Honest Chocolate Cafe - Cape Town City Centre

Honest Chocolate Café is hands down my favorite spot! The atmosphere is so calm and inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind. The staff are always friendly and attentive, adding to the warm experience. Their dark chocolate cake is an absolute treat—rich, decadent, and just the serotonin boost I need every time!

Wow what a fantastic gem and a surprise as this was not on our itinerary for the day. The staff were super friendly and helpful and offered some great suggestions. Be warned this is focused around dark chocolate but it is a journey of amazing flavours. Be bold and try some of the different types and you will find some surprises. The teas and coffees are delicious and with the effort. If you have time step through the store to the mini courtyard area where you can also stop and enjoy the truffles with a special someone or a friend. The breeze there was so relaxing and the fountain just made it like an oasis in the middle of Cape Town. Parking on the street is a bit if a challenge except on a Sunday. This is really special hidden gem.

Wonderful coffee, good cake and good service. We really enjoyed the Curtado. One of the best in town. The dark chocolate cake was really nice, could have been a bit more generous with the coating, as it got a bit dry/blend in the middle. Service was good, although one would assume they take one’s order, instead they opted for a self serve offering. Would be nice if the waiters came to take orders like in other Cafés.

Warm service Honest café uses a delicious type of chocolate in its products, with a perfectly balanced level of sweetness. They also serve great coffee that complements the chocolate tasting experience ❤️

Nice chocolate store. Unique in cape town. I hope i can own one in my country as well one day... really need such a passion to run this business so well

A great spot for a coffee and treat. Honest Chocolate Café has a nice selection of chocolate cakes, cookies, and truffles. We tried the coffee and the double dark chocolate cake, and both were really good. The place has a cozy vibe and is worth a stop if you’re in the area and want something sweet.
