Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort Tuscany, Autograph Collection

I took a day spa pack and you’ll be impressed how much service you can(not) expect from the amount you pay. First, in the day “SPA” the only spa included is a quite cold swimming pool, pay attention that you also need a cap for accessing the swimming pool and you’ll have to pay extra for it. By the way, when calling the reception of spa to ask what we should bring with us, they gave no answer sending us to the website from which it’s unclear even what’s included in the pack. The other things from the pack are the visit of the caves and the lunch. The caves are indeed beautiful and worth seeing but I would prefer to have taken them alone. The lunch cost was 25 euros, for this money I received smoked salmon from a supermarket package (I guess) on the bed of salad leaves. Filling? - No. Tasty? - No. - Worth the money? - No. As anything in this place. Also coffee is included in lunch, but when I asked to give me a hot chocolate (which is in the menu in the coffee section) - I was refused, when I asked instead for a bottle of water - I was refused, when I asked to make at least something with milk (because I don’t like coffee unfortunately) - I received an espresso with a teaspoon of milk. After lunch you’re coming back to the cold swimming pool as there is nothing else to do. I must also mention that the nearest bathroom to the pool was at least 5 minutes walk away. There was NO way I could expect that to find a bathroom I’ll have to go all the way down back to the changing rooms. (At least that was the information from the pool worker, who is there apparently to watch that normal visitors don’t use the pool for hotel guests). In the end, don’t even hope to find any shower gels or shampoo in the showers. Yes, you’ve just payed 100 euros per person and you’re exceptionally lucky if there is hand soap in the bathroom.

Stayed here in December and it was outstanding. To have such nice accommodation, services and be able to enjoy the spa, outdoor thermal pools and hiking routes nearby was a real treat. Not to mention the Grotta itself which was the most amazing spa experience of all, truly unique. Staff are all really nice and helpful. The only downside to people like me is that the spa is a bit of a maze, and the posters indicating which hallway goes where is on the wrong side of the door, so you could walk past it and you wouldn't know!

Our first time in Italy and what a great way to begin our vacation. This hotel was beyond our expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Freddy behind the bar was truly one of a kind; he was engaging and welcoming, made the most delicious cocktails, and always remembered everyone by name. He gave us excellent recommendations on places to go and places to dine. The spa and caves were WOW!! an experience that was unforgettable. Will definitely recommend to others and will definitely come back to stay here. this place is a 10/10 in my opinion.|* Breakfast was good but evening meal was not the most impressive.

We came to enjoy the thermal pools. The setting was beautiful and the welcome was warm, with a glass of Prosecco and incredibly helpful front desk staff. ||However, despite the incredible staff across the board, this hotel was a real disappointment. Two of the thermal pools were drained during our visit and the large one was closed, significantly reducing the resort amenities. We chose to treat ourselves to a massage, but the staff seemed poorly trained. We asked for deep tissue, which the staff confirmed multiple times, but received light pressure. The staff did not ask if there were areas to focus on or avoid, which I am used to in case of injury.||The rooms were small, though the view was pretty. The staff at the restaurant were lovely and attentive, but the food was dry and bland. There are other nice restaurants in the area if you do have a car, however. Mostly I was disappointed by the thermal pools being unavailable and the spa quality, as that was the whole reason we booked this resort.

We came here with friends for a quick overnight trip from Florence to have a spa experience. It wasn’t at all what we hoped for. The staff were friendly enough, but the way the place is set up is too choppy. Too many hallways that it’s easy to get lost and a little claustrophobic. I booked a massage treatment and it wasn’t any more special than a standard one at a chain spa. Nothing relaxing about it. We had dinner here at the property since we didn’t have a car to go elsewhere. I would give it a 3/10. Why does sea bass have to have all the extra sauces on it? It was a small piece and very dry. The grotta? Do not go in if you’re claustrophobic or don’t like the extra sauna-like atmosphere. Had to walk out.

Fantastic massage and visit to Grotto followed by relaxing by the thermal water pool with a cocktail and salad. Great experience, very professional. Clean facilities, good service. I’ll be back soon! Saturday nights have a special that is well worth it to take a dip in the outdoors in a beautiful area of Tuscany.

I never review anything, but I am so disappointed I have to write it down this time , to let others avoid to spend this enormous amount of money , for nothing The spa/thermarium , is terrible . Very very dirty, the sauna is big for top 3 people , as the steam bath. All closed into a very weird very little room , filthy. I mean , literally, filthy. The exterior pool, is cold. Apparently 34 degrees, but really is not pleasant to swim in. The bottom of the pool is dirty and slippery from sediment of God knows what . The grotta is nice , but again 50€ per person to get in , it’s a steal. The bar restaurant on premises is ridiculous, also dirty. Some terrible overpriced empty panini and salad . 228€ food and drink excluded . It’s a real real disappointment. Never ever in my life seen something like this. Calidario terme near by is heaven in comparison, this is been a really really bad experience.

Exquisite Spa with Thermal Cave Diving! 3 large thermally heated pools anchor the ancient estate. Staff is very helpful, from Concierge to wait staff. Excellent LI Iced Teas by request. Room was upgraded for Titanium and overlooked the expansive estate. I did the Thermal Cave Dive. This was a very advanced Dive though they require only PADI Open. I have about 25 lifetime dives which is a medium amount for a tourist. 2 guides with 3 divers, 5 ppls Single file, 75 minutes under…..crawling through tight spaces, vertical chutes, rock walls. Tank and air lines regularly bang and get stuck. This is recommended for very experienced divers, who have no claustrophobia and are mentally sound and calm under pressure. I passed the test and was mentally a bit stirred for about a day. Guides were very good but this dive would have unique challenges if something goes wrong due to enclosed nature.
