"Each time we visit the Hollywood Farmers Market, we’re struck by its sheer scope. With more than 100 farmers and vendors, it’s one of the largest markets in LA, with rows and rows to explore. Some of our favorite vendors include Dave’s Gourmet Korean for fresh coconut milk and high-end restaurants like Gwen, which sells its excellent cured meats and patés. Check its Instagram for info on upcoming events because famous food types love doing activations here. Open Sunday, 8am-1pm. " - sylvio martins, garrett snyder

Google
Amazing market, super large with a wide selection of vegetables and fruit, some ready to eat food, baked goods and so on. The prices are fairly high but the selection and quality is good

Google
Fantastic farmers market! The food was amazing. We had oysters, yaki onigiri, juices and cookies. Each was really great and all the people were super friendly! And there is music on every street!

Wow, what an incredible experience at the Hollywood Farmers' Market! I was blown away by the vibrant sights, mouth-watering food, and stunning fresh produce - especially the fruits! The market was bustling with energy, and the variety of vendors offered something for every taste and craving. From juicy, ripe fruits to artisanal cheeses and baked goods, every bite was a delight. The produce was exceptionally fresh, and the farmers' passion for their work was evident in every carefully curated display. I left with bags full of goodies and a huge smile on my face.

We came across the Hollywood Farmers Market since we were early for our show at the Pantages. And, I’m so glad we did. I absolutely love it!! It’s a great place to grab a bite, coffee or drinks before a show. It’s across from the Pantages Theater, located on Ivar & Selma, south of Hollywood Blvd. This extensive open market has all sorts of local produce, vendors, flowers, bread, live music and food booths! They have a diverse array of vendors. There was a lot of fresh fruit and veggies, with samples. There were things I hadn't seen before at a farmers market, like fresh oysters being shucked. They have several seating areas but they do tend to fill up! Parking can be a bit of a challenge. With so many culinary delights, it’s well worth a visit.

Google
It’s a big farmer’s market with a lot of different varieties of things. Very packed and chaotic though, just like the city itself. We tried the oysters from an oyster stand, they were $3 each, we loved them!

Google
I LOVE this farmers market. I go every sunday and there is wonderful food, drinks, flowers, pastas, breads, whatever your heart desires! I typically go shopping and than make my way to the food section and enjoy lunch. The flowers I purchase usually last at least two weeks and the vendors are truly amazing humans. I highly recommend and think it is one of the best markets. It is open from about 8am - 1pm.

Google
I was in town on a Sunday and in the mood for a farmer’s market. The great reviews were right about it. It’s extensive from fresh product to plants, baked goods, delicacies, body products and more. I could have spent hours there. I’ll definitely return.

Google
Wow - the plentiful supply of fresh fruits and vegetables and gorgeous flowers. We were hoping for some food trucks, maybe even gluten free bakery. Very helpful farmers!

Yelp
This place is awesome. One of the best farmer's markets I've been to. Used to come here to buy produce when possible, and it was always great. Remember to bring your own cash! Some vendors do accept card/Zelle/etc. but there can be a markup.

Yelp
"Everybody comes to Hollywood... They wanna make it in the neighborhood... They like the smell of it in Hollywood... How could it hurt you when it looks so good? Shine your light now! This time it's got to be good.. You get it right now, yeah 'Cause you're in Hollywood" This Sunday Funday Fresh Farmers' Market is stacked! One of the biggest and coolest in the city of greater Los Angeles. Located at the central focal point of 1600 Ivar Avenue, the Hollywood Farmers' Market, a.k.a. HFM, encompasses a solid stretch of this street (two blocks worth), but also some of Selma Avenue from 8am to 1pm each week. The vendor list is stacked with fresh produce of all sorts from berries to squash to oranges, apples, artichokes, cabbage, legumes, nuts, pressed juice, plants, olive oil and even some wine in the mix... Sip sip! And don't even get me started on those samples galore #BreakfastOnTheGo HFM supports vendors of all kinds and is currently spotlighting queer owned business for pride season. They have ready to enjoy food vendors (all on Selma) in the mix including hot treats, coffee, nom noms and some fun miscellaneous ones on the outskirts including cool cd, book and collectible guy just before Sunset Blvd (which are more on the unofficial official side for this trendy long-standing farmers' market). I haven't been here much and definitely don't plan as well as the super locals when I catch the train over from the LA Valley/SFV side, but always enjoy my time here and the kindness. Food Access LA who plans and runs this amazing market also does the Echo Park, Atwater Village, Crenshaw, Compton College, Central LA, LA River, and Watts Willowbrook FMs to name most. A lot of frequenters (not all) can be in a bit of a bubble when walking about (does nobody say excuse me, pardon, sorry or thank you anymore... maybe I'm just extra polite) so I'd definitely say to be mindful of all the foot traffic flow as it picks up more around 10am (by the midpoint). There is parking in the area at a few lots as well as metered street parking - almost 2 hrs in all directions. There's a pretty good sized public parking garage at the corner Southeast of Sunset Blvd & Ivar Avenue. You can get parking for $7 with validation when you visit the Food Access LA booth. Additional parking at the old Arclight/Cinerama (also validate - it's less, but a little bit further). It's of course a wagon, cart and stroller friendly space, being an open air as well as outdoor. Service animals are allowed, but no pets otherwise (for obvious health and safety reasons). Some of the pricing is on the higher side for some vendors #2025Living - but you're supporting local and small businesses, which make our neighborhoods and city thrive. It's cool. It's community. It's Hollywood.

Yelp
11/10/24 It has been YEARS since I visited this farmers market (HOLLYWOOD), Hubby suggested it & I happily obliged. When we lived in Hollywood more than 20 yrs ago, every Sunday, we visited this market regularly. It is a bustling place. Many of the vendors that sell at Torrance & other farmers markets are also featured here. Fresh produce including fruits, vegetables, dairy, eggs, meats, seafood, live plants, cooked foods of many ethnic backgrounds also provide a multitude of offerings. In a few corners, there are chairs & tables for patrons to sit & dine. Prices are medium to high range (in comparison to supermarkets & other farmers markets, this IS Hollywood after all). There are MANY Vegan options. Parking is available on metered spots or (if you could find one) or a parking garage on the northeast corner of Sunset & Ivar. Just bought fresh peanuts & cold pressed almond milk- delicious!

Yelp
Best farmer's market in LA. It's huge with so much produce, prepared food and drinks, and everything in-between. DON'T GO TO THE JUICE GUY in the prepared food area. He is so RUDE and the juice combos are mid. We were waiting for our juice so naturally, you talk while you wait. He literally slammed the juice cup and told us to "STOP CHATTING". He is the worst

Jamielyn L.

Yelp
Been coming here for almost 30 years. There's honestly no better market. So much beautiful organic produce.

Claudia A.

Yelp
I think this is the best Farmer's Market in LA as far as selection, quality and size. It's nice because you can basically find anything you need for what you want to cook. Whereas, for some Farmer's Markets, theres a lack of diversity in the type of produce and ingredients offered. The farmers are all really nice and if you don't know how to pick something, they will teach you how. Even if you aren't looking to cook and just want to browse around, everything is so vibrant. From the produce to the flowers to the spices. You can catch many chefs from local restaurants here in the mornings stocking up on fresh ingredients. Its just a beautiful place to walk around while sipping coffee. You can easily get 1 mile of steps in while walking the whole market. Its a nice way to start the morning and weekend. I do recommend going early to get the best pick of produce and also to guarantee parking. There is limited street parking. There is a parking garage nearby but it's gone up 3x in the last year. So I found its best to just go early.

Yelp
I knew about Hollywood's Farmer's Market for years just by driving by. Unfortunately, you can't just park the car and pop in! Doesn't work like it in Hollywood, parking is the only down side of this nice market. It lasts from 8am-1pm every Sunday. Since I was in the area on foot (via subway), I took advantage to stop by! Blocks of nice vendors with loads of fresh fruit, veggies and flowers. Always enticing, great smells around, so I grabbed some fresh strawberries, lettuce and avocados. Couldn't resist some pastries. Great food selection from trucks around, lots of ethnic choices, so you won't leave hungry. I forgot to take photos, but next time! Great, big market, nice selection of everything!

James G.

Yelp
I have been going to the Hollywood Farmer's Market for decades and I love it. Besides a good selection of local fruit and vegetables, there are several places to buy freshly baked bread and a decent amount of food stands that offer really good food. I always enjoy going. The downside of the market is that parking in that area is difficult. If you go early, you might be able to find street parking within a few blocks but if you go after 9:00 AM, good luck. My other complaint is that although there are signs that say "No Dogs", a lot of people bring their dogs and typically, the market is very busy.

Yelp
Rain or shine great Sunday morning market. *Street parking or you can pay for the building parking. I have been here probably 15-20 times. So many vendors to guy your flowers, bread, butter, pies, honey, nuts, eggs, fish, juices, chocolate veggies and fruits from. They even have live music as you walk around, a balloon man and an interactive musician that brings instruments for children to play with. The also have a few booths that have clothes and bags plus around 10 food trucks you can order from and eat there. Chicken man, Bao truck, Thai food, breakfast burritos. Fun experience. Good for kids, on a date, with friends or solo. Bring a reusable bag if you can and of course cash is preferred. 10/10 Happy Sunday Shopping!

Yelp
This is quite an interesting farmers' market (established in 1991) as you can find a little bit of everything here. [Hours]: Every Sundays from 8 AM to 1 PM. [Parking]: I got really lucky and found a metered parking just a block away (across from Trader Joe's); however, I called later and was informed that Hollywood Farmers' Market offers parking validation ($3 for 2 hours) at the following three lots: the ArcLight Cinemas parking garage (Sunset/Ivar), the Bed Bath & Beyond parking garage (Sunset/Vine), and the Los Angeles Film School parking garage. You will need to visit the information booth at the farmer's market and they will give you a validation pass you use to pay before exiting the garage(s). [Amenities & vendors]: There are tons of producers, food vendors, and artisan vendors including a CBD booth, plants & flowers, and a raw oyster booth (they will even shack & you can immediately eat raw oysters on the spot). This is probably one of very few markets (if not the only market in SoCal) with TWO music bands. In addition, most of produce vendors were pretty generous (if not the most generous out of all farmers' markets in SoCal) with free samples. It is also probably the only farmers' market in SoCal where you can also see homeless tents on sidewalks & shows a stark contrast of the haves and have-nots . This is definitely one of the better farmers' markets in Los Angeles County & Orange County with over 75+ vendors. Parking is a bit of hassle, but once you know about the trick on two-hour parking validation then you can also maximize your two hours by visiting other local brick and mortar shops like Philz Coffee, Groundwork Coffee Co., and Trader Joe's just a block or two away from the market.

Yelp
The Hollywood farmers market has been a hub of delicacies both prepared foods and the fresh fruits and vegetables are always on point! Along with absolutely great people watching. They also offer an EBT double your bucks program where they give you double your "bucks" for fruits and veggies only fantastic food for everyone

Yelp
I don't get it. Says no dogs allowed, but yet people bring their dogs, from yorkies to pit bulls to German Shepards. I've seen them all. I know they are not all service dogs. I bring my dog everywhere, but don't want to chance it because I live too far away. I get why there are not supposed to be animals, but why isn't anybody enforcing it? That's my rant on that. Oh and good luck finding street parking. Per other helpers, you can park at other parking lots. As for the market itself, it is vast! I've never seen so many vendors! Mostly produce and flowers. Which are beautiful!!! Each individual vendors get 5 stars! But I'm there for the hot foods! The food stalls gets 5 stars too! I got the pupusas. 3/$10 and the Thai food, $8 for pad Thai, $8 for pad see ew, $3 chicken satay, $4 pork, $4 coconut dessert thing. I bought a few heirloom tomatoes to try!

Sara R.

Yelp
I go to a lot of farmers markets and live to see the uniqueness of all of them. This one is just like that. Friendly neighborhood vibe and clearly it is supported by the locals. Local vendors offer unique hip items like pickled items and gluten free breads. Great place to get flowers as well. I wish the space was a little bigger and I am sure they could even get a lot more vendors because it sometimes get really crowded and parking, to me, is always difficult. That being said, this farmers market is worth a stroll through. You can get some good kimchi!

Yelp
My go-to farmers market in Los Angeles! While the market is open every Sunday, rain or shine, I don't think I've gone while it's raining. Farmers markets are all about selection and what is available. So, here we go! Fresh oysters? Yes. Farm fresh eggs? Yes. Organic vegetables? Yes. Microgreens? OMG, yes! Mushrooms? Yes, with a very large selection. Meat and poultry? Yes. Once you have bacon from this farmers' market, it is difficult to switch back to store bought bacon. Fish and seafood? Yes. The best salmon I've had in my whole life came from this market. Fruits? Yes and thank goodness for the best Hachiya selection when in season. Goat cheese, olive oils, bread, pastries, preserves, fresh flowers and prepared food? Yes. Yes. And Yes. I think they even have a wine vendor. My staples from the market are pita bread, feta cheese with jalapeño, tzatziki, tabouleh, pâté, cured meat, eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, microgreens and raw milk. Ingredients do matter, and you will taste the difference in their lamb chops and racks, lettuce and carrots. You will also find ingredients that you won't typically find at grocery stores such as garlic and squash flowers. I've cooked with both and yum! The market is one of my favorite Sunday morning things to do in Los Angeles. The farmers/vendors are mostly friendly and informed. I learned how to shuck oysters and pick good garlic bulbs from the market. Nearest Metro Station: Red Line at Hollywood/Vine Station While at the market: On my last visit (02.26.2023), I stopped by the Little Greek Coffee House, a small mobile cart, for their lightly sweetened Latte A La Greek. The first sip was a bit strong, but it was all delight afterwards. Not sure if it is there every Sunday, but I found this mobile cart cafe on Vine and Selma, just right outside of Trader Joe's, on my way to the market.

Yelp
Always a great bet, fresh produce and some tasty pastry, and of course helping local businesses. Plus it's also close to local record stores. It's easy to get here and well I don't ever worry about parking because I take the metro train and it's a short walk and bam it's there. Great vibe, cool people , give it a go if you haven't already

Susannah B.

Yelp
Too many dogs that are clearly not service dogs. No pets signs ignored. Policy not enforced.

Don O.

Yelp
This is one of the great farmers' markets. Fruits and vegetables. Food truck foods. Fresh baked goods. Lots of happy people. We got breakfast of bread, fromage blanc, and raspberry tart along with lots to take home. Note, this is not a place for bargains.

Simon B.

Yelp
Love this farmers market. Amazing selection of produce meats wine etc. awesome hot food section as well generally great vibes

Kaye Y.

Yelp
Great farmer's market..so much variety. Everything from fresh seafood, variety of meats, produce, breads, plants, mushroom products, plenty of food/drinks. Prices were very reasonable and the vendors were very friendly. It was not overly crowded were you would step on folks. Plenty of dogs and folks with all kinds of wagons for shopping and hauling kiddos. Most vendors were accepting card/NFC forms of payments. Definitely a market you have to visit at least once. I plan on returning in the near future, there is parking in the structure for a fee or free street parking.

Ruksana H.

Yelp
For a quick bite and a variety of food, the farmers market is great. Also some fun stores for sweet treats and other seasonal goodies! They have outdoor music in the summer but also a bunch of other events and such thru the year.

Yonnie C.

Yelp
Came here yesterday Sunday AM to attend a book signing with the NOMA restaurant chefs! They were in town all the way from Denmark so definitely wanted to come by to get my book signed and meet the renowned chefs who consistently have their restaurant ranked as number 1 in the world. Can't wait to cook their recipes. Found free parking along Vine, as long as it's before 11am., at the meters.

April C.

Yelp
I found street parking to be quite easy! I would arrive before 11am because where I parked on Sunset, the 15 minute meters kicked in at 11am. If you're looking for vendors who sell baked goods, I'd definitely arrive early. I got there at 10:45am and most places were already sold out. For the produce vendors - you have a lot of options! I would say prices here were about $1-2 dollars more expensive than Silverlake/Echo Park farmers market. But again, there is much more variety here. I probably won't venture out here again unless I were specifically interested in a restaurant/baked good/coffee vendor or were just strolling around to try new produce!

Micky K.

Yelp
One of my favorite farmers markets in LA. There are so many vendors to shop from. I usually buy some freshly baked pastries and browse through the market while enjoying a delicious snack. The produce is locally grown and organic and I love picking up fresh goods. Shopping is great while parking on the other hand is a nightmare.

Nikolay M.

Yelp
The guys that shuck and sell oysters, when you order a dozen to-go, they put 11, hoping you won't count.

Brianna R.

Yelp
Love this market! I've been to the silver lake, larchmont, and west Chester markets, too -- this one is the biggest with the widest variety. Because it's so big you do have to do a bit of walking to find the best prices. For example, strawberries right now are 3 baskets for $10 all the way up to 3 backers for $16 -- just depends on the farmer you get them from. Most farmers take cards, with a few taking Venmo as well. It's probably safe to just bring some cash (which I never do, but they do have atms available if you don't mind those fees). This market is laid out in a t-shape. Most produce is along one path and then the crossing path has more prepared items and non-produce things (like honey, meat, bread, etc). Would be 5 stars if the parking situation wasn't so difficult. Last weekend I came about 10 minutes before 8am and found street parking. This week I arrived at 8am and end up pulling into the lot on Ivar @ Sunset since I didn't want to park too far away. $11 for about 40 minutes of parking. Ugh. So, walk if you're walking distance and come earlier to find street parking if you don't want to pay a premium for parking.

Joey G.

Yelp
Biggest Farmer's market in the area! Parking can be tricky but they validate parking at the information desk if you park in one of the local garages. Just make sure to tell any of the parking attendants that your ticket was validated otherwise they'll charge you full price like they did to me ($16.50). You can try for metered parking but you'll have to come very early or get very lucky. There's lots of great local street food. Some excellent small bakeries show up. Roan Mills shows up and they have some well baked bread loaves for sale. It's rare that a farmer's market has good meat choices but this is one of them. I loved the pluot stand! The produce available was excellent. They had some of the best strawberries I have ever tasted. I got some super tasty figs here too. Lots of vendors are giving out free samples. I got to try white raspberries for the first time and it was exquisite. I also got to try guava strawberries, they were a little tart for me but I'm glad I had the opportunity to try them. Prices can be a little high but I would say it's worth it. The vendors are friendly and they have tons of variety. It does get crowded so that can be a bit annoying but if you can get past a few shortcomings then this is among the best in terms of farmer's markets.

Naeseo K.

Yelp
I don't 5 stars usually. This one and Santa Monica(Wed) are my favs. This one has more food venders and some tables to sit down and eat. That's why it scores higher than Santa Monica. Many venders, veggies, flowers, plants, pies, bread, Oysters (they'll shack, eat there!), meat, fish, honeys, fresh juice, tamales, roasted chicken, etc.. It's fun just to look around as well as your weekly shopping along w snacking! Parking: street w meter (so ez to find, you still gotta pay but cheap. I usually park on Sunset) Would I come back?: I'm a regular there!

Liana M.

Yelp
The Hollywood Farmers' Market is probably my favorite farmers market in LA. It's really big! It goes down Ivar from Hollywood to Sunset and also across Selma. There's so much yummy fresh produce here. You can pick up everything from oranges and peaches to artichokes and mushrooms. The mushroom guy also sells mushroom powder which you can add to coffee and other drinks to make a brain-boosting elixir. There are sprout vendors and berry vendors. And one of my favorites, the bread guy at Roan Mills. The olive focaccia is out of this world. There used to be a girl that sold fermented cashew cheese that was incredible but I don't think she's there anymore. There might be someone new selling vegan cheeses though. You can also get fresh flowers, plants, and even vegetable starts to plant your own food. And if you have SNAP, you can participate in the Doubleup Bucks program to make your benefits go even further at the market. Also shout out to all the artisans and prepared food vendors. Tamales Treats has really good tamales and Mom's Speciality Foods has delicious Middle Eastern style dips and pita chips. There are vendors selling wine, olive oil, honey, cheese, pasta sauce, vegan chocolate, pies, etc. So much good stuff. Bring cash and a bag to carry your finds. I also love that this market has live music, including a guy who plays children's music and has a bunch of kiddie sized musical instruments so the little ones can join in. So fun! Definitely get there early to avoid the crowds and get first dibs! Some vendors sell out of popular seasonal items.

Russ K.

Yelp
We had no idea what to expect, and had our minds blown by the size of this market and the number of super high quality vendors. Love the music, too. Friendly atmosphere, and a great location.

Marlene V.

Yelp
Stopped by this weekend and enjoyed every minute. Since the start of COVID I have been skeptical about going to the farmers market. Also, I wasn't sure if they were open or if the lines would be too long. However, I stopped by on Sunday afternoon and was able to get a good parking space and the line moves very quickly! You do have to pay for parking however, you may get lucky finding a spot considering things are still relatively empty. As for the vendors, they were all very kind. I enjoyed getting some delicious sweet strawberries. The best bread was Roan Mills, you have to try the sprouted nuts, the heriloom tomatoes, and take advantage of the figs while summer is still here! Happens once a week every Sunday, feels great to get out and enjoy the simple things.

Yelp
SUNDAYS: 8am - 1pm. I can't believe it took me so long to venture over here! This market is AMAZING! PARKING: Not so easy in this area. There is street parking but good luck with that. However, there are reasonably priced garage options. We parked in a large garage at 1627 Vine (Modern Parking) which is $2 for an hour or something like that. I'm pleased with that price. The garage is a bit janky as the elevator shut its doors but didn't move... so we took the urine-soaked stairs. MARKET: This market is about three long blocks, extending in different directions. It's one of the biggest markets I've seen in LA. Lots of different vendors. Plenty of produce stands to shop around with ample unique offerings. The people vary, naturally, but the majority of my interactions were very positive. FAVORITES: -SZ Ranch: Excellent organic eggs. -Logan's Garden: Awesome garden shop with edible plants and amazing service (thanks Logan and Jimmy). We bought a nasturtium plant! A delicious and peppery addition to my occasional cooking. -West Coast Seafood: I've purchased from this vendor before and they don't disappoint. Bought some red snapper and it was excellent. I love that they offer reasonably priced options for people who can't afford to spend crazy amounts on fish. The red snapper was $7/lb. Nice people too. -I don't recall the exact vendor but we bought some incredible yellow tomatoes. We ate two giant tomatoes in one night. Priced a little high but worth it. -The Arepa Stand: Tasty arepas. The Westsider was really good. -Bao Bao House: Delicious dumplings and steamed buns! PRICES: A bit high but it's Hollywood. Also, the great variety of vendors gives you the ability to compare prices, maybe even haggle a bit. We chose to forego an expensive seafood vendor and then saw West Coast who had inexpensive options! I saw so many other interesting vendors that I didn't get a chance to interact with or sample. Some businesses only have one employee so if there are people waiting... you know how it goes. I can't wait to come back though! Tea guy and apple guy, I'm coming for you!

Yelp
I just moved back in Hollywood and went to Hollywood Farmers' Market today. 12 minutes by foot from my place, and I'm super happy!! I usually shop at Gelson's and Whole Foods Market for good quality fresh produce, but I'm glad that I went there today. Only I purchased persimmons (from Dr. Jay) and kale (from Kevin), but Dr. Jay gave me one plum, she made my day! I always select people first when I shop (because, when I see their faces I can tell about their business' quality). Anyway, I will shop more stuff next time.

Magda N.

Yelp
Great farmers market. Lots of vendor and is bigger than others. Lots of option to buy fresh produce, fresh bread, fresh juice, and even ready to eat food for breakfast or lunch. Love the crepes place. Its our favorite. They are so good. Try with the red sauce for some spicy kick. The bread booth at the end of the market has such long line but not sure what's the hype. One of these days, we'll have to finally give it a try.

Jesika H.

Yelp
I'm sorry but I do NOT come for the hot food vendors. Matter fact, I didn't buy hot food at all because the real highlight of this market is everything else. They have the most meat/seafood vendors in all the 8 farmers markets I've been to just this past week. A GREAT selection of literally everything you can think of including BREAD. That's usually my highlight and they had at least 4 different bread vendors. My favorite of course is Lox bagels and the one with the really long line. Can't think of the name. Fruits and veggies galore, flowers, baked goods, eggs, jams and even homemade lip balm. Oh, I also loved the cheese vendor. This just has everything you need in one setting. Go at about 7:45 and be gone by 8 30 and you'll be good on parking and first dibbs on everything. Somethings are sold out by 8 30 am so the earlier the better. I was there around 7 15 this morning. Left around 8 45-9 am and it was getting packed and not easily walk-able with all the people, strollers and kids. Ughh. Kids. Lol but this is definantely my go to market now. All the 8 markets I've been to this week, each one had one good vendor I liked and of course most of them were present at this FM so this is a winner for me. Remember, the name of the game is GET HERE EARLY. If you dont, get ready to feel like your in New York during the ball drop on new years eve.

Yelp
Wow Really great! The selection of veggies and goods are great! Fresh fish and ready made foods to made to order food! Worth the effort to find parking! Wish they had more flowers to choose from but what they had was good enough. The fresh roasted chicken and potatoes! Yum

Yelp
My friend and I stopped over here on our way to hike at Runyon Canyon. Parking: I always get anxiety when trying to park in this area but surprisingly, we found street parking pretty close to the market. This Sunday Farmer's market is one of the best one's in L.A. Well, I've only been to the Playa vista, Larchmont, and Culver City FMs so those are the ones I'm comparing it to! This market is massive yet cozy. The vendors are friendly and I think everything is reasonably priced. I have never seen so many varied and unique foods! I discovered NYA tea and this Central American food stall and ate a real live cherimoya! I also got a chicken tamale that, per usual, I attacked like a savage before we hit the canyon!

Yelp
We were overwhelmed with so much wonderfulness in Hollywood Farmers' Market. The number of vegan booths was exciting as well as the varieties of organic fruits and vegetables. The food choices are abundant, including vegan coissant. Sometimes prices can be a bit high. But you know the food is fresh and you are supporting small growers. Not only do you find fruits and veggies, but nuts, baked goods, prepared foods, raw seafoods, and flowers. I highly recommend this market to all.

Yelp
I wouldn't say this is the best farmer's market I've ever been to as many other reviewers have said (have you never been to San Diego or Southern Oregon? You'd be blown away by these farmer's markets) but I will say that it was really nice. I like that it's smaller but had vendors of every type. There was a very big selection and all the fruit in season made me super happy. Sometimes I notice that a farmer's market will still have some commercial things masquerading as "from the farm" but it seemed as if 90% of these vendors actually have a farm that they get the items they sell from. There are a lot of food and juice vendors as well. If we hadn't eaten beforehand I would have tried some stuff because some of it looked REALLY good. Street parking was easy to find especially since this market is only open on Sundays.

Yelp
IM LATE TO THE PARTY BUT BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!! This will definitely part of my Sunday routine. The vibes here are immaculate and there's such a great and diverse range of vendors. I was able to get a peach cobbler from cobblermania which was delicious and I will be back this Sunday for another one. Fingers crossed they have their sweet potato one! I really want to try that one. I was also able to get some cookies from Selah Bakery, I can't wait to try! It's the black owned businesses for me!

Yelp
Ah, Hollywood Farmer's Market, can I say that having this available on Sundays is one of the pluses of living in the Hollywood area? There are plenty of 'farmer's markets' that are basically just outdoor supermarkets, basically a food fair with a couple of heads of lettuce thrown in. The stands here are full of farmers from the Southland and there's a range of every kind of produce, meats and of course food stalls if you'd like. There's plenty of samples if you're looking to try something new, or honestly just really like fresh fruits. There are also a few bakeries, Bezian is there and he's pretty surly but his bread is pretty good, it sells out quickly. Bub and Grandma's bread also shows up but there's huge lines for that. Honestly, just show up and be surprised, yes it can be crowded at times and the price tag can be a bit high, but overall it's just a good place to come fill up a bag or two.

Yelp
crazy, beautiful, weirdly diverse Hollywood. Living in the OC, Farmer's Markets around there are so dang small! I came up to the Hollywood Farmer's Market after catching a YouTube video and was intrigued. Makes sense. Hollywood is one of the trendiest cities around. Easy to find, parking garage has plenty of spaces for around 10 dollars. There are about 3 streets that are closed off for the food/merchandise vendors. There's lots of life around. People dancing, performing, all exotic smells and sights to tantalize and inspire your inner foodie, yogi, vegan, etc.! Prices were great for produce but pricey for food! You can even find the less common goods like Buddha hands, fresh eucalyptus, and all your holistic needs. I highly recommend checking out the scene.

Yelp
The Hollywood Farmers' Market runs every Sunday, at Selma and Ivar, from 8 AM - 1 PM. They have various vendors, selling items such as fresh produce, jams, herbs, olives, oils, juices, cheeses, and other gift items. I came here to check out a bagel stand, and while it's not a big block, some vendors can be easily missed due to their small signage or a lack of a directory. There are less people when they first open up, but it does get more crowded closer to 9-10 AM. Just note that there are little 'pockets' of vendors to go off from the main intersection. +Sundays, from 8 AM - 1 PM +limited metered street parking

Yelp
This Farmer's Market is A OKAY, a good spot with a nice selection of prepared food to eat there, nuts, vegetables, meats, fruits, flowers and grown decor n' edible stuff like sauces, honey, etc. There's not much in terms of homemade crafts as you find at some Farmer's Markets. Parking is good and easy if you come early, but this is in Hollywood, where it's always a little tough and long to get to (unless you live in the area) and later in the day there's less parking and more traffic. I don't think this is the premiere or best Farmer's Market ever, and there's nothing unique nor dynamic about it other than they have nice vendors and good stuff. So, if you're local or have plans for doing stuff in the area, that's fine and this is a good place to visit. I'd not qualify it as a destination venue in my book, coming from the South Bay, which is a bit of travel, where we have the Torrance Farmer's Market here as well as nearly one local event someplace within 15 minutes almost every day in the area.

Yelp
Love to stroll around in Sundays. Nice place with different vendors for many things and people.

Yelp
This is one of the greatest farmers markets ever. You can see the Hollywood Sign if you look north beyond the Walk of Fame. Parking is easy at 8 AM but a hassle after 9 AM. It's one of the great people watching spots in Hollywood, with people in their Sunday best, to sweat suits, pajamas, and ethnic outfits. There is fresh wild fish, great smelling and even better tasting food vendors, and crafts. But the star is the produce. Some of it is organic. If you take the time to speak to the vendors, it's fascinating to hear the care they take to grow, deliver, and display their goods. Most pick their goods Saturday, and make their way to the market to arrive before it opens. Unlike the produce departments in your typical supermarkets, most vendors can tell you the variety of the produce they sell. In late Spring they might have the rare sweet tart Santa Rosa plums or Green Gage plums in August. The melons you'll find in late summer include Ambrosia, Ogen developed in Israel, Hammi from Asia, and Charentais from France. The last time I was there in mid November, Arnett Farms was still selling several varieties of pluots and plums. I counted 10 vendors with citrus, including one from Ojai who was selling 3 varieties of tangerines, including the seedless Gold Nugget, mandarin type, and the very sweet Murcotts. There were about the same number of vendors selling 5 or so varieties of apples and grapes. They had both the Fuyu (eat crispy) and Hachiya (eat when soft) persimmons, The fruits I love most are the ones you rarely see in the supermarkets, like the creamy Sapote, aka Custard Apple native of South America. I also love the locally grown tropical guavas and Cherimoya. I haven't even mentioned the vegetables, but the varieties are equally varied. During the last visit, I got 3 varieties of beets (Detroit Red, Striped Chiogga, and Golden beets). Lots of lettuces, leaf veggies like spinach and kale, etc. There were lots of pumpkins and winter squash like Buternit, butter cup, and Blue Hubbard..The one thing they don't have much of are Asian Veggies like they have at the Irvine Farmer's Market. I actually live 45 miles away in the OC. But I come up here several times a season to find things I can't find anywhere else. Perhaps the only negative thing are the bathrooms, they're porta potties which I never use. I'm afraid I'd drop my wallet or cell phone in there! You have to put up with crowds, with an occasional whacko here and there. And as one yelper said, she is allergic to dogs and they don't seem to enforce the no dog rule.My secret is to get there at opening if you can. Parking is easier, selection is better, and the crowds thinner. Remember 5 servings of produce a day for better health. Organic would make that better.

Yelp
Reviewing for the fresh produce only, not the food cart/trailer scene. But first, wow Hollywood is really embarrassing now. Walking down the streets in the morning with the strong smell of human urine. Am I in Downtown LA? I was excited by other yelp reviews and quickly let down by my findings. I was there to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. Prices will cost more than the average supermarket or even Bristol Farms or WF by 50 cents a pound on average. For example, celery was being sold for $4. Sure it's organic but I don't think it's worth it. There were a lot of vendors selling the same items. I had the best luck buying fruits from the Arnett Fruit farm folks. They open at 8am. We got there at 7:45am and most of the vendors are set up and ready to go. Bring cash! Will I be coming back? Probably not.

Yelp
As extensive as this market is I've never had the heart-warming feeling I get when I go to other farmer's markets although I've tried several times. For one, it feels rudderless and lacking identity, comporting with its surroundings amidst brutalist concrete towers, garish tourist-oriented traps, and uninspiring commercial eateries designed to quickly serve the transient foot traffic of hapless tourists. In other words, it lacks the familiarity and anchors of much of any community. A clear signal that there is nary a community here is that LA Compost doesn't have a presence here, while they show up at markets a fraction of this size that a regular "neighborhood" clientele patronize, who will bring weekly frozen food scraps to add to their compost hubs. Any sign of community might be restaurant purchasers, who show up with their carts to buy wholesale from producers. The prices are generally jacked up, and I've comparison-shopped among different farmers markets across the LA sprawl. I've not found particularly friendly sellers either which is only to be expected, on the basis of the general anonymity of the clientele. If you don't mind spending a lot more for farmer's market foods, you won't mind it here at all. If you're looking for a market with a lot of prepared food sales tents, this market should be the ticket for you. It's heavy in "pop-ups" for small businesses, and cooked food like pupusas, kebabs, tamales, sandwiches, Anglo-tacos (fake-meat tacos are popular here, as they've successfully duped Americanos re: their GMO and chemical-intensive ag footprint), and other fun street foods. Torrance/Mar Vista have similar scale and diverse offerings if you're looking for size and spread, while much more cosy, and more economic options.

Yelp
Largest farmers market I have been to. Good variety and multiple musicians playing. Loved the vibe. They had someone shucking fresh oysters that looked good. I would highly recommend it. Don't forget to keep waking since it is large.
