Why Fall Is the Perfect Time to Visit Zürich—And Discover the World of Swiss Wine | Vogue

"Tucked up under the eaves of the Hotel Helvetia are two apartments, and I’ve stayed in one on every visit. The walls of the apartment are hung with artworks by Verena Loewensberg, Erik Steinbrecher, James Turrell, and Beat Zoderer and there’s a Hästens bed in each. But for lifelong insomniacs, like me, the real luxury is a kitchenette that allows me to make a nice cup of tea before the cafe downstairs is open, a big table for working, and walls of leaded glass windows that open wide so I can let February’s fat snowflakes and the sound of the churchbells drift in." - Maggie Harrison

This is a great little hotel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, attentive to needs. The rooms are very spacious with good air con. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast is very nice with a nice fresh selection. The hotel was quite lively with a few functions on but the rooms were well insulated, the air con meant we could keep the windows closed. Conveniently located 5 minutes from Zurich main station. It is in a good location to explore Zurich. Would recommend this hotel for a stay in Zurich.

We arrived from airport via uber and were welcomed early to one of the 2 rooms. Then we were able to see how easy it was to walk to the train station and sights we wanted to see in the Old City. Restaurant was very good for breakfast and dinner. Beds were cozy and air conditioning was provided. Rooms were small but well equipped and bath was lovely. Coffee was free in library . We would recommend it and stay again.

A great hotel. Small and basic room but very cozy and clean. GREAT location right near the main streets but quiet. located by the river and very close to the train station. We loved the most: "The library" a room and a balcony, accessible all day long, with tea coffee, books and board games where you can relax by the riverside. it made our stay very comfortable and memorable

This boutique hotel is eclectic, comfortable, clean and basic with an ideal location close to old town. The staff are helpful and friendly. Things of note: the hotel is two buildings combined and in the older of the two it is not central air but through a window a/c unit; medium and large rooms are spacious with adequate storage; limited hooks in the bathroom or shelving for storage. ||Note: cosy rooms are not suited for more than one person.

Nice, clean studio apartment for very reasonable cost. Neighborhood wasn’t the best, though we didn’t feel unsafe. 8 min walk to a square with a Great Cafe and several packed bars. It was a great deal for a one night stay before cruise.

Wonderful boutique hotel . Located close to the train station but not too close ! Nice neighborhood with shops and restaurants on the river . Ask for a room overlooking the river or it may be a bit noisy Staff was very helpful and accommodating. There is a coffee service nespresso machine in the library which also has an outdoor patio overlooking the river . We ate breakfast at the restaurant on our last day -good but nothing special . Definitely enjoyed our stay .

This is a nice hotel in a good location, only 10 minutes walk from Zurich HB. ||First thing to say is the staff are brilliant and very accommodating. Our room was ready early for us and given we were running the marathon, they were understandable and flexible with our checkout time, so we could shower before our flight!||The room itself was small but had mostly everything we needed, the only thing we would suggest is that a safe would be nice. The bathroom was nice and it had an excellent shower.||The only slight downside is that it's beside a busy road. As such it can be noisy if it's warm and you open the windows overnight, though obviously nothing they can do about this.||Overall I would definitely recommend staying here
