Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed in my service. I paid €95 for a facial. The room was pretty, and the lighting and ambiance was nice. The facialist was nice, but didn’t seem very intentional. I could hear her opening the products, squirting them in her hand and then throwing the products back in the bag, which just took me out of the moment.
The bed did not have comfy, warm sheets like I’m used to at a spa. It was a bed covered in tissue paper (maybe for hygiene? I’ve never seen this before though) and a bath towel covering me. The products used on me were not shown to me beforehand but they were burning my face and when I looked at them, they looked like products you would buy at Monoprix, not something you spend €95 on a facial for. The facialist also kept drying my face with paper towels instead of a dry towel, which felt awful.
I wanted to sit down and drink the tea/water they offered me afterward but an alarm began blaring, however nobody seemed concerned and I ended up leaving. I understand this wasn’t their fault, but it just ended on a sour note. If the alarm had gone off during the actual facial, I would’ve been really upset and felt bad for those that had to experience that.
I’ve gotten many facials in my life, and for much cheaper I’ve experienced better. For the price, I was expecting a lot more and although I wanted to return to try the hammam, these reviews are making me thing otherwise.
