holidays.|The room was large, clean and well appointed. Large choice of breakfast dishes including freshly prepared. About 15 minute walk to Heidelberg attractions.

Heidelberg was a charming destination to experience Christmas markets and learn some local history and the Europaischer Hof hotel was an outstanding place to stay. The hotel is beautifully decorated for the holiday season with many lights, holiday trees and fresh flowers everywhere. The level of service we received in the hotel is perhaps the highest of any hotel we've stayed in for years. Everyone was friendly and professional, going out of their way to make sure our visit was outstanding. Our stay at the Europaischer Hof was the highlight of our trip through Switzerland, France and Germany.

It is a luxury, beautifully decorated hotel in a great location—only a couple of blocks from many restaurants and the shopping street. The room is large and very comfortable! There is always drinking water in the living room every day. Friendly staff and outstanding service—attention to detail! We surely recommend it!

The Hotel Europaischer Hof in Heidelberg is an elegant and beautifully managed hotel in Heidelberg. It has been run by a family for many years, and you can tell they work hard to maintain high standards. The staff are very professional, warm and knowledgeable. The location is perfect, right at one end of the main pedestrian street; parking is convenient right next door; and the entrance is in a beautiful courtyard to come "home" to after strolling the many shops and restaurants nearby. Everything is pristine clean and of tres chic design! We had a great time and hated to leave! We would not stay anywhere else in Heidelberg.

Lovely staycation hotel. Nice pool with jacuzzi and sauna. It’s family owned and the family spirit shows at this hotel. What I liked the most was the lovely room and the touch of rubber duck. Breakfast is lovely, too. Much better than expected.
