Delicious, fresh seafood! I love the outdoor seating and being able to walk around in the Oxbow market. I ordered the poke, clam chowder and fresh oysters, such good quality. Also the heirloom tomato salad was amazing!

We ordered a mix plate of oysters and some smaller ones were my favorite, slightly sweet and not much aftertaste. Relatively fast service. Fried oysters were quite a good snack as well. Clam chowder was creamy and had ample amount of clams with shell attached. Great spot for a quick eat if visiting the oxbow market area.

This oyster bar was the highlight of my Napa Valley trip. The seafood stew was absolutely mind-blowing; I still remember its amazing flavor. And the oysters were so fresh and delicious. Will definitely come back every time I visit the area.

They were friendly, but not chatty at all. We sat at the oyster bar, which was a fun experience. There was some shell in the oysters that we had to spit out but the flavors were good. We had a nice time sitting, but we felt a little bit rushed at the end to make a note this place was not busy when we were there. I probably wouldn’t wait around for this restaurant but if they had seating open, I think it’s a fun stop.

This is a a restaurant in a shared space, so you could come here and then try something else after! We had the burrata cheese in red sauce with peas, a dozen oysters and some salad. With a few drinks dinner turned into a 200 affair. The waitress Karla helped us choose the oyster selection and it was so delicious. The dressing was cilantro heavy and sweet that tasted fantastic.

This was my first time dinning at Hog Island Oyster Bar. What a wonderful experience. We had the Clam chowder, Halibut poke and the Hog Island Sweetwater Oysters. The place was not crowded, and we did not have to wait to be seated. It had a nice atmosphere located in the Oxbow Public Market with a lot of little shops and bars surrounding it. The staff was attentive and quick to take our order. I will be going to this place again.

Came here again this past weekend before going to Flora Springs, got the order of fish tacos and a "6 for $24" of raw oysters. I usually come here with people who want to eat elsewhere, so I like that you can choose the "takeout" option to get your own order and sit in the communal area with other people who may not also want oysters. Pros: - REALLY FRESH OYSTERS. I like all of them and they're all delicious. Comes with lemon and light cilantro oil. - Organized service, there's a line outside the seated bar area that you can line up at before they open (sometimes can open late depending on timing of delivery), and they give you a buzzer so you can walk elsewhere while waiting for your order to avoid that area being crowded - Has seating outdoors if you want to eat at the actual restaurant - Food came out pretty quickly - Staff were professional and nice 10/10 will be coming back

No doubt this place served fresh oysters!! The service was great, you can watch your oysters being open if you are sitting at the bar. The vibe was great! Review on their raw oysters only. I got the Oyster Bar Mixed which consists of oysters from 4 diff farms: CA, 2 WA & NC My favorite is the Hog Island Sweet Water (see pic - the ones on right of lemons). Flavor is great & so sweet! I recommend it to any 1st time raw oyster eaters! The only downside is the price. They add a "health / safety" fee, which I think it's part of the health insurance thing the biz offer. So I paid like $50 for 12 oysters. I assume it prob cheaper to eat it at their farm instead of the restaurant. Def wanna more of their oysters!

first time here, friend made reservations. a high end oyster famous restaurant oyster was good. chowders were also not bad except the sea clams has too many sand inside!

This is our favorite place for lunch midweek. Especially during our "Cabernet season" (December and January)! We were there yesterday and had bowls of clam chowder with a little bread and butter. The Hog Island chowder is the best. Fresh, delicious, clams and wonderful vegetables. Every bowl is made fresh when you order it. A chowder lunch at the bar* with a view of the kitchen is the way to go! The waitstaff at Hog Island is always top notch. Usually tenured, these guys and gals can make good recommendations from the menu as well as the beer and wine list. Put Hog Island on your list, particularly for locals enjoying the relative peace of Cabernet season! *The bar at Hog Island is a beautiful bespoke surface decorated with inlaid seashells. It is a great addition to the ambiance (and an inspiration to home kitchen decor!).

We love coming here every time we visit Napa.. The oysters are so fresh and so delicious. We decided to have the 24 assorted oysters. It's great for four people or even three. Beautiful bottle of Franche family Chardonnay and we were set Very dog friendly , and lots of kiddos... street parking a little bit of parking lot not much we walked a half a mile and it was perfect. This place gets busy.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm and it was still packed at Hog island! I had to wait in line before getting a seat indoors, not at the bar or outside. (Tip- be aggressive about where you are in line because people don't read signs on where the line starts and will just just the line for a table) After actually getting seated, the service and food was seamless though. We ordered (2) clams on the half shell, (12) hog island sweetwater, (6) grilled oyster mix (miso nori butter, harissa, sriracha cilantro butter). Littleneck clams on the half shell - very sweet and paired well with the dulce seaweed chimichurri and Calabrian chili sauce. My only regret was getting only 2. Hog Island Sweetwater - as the name suggests, these were nice and sweet without being briney. I ordered these because I typically enjoy the Kumamoto and wanted a sweet oyster. (Note - Hog Island Sweetwater oysters were the most similar to Kumamoto in flavors, but I was told by the waitress that the Hog Island Sweetwaters are larger in size) Grilled oyster mix - it comes with 2 miso nori butter, 2 harissa, and 2 sriracha cilantro butter. I'd probably rank in sriracha cilantro #1, miso nori #2, then in last place would be the harissa. The waitress said the harissa was probably the favorite, but it was my least favorite. If you look at pictures, the harissa is the one submerged in the chili paste. While the miso nori and sriracha cilantro were modestly flavored, I felt the harissa's chili paste was overpowering and took over the flavor profile of the oysters. The outdoor seating looked nice too with a view but we were on a time crunch. There is plenty of parking options nearby, whether at the oxbow public market (where hog island is located), street parking, or another parking lot across the street.

AMAZING food! We are From Newport Beach and these oysters blew it out of the park! Delicious. The shrimp Linguini had sausage in it and it was way more protein that expected! All the boys were so happy. The clam chowder took work on the clams which was a little annoying at first but once we tried the broth we immediately forgot about that because it was so good. Did not know you can have a white chowder that was so thin with so much flavor! Also if you are there for the turkey thanksgiving hot oysters GET THEM!!! We sat outside and the twinkle lights were the perfect end of day hang out spot

Super bummed that this Hog Island sucks now! They have a totally different menu that SF and the Oyster Po Boy is served on this gross, dry roll and does not come with fries like the San Francisco location. The oysters portion seems miniscule, too. You can order a side of fries but they are also totally different than San Francisco. Tasteless! The kind of fries you want to leave. The ones at the other location are so addictive! Not sure who made these choices for this location but there's a reason SF has a line down the side of the building. It's so much better than this! Goodbye Hog Island Napa!

It's my first time here at the Napa location. It's tucked to the side of the public market. We wanted a quick bite to eat before we explored the area. The service was nice and quick. There is a bar area and a patio outside. I enjoyed the Caesar salad a lot. I was intrigued by the grilled oyster mix because I don't see that in most places. Each flavor was delicious, but my favorite was the one with bourbon. It had a nice sweetness to it. Our favorite raw oysters have always been the Kumamoto oysters. They are small and sweet!

We were looking for a quick lunch amongst an early Friday afternoon. We had stopped by Oxbow market, and it was a perfect spot for lunch. It had plenty of seating outside, but we had chose a table inside since it was a little chilly and windy day outside. We had an awesome Server and they were on top of everything we needed like water refills and also made sure we had everything we needed for our Lunch. We had a dozen Oysters and a few appetizers with a few Adult drinks. I had a Stout and a Shrimp Po' boy sandwich. The Clam Chowder is really good and I had a few Oysters. The pickled Veggies and Calamari were also very good.. We had also had the bread baskets and definitely had enjoyed all their Oysters. We will be back if were in the area of Napa and the Oxbow Market.

We came here for the Oyster and seafood in general incredible taste, the service was fast and our server was very attentive and the rest of the staff, great place to eat not only is in the Market you are able to see your food being cook and served if seating in the bar area. Will definitely check Hog Island when in Napa again. You can't miss this place if you are a seafood lover.

Decided to get some oysters with our lunch after wine tasting in the Napa area. Hog island is known for their fresh seafood dishes, so we trusted their oysters as well. We ordered half a dozen oysters, 2 of their current oyster selections. Half a dozen came out to be around $24 before tax and I would say it's slightly on the pricier side, but you do pay for the quality. The oysters tasted so fresh and one of them was super creamy. Service was quick and it's located in the back of the food hall with their own private indoor and outdoor dining area.

I'm a huge fan of seafood and oyster bars. And if you're like me, and looking for a quick bite in between tastings, you gotta swing by Oxbow market and grab a plate here. I recommend the po'boy if you're looking for something a bit heartier--the bread was perfectly grilled and still soft and the cold slaw was a perfect compliment to the rich oysters. I'd also recommend sitting out at the patio; it's a great space covered with shade. Service has always been super quick and friendly. (Not pictured are the oysters on the half shell we ordered and instantly devoured)

I had higher expectations for Hog Island since they specialize in seafood and oysters I wasn't a big fan of the clam chowder soup. The plate is full of clam with shell, but the consistency of the soup was so light like it was wattered down. The grilled oyster was a big miss. It was not half as good the one we had in new Orleans. The seafood stew was ok, but again, it was wattered down. The fresh oysters were good. Our server was nice and attentive.

came on a weekend after noon and there was still quite a short wait! We waited around 15-20 minutes before being seated. located inside oxbow public market, theres a lot of options and people here! ordered : (4/5) -oyster bar mix: came with about 12 oysters! It was delicious! I enjoyed trying the different oysters and they all tasted super fresh. - spot prawns: I was very disappointed in this. It came with 4 prawns, which were all over cooked and cold. This didn't come with any seasoning at all as well. It felt like they were cooked long ago because it did not feel fresh. not worth the steep price for 4 prawns :( - rustic seafood stew: reminded me of an cioppino! There was fish, mussels, and clams in a tomato base stew. Delish with the bread they served with it. service: (5/5) the service was amazing. There was a fly in my wine and they were really nice about it and gave me a new glass! vibe: there is bar seating as well as outside seating! Great for a small party or on a date. parking: located in oxbow with a large parking lot. parking can be hard since it gets pretty busy but theres an additional parking lot next door. overall: Great if you are craving seafood and in the area. The price is a bit steep but the quality is pretty fresh!

Always A great Place to pick up a dozen or Two oysters ... Hog island Has Alot of Locations but this one is My Favorite... Ferry Building is good but Always Packed with A Long Line. I Like to eat @ The Bar sometimes and watch the Super Hero's Shuck Show... Behind the Glass, but This trip was cool enough to Eat outside! Started with A Refreshing Glass of Fresh Homemade Lemonade... it was Like a combination of Chick Fil A and Raising Canes Lemonade Had A Baby... lol but way Better! Started with A Trio set of different oysters... A You Have to get yourself a Hot Bowl of their "Clam Chowder"... Best in Da World ... it is A Must Have @ Any Hog island ... big piece's of Bacon Fresh Herbs, and Super Tasty Manila Clams in the shell... broth is Extremely creamy silky but Light ... smoky and smooth... with a little touch of Butter... The Fresh cracked pepper Makes the complete spoonFull of Wholesome goodness!!! WoW it is Like Heaven's Milk... in A Bowl... just give me a Jaccuzzi size Serving plzzz... 10+ Starz and Service is Always Awesome... but After Here you Need To skip and Walk off the chowder and Bread... by Visiting Field Work Brewery around the corner... they used to be inside but Moved to A Bigger place in the back corner... Hog island Has Oyster style stout/porter beer Great place try Hog island it's da Perfect Afternoon snack!!! See y'all soon Thanks and ALoHa... So good, and so filling. Had to try the Clam Chowder and was pleasantly surprised by it's construction with whole clams in the shell rather than the usual chopped or minced clams. Great broth with large chunks of potato. It was very good. Of course the Oysters were excellent, served with a nice Mignonette. My wife had the Shrimp Po-Boy, which had a nice light batter coating and minimal dressing (as she prefers). Their Cole Slaw is also excellent. I then had a Grilled Cheese sandwich that was mind-blowingly good. This isn't your Mom's melted American Cheese on White Bread. It's top of the line imported cheeses on sourdough bread. I don't even want to think about the calories, and didn't care as it was so good.

Lovely place near downtown Napa. The outdoor seating is refreshing and by the water in a shaded area. The food is as fresh as it gets as well. The oysters are displayed at the bar on ice and it seems like their ingredients are sourced locally in the Ox Market. The grilled cheese has a variety of cheeses that I have seen at the cheese store across from Hog Island. This place is on the pricier end with about $30 for the grilled oyster mix. The flavors rotate out, and this time I liked the horseradish the most. Fries are delicious and can run about $12. Great place after a day of drinking the finest wines of Napa!

We couldn't make it to the farm in Marshall so we settled for lunch at the bar in the Oxbow Market. The only problem with eating here is that EVERYTHING is good, it all looks mouthwatering and you can't stop once you start. The fact that their own oysters are super fresh and travel short distances from their own farms to your plate is a plus, but they offer oysters from other producers as well. Parking is for the entire market, and while there are always spaces available it may be a short walk, rather than the lot adjacent to the market. Expect a wait or a line before opening. There are no reservations at this location, but there are at one of their other handful of locations (including St. Pete, FL) There is indoor seating, "bar" seating (recommended) and limited outdoor seating as well. One can also order "to go" and sit outside in the common areas. It's a cool spot, but not on the water like the farm. There is no true bar, but wine and beer are available. We started with a course of 6 grilled Chipotle bourbon oysters (fantastic, $18), then a sampling of three raw oysters (choices vary with availability, 12 for $45), followed by the amazing Hog Island clam chowder ($21). We sat at the corner of the bar, next to the chef and the Grilled Cheese Station, but managed to resist the grilled cheese. Service was amazing throughout and was nice chatting with the chef, a 13 year veteran. If you like fresh seafood, don't miss it.

Every time I come here it's always an amazing dinning experience and today was no exception. The cab cake was amazing and the oysters are always perfect. Today I also tried the garlic fries for the first time and they were delicious. The house pilsner beer was great as well.. I sat outside on the patio and the sunset view of the mountains was spectacular ! it was a little chilly but the space heaters kept me warm. My server and the overall customer service was excellent. A great dinning experience!!

I absolutely loved this place. We had oysters and they were fresh and creamy. I love Cioppino and this one was absolutely killer. We sat in the patio, in the hottest day this year and I have no regrets. Nothing a cold glass or wine and a beer can't help with. Our server was a serious man wearing boots but he surprised us with a couple of jokes. Everyone that helped us was also friendly.

One of my favorite Napa spots located inside the Oxbow market. It is small and there is limited seating at the oyster bar (sitting at the bar and watching my meal expertly prepared and oysters being shucked is fun) . I love the upscale version of clam chowder and a glass of chardonnay.

Hubby had this famous oyster bar on his foodie bucket list for awhile, so when it came time for our babymoon, I knew we had to pay a visit! I ordered the Rustic Seafood Stew. The seafood is really flavorful and the grilled levain bread is really delicious! Complete with nice grill marks and topped with olive oil! I would recommend this location, located inside the well-known Oxbow Public Market! Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and we're looking forward to returning to check out more restaurants and shops inside! A must-try place if you are an oyster lover! This restaurant is located inside Oxbow Public Market. Their fresh oysters are a must! They have a great local selection. I got their clam chowder and grilled cheese and it was a fantastic combo. There are so many clams in the chowder! I recommend getting the garlic fries if you are looking for a dish to share with the table. I personally love garlic and wished it had more garlic, but if you like a lighter garlic flavor, then this will be perfect for you. The fries were crispy and well done. Seating is limited inside but they have more tables outside!

Came on a Sat and did not have to wait. There was a line to see the hostess for her to assign the seats though. We had our service dog so we sat outside in the patio area. It was nice. The tables were not crowded so it gave us more room for our dog which we appreciated. The Bloody Mary was really delicious. Highly recommend it. I had the steamed clams- one of my favorite dish. While the clams itself was on the small side, there was a lot in my bowl so I was stuffed. some of the clams did have sand so expect it.

Hog Island Oysters are great wherever the location! The person up front taking my order was really nice and the oysters and alcohol came out pretty quick.

We indulged in a mix of their offerings and were thoroughly impressed with the quality and taste. One highlight of our visit was trying the Hog Island Lager. I used their own Bloody Mary mix, and it was a game-changer--refreshing and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was lively, and the service was top-notch. Can't wait to come back and enjoy more of what Hog Island has to offer!

Anytime I'm relatively close to Napa, I make a detour to come here. I love this place. Not a big menu, but what they do they do amazing. A must is always to start with oysters and though so many great choices, I went local with their own Deep Water and Sweet Waters and they were both amazing. So fresh, briny and with plenty of liquid. I can't help always also ordering the clam chowder. This isn't your typical thick fare, but chock full of small manilla clams. There must be 2 dozen in there. In a light, creamy broth studded with bacon, leeks, onions and potato. It's fantastic and possibly the best clam chowder I've ever had and I lived in Boston for 15 years. This time I tried the grilled lingcod collar and that too was fantastic. In a great chili sauce over some swiss chard which broke up the richness of the fish. Perfectly cooked, just enough, not too much. It's such a meaty section and a steal at $12. Service is always great and I love sitting at the bar to watch them shucking oysters and the kitchen cranking. Only downside is parking is quite difficult and you have to shark a bit to get a spot, but it's well worth it!

First time at Hog Island Oyster in Napa. We frequently go to the San Francisco Ferry Building location and love it there. This location is a bit smaller. It is located in the Oxbo Public Market in Napa. We sat at the oyster bar where the full menu is offered. They did not have a full bar so I ordered a glass of wine. Beer and wine are the choices. We got our usual Bourbon Grilled Oysters, Burrata Salad, and Clam Chowder. Besides the Burata Salad which was delicious the other food was prepared differently from the San Francisco location. It was good but unexpected. Our server was polite and a few of the others staff we had interaction was nice as well.

I visited Hog Island Oyster Co. on Tuesday, 4/2/24, around 4:30 PM for an early dinner. I was elated that I came during Happy Hour. I decided to order the Happy Hour Samish Pearl Oysters for $2 each. The oysters were extremely fresh in quality and tasted delicious, especially with the side of vinaigrette and hot sauce. For the entree, I got the Rustic Seafood Stew. The dish was beyond flavorful and had a good abundance of seafood. What I liked most about it was the palatable spice-herbed tomato broth. My server for the day was Vannia. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. I liked her hospitality and service. The outdoor seating was beautiful. It was a wonderful experience to enjoy the food in the patio area with a nice view of downtown Napa. Hog Island Oyster Co. is outstanding. I highly recommend coming here.

It was Jan so we avoided the crowded summer folks. Sitting outside, lovely spot to enjoy the beautiful sunset We ordered three delicious dishes to share, and loved all of it. Beautiful view at an outdoor table on a summer evening. Service was slower than expected, but our server was very friendly. Our 24 oyster platter was as great as it always is! The fried oyster Poboy sandwich is a favorite of mine. The corn gazpacho was delicious, but one could hardly call it gazpacho - it's much more like a chowder. I've forgotten the name of the whitefish small plate that our son had but he said it was delicious as well. They add a 5% "employee benefit fee" to your bill, which is clearly stated on the menu as required by law. Hog Island has gotten quite expensive over the last few years, but the food is as great as ever.

I wasn't sure if I'd done a review for HIOC and if I did it was probably back in 2008 when I started using Yelp and we found this cozy place in Napa. That's gonna be 16 years and that says a lot to a business that's not only still open but it's always busy especially on the weekends. If you're here for oysters, then you come to the right place I'm not really a wrong oyster type of guy grilled ones flavorful and cooked. They have other things to you might want to check out their chowder and seafood soup, which is very filling. Two items I've also want to mention that I have so they've got this grilled cheese sandwich that's to die for! It's a bit tricky to describe why it's to die for because it's basically just bread and cheese that's grilled. I guess what makes it so good it's just very cheesy and the bread is plenty full meaning and not getting a thin ass slice of bread you're getting a good cut and a good portion. Last thing I want to say is if you happen to bring kids with you like we did over the weekend order their french fries Crispy fries I've ever had and we always make an effort to get an order for the whole table and everyone is happy. Although we no longer live in Solano County, we make an effort to visit Island anytime we can, keep up the great work.

I have been here many times. Always get the oysters and clam chowder. This time I venture out... I got the sardine salad... LOVED it!!! I don't think I've ever ordered something that I didn't like here! Excellent food & services. They have a seafood bar indoor but most of the seating is located outside, so if you come in the fall, dress warm!

OMG you guys!!! The service here is always impeccable but it is amazing. There has to be some sort of sorcery. This place must be the American equivalent of Platform 9 3/4! My cousin showed our wizard waitress , Giovanna, footage from the last tome we ate here and she identified exactly what we ordered last time!! As you know, I've got sone food allergies and sensitivities. She not only checked but she also reviewed the menu for straight-forwardness. This was all done quickly! Ambiance? You're seated by a window beside the Napa river and the CIA's gourmet garden.

When in Napa, we had to try this place. We ordered the fresh Oyster Bar Mix as well as the Grilled Oyster Mix. Oysters were fresh and sweet to taste. The flavor combinations were spot on. We also had the garlic fries and shishito peppers. Overall food satisfied our cravings. Service was great. Ambiance was casual and friendly. It's easy to spot Hog island Oysters inside of the Oxbow in Napa, as it has a nice open kitchen to invite you in. The chefs are constantly shucking oysters and whipping up fresh bowls of chowder. We saw the chowder being made in a hot skillet and thought "we want to get some of that". And that's exactly what we did. We ordered the Kumamoto oysters, the classic clam chowder and steamed clams with pasta. The Kumamoto oysters were visibly smaller than other oysters, but they were more flavorful and delicious to eat raw. There was a guy next to us complaining that his regular raw oysters were "too small" and demanded that the chef to pick "bigger ones". Me and my fiancé both shook our heads and continued our business. Both main dishes were made to order and were served sizzling hot. Both were delicious as the clam chowder was creamy and the steamed clams over pasta was full of spices. However, our favorite was clearly the clam chowder as it was bursting with flavors and not too salty or creamy. It was a fun place to have a quick lunch inside the Oxbow and next time we will try more oysters and share a clam chowder instead.

I didn't know what to expect and almost didn't go because i didn't think it was a sit down place. This place is inside of a huge market area with tons of eateries/shops, it gave me a mall food court vibe. Well this place actually does have its own sitting area and you can check in for a table inside ( which is limited) or the covered patio outside. We opt for a few table in the market place and we ordered 24 raw oysters and 6 mixed grilled! I'm usually not into oysters but the group i was with likes them so i also had a few and OMG these were the freshest oysters I've had. I actually ordered the grilled for myself but i was enjoying the raw so much more. We devoured these so fast we debated getting another round. The service was fast as well, the host that took our order was friendly and pleasant to deal with when ordering. A week later and we all want to go back for an oyster day instead of wine day Too bad i don't have pictures of the oysters

Before any of our vineyard trips, it's always lunch first. Majority of the times, it's nice to have plenty to choose from in Oxbow. Always busy at every merchant. But my choice is always this place. One of my top choices for oysters. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff and food is delicious. I'll usually order clam chowder and fresh raw oysters. Yummm! Never disappoints!

This was my second time coming to this specific Hog Island location, and once again, it did not disappoint. The oysters were good, and the service was attentive, although it was during a quieter period. The clam chowder was solid and complemented the oysters well. My favorite was the Sweetwater oyster, and I love that you can pick your own for a custom order. If you're looking for fresh oysters, Hog Island is definitely the place to go. Just be prepared to spend some $$$, as it can get pricey. The quality of the seafood and the attentive service make it worth the cost, especially if you're a fan of oysters. I highly recommend it for a special occasion or a treat-yourself kind of meal.

After wine tasting I was craving some oysters and saw that Hog Island has happy hour tues/wed 4-6pm. We got there at 4 pm and promptly ordered a dozen oysters, and the calabrian garlic grilled oysters. The $2 happy hour oysters were great, super tasty and fresh!! The chargrilled garlic oysters were freaking delicious 4/$18 but these oysters are huge and meaty! They also had a crostini on the happy hour menu but we didn't order it. Great place for oysters, and an even better deal during HH!

I've been hog island before, but this was my first time trying the Napa location. We came on a Sunday after our little wine tasting, and although the restaurant wasn't super busy, but just the area was. But the area is nice and has little shops where you can do a little shopping. We were seated outside, and it was definitely a nice day. We mostly came for the oysters, and they were delicious! The fries were definitely a hit, and the shrimp cake was delicious! Overall, the experience was great, only con is there is no hard liquor.

This is a good place to catch something to eat when in Downtown Napa. Hog Island is located in the Oxbow Public Market. There's a large outdoor dining area with heat lamps which was perfect for a late lunch. As you would imagine, we started off with a dozen oysters which were delicious! The oysters, along with a Bloody Mary, warmed you right up. I went with the oyster Po Boy for lunch and I really enjoyed it. My wife had the steamed clams with pasta and like it as well. Great lunch spot for us!

Located in Oxbow Public Market and right next to the Napa wine train! This is one of the usual stops when coming to Napa just to walk around the little indoor market place and for some oysters on a nice sunny day. Usually get the set of fresh oysters and the set of grilled oysters. Delish!

My fiance and I went here when it opened at 11AM on the weekend. It wasn't very busy and we sat at the bar. Ambiance was very relaxed/chill, as this restaurant was part of the public market. We didn't order any entrees. So I can only speak about the oysters, but they were excellent!! I came in with high expectations due to these Yelp reviews, and they were met. These oysters were very fresh--juices were clear, oysters were plump, glossy, and tasted like the ocean. They were also well-shucked and clean. I even saw them unloading a truck full of oysters right before we went in. At first, we only ordered six because the oysters seemed pricey, but we had to order a second round. Our favorites were the Hog Island High waters and the Dukes. We also ordered the mixed grilled oysters. It was also delicious. Our favorite were the chipotle oysters. The staff were very easy-going and gave excellent recommendations on which types of oysters to try.

Ordered the rustic seafood stew, which was quite enjoyable. Bountiful seafood and Acme bread is always a plus. Friendly service and outdoor seating made for a pleasant experience.

We had the best experience at this Napa location. The oysters were fresh. We ordered both raw and cooked. For the raw we got the mixed bar, for the cooked for got the habanero and garlic flavor , both were equally good. We also ordered a bunch of food including halibut poke, burrata, yellow tail crudo, garlic fries , cocktails and a bottle of bubbly. All of their plates were uniquely tasty and the service was good too. This place is located inside a public market but they have their outside seating area Facing the Napa river which was nice.

Great food, chaotic setting, expensive... but perfect for a splurge on an afternoon snack. The entire market facility where this restaurant is located, was busy as hell on a Saturday afternoon. But we were seated and served quickly. All the shellfish we got were delicious. One gripe, they could give you some free bread with the clams and mussels. I mean.. who doesn't dip the bread in the broth? The clam chowder was tasty, but it was not really clam chowder- it was more like steamed clams in a chowder broth.

Hog Island has gorgeous views and is right on the water. We were there on a Saturday and they closed pretty early so we were lucky we able to get seated and got to enjoy a sunset drink on the patio. They have a variety of oyster and seafood. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the various oyster options. We thoroughly enjoyed the three types we tried. The garlic shrimp was also amazing.
