Gumption by Coffee Alchemy

I mean, it’s fine. It’s not “drop everything and get out of your way to grab coffee from here” good. It’s been lauded to me as the number one coffee spot in the Sydney CBD but I think the word of mouth promo with those sentiments have done worse for this establishment than they have made it better. Quality control / service is poorly lacking and a return to roots may be in order.

Stopped by Gumption by Alchemy Coffee and loved it! I had an iced long black, and it was smooth and rich. The service was super friendly and made the experience even better.

I visited this café with high expectations but was really disappointed. The flat white I ordered looked like it was just carelessly poured together, lacking the quality and smoothness I was hoping for. To make things worse, customers who ordered after me received their drinks before I did, which was frustrating to watch. When I asked about the status of my order, the cashier was quite rude in their response. It even made me wonder if there was some bias involved, as it felt like I was being treated differently compared to other customers. Overall, both the coffee and the service left a lot to be desired. I hope they can improve in the future.

The flat white foam was of the worst quality, and the single espresso was crema-free. The top three coffees should be disgraceful. I'll give you 0.5 points

I recently visited Coffee Alchemy and tried their "Gumption" coffee. I must say, the coffee was excellent. It had a rich and robust flavor that left a lasting impression. The best part was that the wait wasn't too long, so I didn't have to wait too impatiently for my caffeine fix. The atmosphere of the place was also quite pleasant, creating a cozy and inviting environment to enjoy my cup of joe. Overall, it was a great coffee experience at Coffee Alchemy, and I'll definitely be back for more!

Is it real Is this really a cold drip? Really??? I often drink coffee! And most of the time, I drink a lot of ice coffee! By the way... Is this kind of coffee really a cold drip? Are you kidding me Why is the price so devilish? Is it six dollars Something like this Is the price of coffee 50 cents and $5.50 the service price? Isn’t this racist? It‘s so ridiculous!

Coffee quality has come down quite a bit from the old days… and on top of that it feels like it has become a spot for tourists so tables are always a bit messy. Hard to recommend given far better cafes in the area.

Super nice staff and service. Coffee needs improvements, was inconsistent and too 'watery' but has potential. Nice area to enjoy your coffee. Will give it another go.
