"The first thing you'll notice when you walk into this sauna studio is how spotless it is. Impeccable, in fact. That can be said of the décor, as well: A streamlined, all-white aesthetic reigns—up until you enter one of the sauna suites. Here, you can choose to cast a colored light based on your mood (we chose orange for its mood-elevating, stimulating, feel-good effect) during your sweat. Then you sit back and do just that—sweat—for forty-five minutes. Each suite comes with an iPod and a vitamin C–infused rain shower. Given the potential benefits of using an infrared sauna, there are plenty of reasons to come here. But what keeps us hooked is simple: We always leave feeling calmer, clearer, and just all-around better. (An added perk: HotBox just started carrying goopglow.)"

This is a colorful gem in downtown LA! The staff is friendly, and the place is clean and inviting. The saunas themselves are both high tech and relaxing. My favorite part is the cold towel soaked in Vitamin C water - refreshing after 45 minutes of sweating!

I go to HotBox regularly and absolutely LOVE the sauna suites. They are clean and good size for two people. The actual sauna technology is excellent, I trust the manufacturer and I have experienced the benefits of regular sweating. Deliberate sweating has improved my tone and firmness in skin, less inflammation skin & body, less water retention & bloat, better sleep...I feel how incredible the sauna is when I am not sweating regularly and I notice myself craving it!

Great for a quick refresh during the day! HotBox had a lot of small touches that made the experience extra wonderful, the vitamin C left our skin feeling super soft and smooth. Validated parking was free and easy.

Infrared Saunas are all different, even when they look the same. How hot the rooms get, how clean, the types of people the visit, the amenities and showers, the WiFi, available water, towels, etc all are pieces to consider. HotBox in DTLA continues to check every box including superb customer service. Like any place, there have been one-offs but they’ve always been corrected if not by the employees then the owner Jessica herself.

Los Angeles needed an infrared sauna like this! I can't believe I hadn't gone before, this place is amazing! It is so well designed, smells great, has wonderful staff and the sauna itself felt amazing! You can also watch/listen to Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, etc. as you're relaxing. I think everyone should take some time for themselves and do this. I slept so great after my first "sweat" - and my skin looked awesome the next morning! I'll be back :)

This place is a gem! It's wonderful to be able to come in, tune out the rest of the world and have your own personal little sauna. The rooms are clean and well-designed, and I love how my skin feels after a session.

I’ve been to each of the infrared studios in LA. Sweat Theory off Cahuenga, Floating in BH, ShapeHouse near Larchmont, and HotBox in downtown is by far the best. The rooms are always warmed up and very clean. Best amenities, best customer service, and Jessica always responds to any requests and ensures her customers are happy. Definitely recommend your next sweat here.

BEWARE OF CANCELLATION POLICY! Let me start by saying that the overall concept is great, but that's no excuse for poor service. If you are signing up for the one month remember to cancel immediately if you are moving from the area or are just generally not sure if its something you want to commit to in the. The price up until today for one session being 45 dollars plus some was ok on occasion, but I would have been more inclined to do monthly or buy a package which I veered from because they didn't even give a discount on buying in multiples. It's obvious that their previously overpriced packages didn't work and now they have moved from charging over 300 a month to just 99 for unlimited. Great. I received an email yesterday with the promotion, (16th Nov) so for 99 dollars I signed up. I am moving to San Fransisco on the 19th of next month (December) so I knew I needed to cancel. So I went in today the 17th of November and asked to cancel, to which the women told me "I needed to cancel 30 days in advance", so I let her know I couldn't cancel online and that is why I was doing it 29 days in advance by default. So she told me "I am going to have to pay for an extra month", even though I'm moving. Look I understand why they are doing the promotion because they have found a way to make people have to pay for two months over the holiday period which as a DTLA business owner I know residents just leave town in December so I'm sure its slow for them too. It's not about the money, it's about having good business ethics and listening to your customers. And although I'm leaving town I have many friends and customers in the area who I will now not be recommending. It really is not difficult to make the right decision and sometimes as a business you just have to own up to some of your procedures not making sense for everyone. As a business owner, when a customer is unable to cancel online from the time she bought and tries to cancel within a hair of the deadline it really is a matter of good business practice to make allowances. I'm moving cities, I couldn't cancel with 30 days so I canceled on the 29th day. You are not only upsetting me as a customer but had your manager just made things easy you would have gotten 5 stars, and I would have recommended all my friend.
