"The Handlebar Brit-born cycling fanatic Gareth Jones first opened a bike shop called Vicious Cycles, then expanded into the next-door space with the Handlebar, a funky restaurant/bar/“cycle” cafe on a grungy, graffiti-lined backstreet in the increasingly touristy Psirri neighborhood. The simple brunch, bagels, and (mostly vegan or vegetarian) snacks fare here consistently earns rave reviews, and so do the DJs’s mad mixes of house music and more. The beer is cheap, and the young, edgy crowd is consistently enthusiastic. The bar closes at midnight so this isn’t a late-night venue. But where else can you eat well, drink inexpensively, listen to great tunes and get your bike fixed, all at the same time? Keep an eye out for occasional record launches, live gigs, and street parties."

Great selection of beers, ambient, music and the service on point! Amazing crew running this 🙃

One of this off the beaten track places with chill vibes. I was only drinking beer there so I am not able to tell anything about food. Beer like beer - local one was good and within a fair price. Interior is small and "ugly" in an appealing way. It is one of this places where the climate is done by the people who gather there than by the design itself.

No idea foodwise, but great bar with nice terrace. The waiters are also incredible helpful and nice. Would come again.

You are warmly welcomed, the chef is incredible and handsome, the music is chill and awesome during the day and festive during the night. They even sell local fresh beers, and Fischer beer! A must recommended places out the cliché places of Athens, a must go for alternate tourism and a local feeling!

The bartender was really nice, making sure what we ordered was well prepared. The prices are good, I really recommend this place.

Went there during a flash torrential downpour, the bathroom flooded cause of the excessive rain (not the toilet itself) and yet an amazing time. The staff was quick to address the issue and still maintain great service. They were polite and handled a stressful situation well. Drinks had a nice heavy pour to them too.

Nice place to go with friends, friendly staff and good snacks.
