I recently completed the ASA 101 course with Harbor Sailboats, and I can't recommend them highly enough. My instructor was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also made the experience enjoyable with his humor and enthusiasm. The whole team at Harbor Sailboats is welcoming and makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The boats are well-maintained and in excellent condition, and the variety they offer ensures there's something for everyone. The location is convenient, and the overall value for the experience is excellent. I'm excited to continue sailing with this club and would recommend it to anyone looking to get into sailing or improve their skills.

A great club with a great management team that really care about your sailing experience & details. The boats are impeccable and San Diego Bay is a wonderfully scenic sail. I spent time with sailing instructor Don- the dude is a total pro and a great instructor with a genuine handle on the learning process. I cannot recommend this club enough. Do yourself a favor and spend some time on the water with this club!

Awesome experience in the basic keelboat class. Cole was a great instructor; knowledgeable, easy-going, positive, and encouraging. We had a great weekend learning to sail. I look forward to taking more advanced sailing classes with him.

I just completed the American Sailing Association's 101 Basic Keelboat sailing course this past weekend and I'm very happy with the entire experience. Our instructor, Tom, did an excellent job in teaching the group the basics of sailing, teaching how to understand and read the wind direction, how to sail upwind and downwind, dock the boat, heave-to, and a wide variety of common sense sailing knowledge. Tom is the kind of instructor everyone should have when beginning to learn to sail. Harbor Sailboats is also a very affordable group to join to rent sailboats to cruise around San Diego Bay. I didn't know what to expect prior to my arrival, but they've exceeded my expectations. They do a wonderful job and are a great group of people.

I have been wanting to take advantage of me living in San Diego. What a better way to do this than learning how to sail. After visiting Habor Sailboats and having seen all the beautiful Beneteau boats I can sail once certified and being part of the club, learning from this school made sense to me. I learned the ASA 101 basic class with Rob. The class was a lot of fun, focused on practice and time at the helm. I cannot wait to have my sailing time in so I can sign up for ASA 103 and learn how to take my friends on a bigger boat.

My husband and I have been members for a few years now and have rented boats, sailed in annual regattas and made new friends with Harbor Sailboats. The boats are meticulously taken care of, programs like SailTime help step into boat ownership, and the professionalism mixed with laid back vibe everyone makes sailing the best experience I could hope for!

I've been a member since 2020 and have rented most of their yachts by now. They do an excellent job caring for the fleet and giving instruction (in certification classes and in daily condition) to make sure your charter is the best experience. Last summer, we went on a floatilla, sailing a 42' sailboat through the Dalmatian islands of Croatia. Harbor Sailboats organized the event and arranged 14 sailboats and guided all of us through an amazing experience. It was the vacation of a lifetime! If you've never sailed a day in your life, they have a program to teach you. If you don't own a boat, they will rent you one. Having a membership with Harbor Sailboats is one of my favorite things about living in San Diego.

I just completed the 103 class and it was awesome! Our instructor was Don and he was very knowledgeable, patient and clear in his explanations. I’ve been afraid of docking the bigger boats but I’m feeling way more comfortable after successfully docking multiple times without destroying anything! I loved the class and feel good going out in 28’ and larger boats. Harbor Sailboats is fantastic with awesome instructors, awesome support staff and great boats!
