Herman Miller Retail Store

This place is great to find furniture you like! The staff is very attentive and nice. To be honest the prices are very high but the quality of the items is great!

Nice chairs, Aeron is the first chair I think of when I want an ergonomic chair. It's good that they have store so I could try it out before buying. Excellent communication until I paid my $$. I feel like chairs are a bit difficult to maneuver, too many knobs and instructions for me to remember, also there was no instruction manual that came with the chair. Herman Miller should realize not everyone is expert in their chairs and some of us need instruction manual. I put order thru the store. Wrong chair came, it took some time to get the right one, and some of communication issues, but ultimately I received the right chair. PS. I wish they make headrests for Aeron chairs.

I always love visiting this beautiful Herman Miller showroom and store on the corner of 20th Street & Park Ave South, just north of Union Square. The gorgeous sets of furniture are beautifully arranged and give a true feeling of what they can look like in one’s home. I’m a big fan of all Eames designs, it’s always a pleasure seeing them in a real space. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. Do visit.

Had excellent experiences the three times I came in. First shout out to Besso M who spent time going over all the models, testing them out. Next Bradley W went through the ordering process and took care of most of it and finally Hannah B for painlessly and quickly processing a refund when it came up. Great customer service so far.

Had a really weird situation here. I had a good experience with the salesperson checking out chairs. And I figured out what I wanted and said I wanted to shop around a bit as it was $1500+. They said if I found a better price let them know and they'll match. Well, I did find a better price at another retailer (about 35% off list) and went back since they were the official retailers and I'd prefer buying through them. Showed them the invoice, and they said they couldn't match it. So I contacted the other retailer to buy and they said the Herman Miller called them right after I left and told them they couldn't sell me the chair for that price. Felt really scummy, not happy at all.

Chairs are good but the sales associate doesn't seem to be interested at all, almost made us feel unwelcome. Going to buy from Steelcase instead.

Worst service ever! Associates are clearly not interested in doing their job. Came in because we were seriously interested in a couch and needed swatches. One associate pointed us towards the wrong colors the other one sat down next to us and proceeded to switch between ignoring us and chatting with her coworker about his glasses... Even after we asked her a few times for help. She just gave us a blank stare. Your entire job is to sell furniture and support customers, if you think you are too good for it why are you even there?? That woman associate has no business working with customers, Should not be allowed anywhere near them. We left empty handed and will take our business elsewhere as this was by far the rudest experience

Nice and clean shop, attentive staff and Alexander was a fantastic salesman. Very thorough and happy to take the time!
