Small hotel, and small room, but very comfortable bed. Nice restaurant, excellent breakfast and great staff.||Well located, close to the Central station (less than 10 minutes walk) and the river. Direct train from the Airport to the Central station, which takes less than 15 minutes.||Perfect for business in the center of Zürich.

The hotel staff was indeed very helpful and accommodating, which made my stay more pleasant. However, one of the drawbacks was the size of the room. It was considerably smaller than expected, which made it a bit challenging to move around comfortably, especially if you had multiple pieces of luggage. On the bright side, the hotel's location was relatively convenient, with a subway station nearby, making it easy to get around the city. This accessibility was a definite plus for exploring Zürich's attractions.

A wonderful hotel. Welcoming, helpful staff. Cosy room with a leafy view and balcony overlooking the river. Quiet. Unusually good restaurant. We had delicious breakfasts on the nice terrace (also overlooking the river) and an excellent dinner in the upscale restaurant. It's just all good.

Nice space for 2 of us. Me and my husband enjoyed the strategic location and closeness to tram stations. Just a tram ride away from the zurich Hb station. Just a stone’s throw away from Coop and apotheke, various coffeeshops and fast food outlets.

Nice, modern (renovated) hotel with air conditioning. Stylish. Very comfortable beds! No safes in the room, and the size is a tad small, but it gets the job done in comfort. Breakfast is very expensive (25 CHF), so I skipped that. Get it elsewhere.

I have stayed with Hotel Helvetia a few times now for business trips and have loved how flexible and supportive they are. I prefer to stay at smaller hotels, and they are very conveniently located -- a 15 min walk to the main train station or right next to a train stop that will get you there in just a few min. The staff have always been friendly, accommodating, and helpful on every trip. Thank you for always taking care of me and making sure I feel at home :)

There's no getting away from the fact that the rooms are very noisy. The building's age and location mean you constantly hear the rumble of a passing tram; the whoosh of a flushing toilet, or the creaking of old floorboards. So unfortunately the hotel fails in one key aspect: sleep quality. It doesn't matter how expensive the bed is when the room is this loud. On top of that, it gets stuffy and the loose blackout curtains still let in a lot of light. Otherwise the hotel is a standard-issue "boutique hotel" with quirky design, expensive toiletries and not much else. If you can forego these superficial aspects, it is easy to find better value for money in Zurich. My "Large Double Room" was roomy and bright, but the furnishings were basic - no desk; just one chair; open clothes rail. Not to mention the surprisingly shabby condition: this much chipped paint and scuffed wallpaper doesn't happen overnight. A huge pro for this hotel is the partnership with Indigo Fitness. It is a truly superb gym and having free access as a hotel guest would be the reason I'd stay at the Helvetia again.

A little loud at night, so just make sure to close your window! Staff was incredibly friendly and let us take an umbrella because we forgot ours. They also arranged for self check in as we arrived after reception closed!
