B-52 Lake, also known as Huu Tiep Lake, is a small lake in Hanoi, Vietnam, where the wreckage of a B-52 bomber that was shot down during the Vietnam War still remains submerged. The lake is a poignant reminder of the fierce air raids of 1972, particularly Operation Linebacker II.
The lake and its wreckage have become a symbol of Vietnamese resilience and a testament to the country's successful defense against the American bombing campaign.
When my friends and I visited this B-52 Lake on a good weather, it looked absolutely majestic and magical (see my attached photos). Recommended to visit if you're in Hanoi!
