"Homeslice has everything that makes pizza a great choice for groups: it’s inexpensive and satisfying, and it easily feeds a variety of people with minimal argument over what to get. This place isn’t reinventing the wheel, either - the pies (which have a hand-tossed crust, like a way better version of Papa John’s) aren’t Chicago’s best, but they’re perfectly good. Come here with friends to enjoy the excellent patio, which is full of funky lights and large tables. "Dining at Homeslice is like stepping into a slice of the Pacific Northwest, quite literally. Their rustic style log cabin interior was built from logs hauled from Oregon, giving this not-so-Chicago-style pizza joint a very homey and original feel. Their thin crust pizzas are anything but conventional, and with their extensive list of meat-free pizzas, there's guaranteed to be something for everyone. "Remember in college when you’d have 20 people come out for your 19th birthday, and you didn’t even know who most of them were? Being at Homeslice will remind you of that time. The pizza here is the best version of the kind you ate in your dorm room (like Domino’s, but really good), and there are enough varieties to please a crowd, even though it doesn’t really matter what anyone else thinks because this celebration is all about you. "This pizza place in Lincoln Park has also spent a lot of time curating its atmosphere, but in this case the atmosphere is more like “college apartment on a CW show.” There are big, comfortable couches with lots of space for groups, and light-up signs that remind you to “be awesome.” Homeslice also has a fantastic outdoor patio, and during the winter goes to extreme lengths to make sure that patio is still usable and comfortable (it’s covered in plastic and temperature controlled). So it feels a little bit like eating in a tent from Outbreak, but with pizza and adult-size swing sets." - adrian kane

And like that friend from college who had the apartment everyone would crash at, Homeslice is here for you. The space is complete with big couches, swing sets that can fit more adults than seems possible, and another patio that has about a million tables.
