Hodad's Downtown

Still the best burger in town. But sitting at the bar for 10 minutes while every front-line employee walked past me at least twice before one of them even noticed me is unacceptable. It wasn't that busy either. The waiter never stopped back to check on me and never brought me the check. And now they add 3% to every check above the listed menu prices.

Woow the burgers and sides were huge and super tasty, amazing! The food was way more greasy than necessary but if you don't mind that I definitely recommend! Staff was very friendly and the vibes were very positive.

I am such a huge fan of this burger joint!! The inside was soooo cool! LOVED the way they decorated - this is the type of vibe you only get after years and years of effort - piece by piece. The quality of the food at Hodads is easily in the top five all time for a burger joint imo. The OG burger was absolutely out of this world. Loved the heaping amount of pastrami on top. The onion rings were to die for, as well as the fries. Bottom line, this is an all time great restaurant to get a burger. I even got myself and awesome Hodads “Jaws” t-shirt I liked it so much. Also have to give a big nod to the staff - they were so attentive and kind.

We missed lunch on our way to San Diego, so we did a quick search for burgers and came up with Hodad's. Great choice! The burger was huge with fresh and tasty toppings. Onion rings were a little ordinary, but the little wedgie fries were tasty too. The Rock and roll bar looking interior was cool too and the servers all friendly.

My son took my wife and myself out it was an excellent choice of venue. Food was excellent, the burgers were huge and for once I ate a hamburger that huge where the bun didn't come apart in your hands, but the food wast delicious, service was great but only cause when I went there were no women running around in a tight little miniskirt, atmosphere was great and very chillaxin.

Visited Hodad's during my first visit to San Diego. This is very funky and trendy place that didn't disappoint. I had the recommended Guido Burger 🍔 and this burger is not for the faint of heart. It included pastrami, burger patty, cheese and toppings upon toppings. Highly recommend but remember to pace yourself...it's a marathon not a sprint!!! We also finished off our meal with an order of half rings and fries. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Will definitely visit again when back in San Diego. Try it and you won't be dissappointed!

I loved this food! Came in with 2 buddies from the ship and it was amazing, Piping hot off the line with a ton of amazing conversation to have with the crew. Thank you for the time to Decompress and enjoy a hot meal after a long day at work.

This place checks off the big 3. Great food, friendly servers, with a really cool atmosphere from the music, to the movie choices on the tv in the corner and the stickers over just about every inch of the place. Bring a huge appetite because the portions are monstrous and the flavors are so good you will try to eat it all! The onion rings and shakes are a must. The burgers have tons of fresh toppings. You will not go home disappointed no matter what your order here.
