Granville House

This is the B&B of all B&Bs. No wonder they won a Michelin award. My husband and I stayed while visiting family during a frosty Berkshire weekend and couldn't have been more impressed with Granville House. Terri and Terry make the whole experience friendly, private and so luxurious. As a longtime luxury travel writer, I have stayed at many boutique hotels, and this is more of a luxury boutique hotel at B&B pricing. A considerable value! The decor, coziness, sophistication, Americana souvenirs and fireplaces all added to the immense charm. Terri was so friendly and helpful and gave us great suggestions for dining and antiquing. The bed was comfort PLUS, with beautiful soft linen sheets that made getting out of bed only possible by the promise of their sumptuous breakfasts and olive oil muffins. The tomatoes and rosemary salt on the bagel were divine! Also, they have a record player room with vinyl that re inspired our love and now we are running out to get one for the house. All in all, a gorgeous place that I would have gladly stayed a week in if time allowed. Thank you for your hospitality. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Granville house. The proprietors, Terry and Terri, were very welcoming and seemed interested in ensuring we had a comfortable stay. The inn is very charming and filled with lots of interesting Americana and thoughtful decor. Our room was well appointed and comfortable to stay in, and the common areas were nice to relax in with lots of games to play. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Highly recommend anyone staying here for their vacation in the Berkshires.

Such a warm welcome into a warm inviting space! Terry and Terri have a charming, homey inn and make you feel like family. Service across the board is friendly and efficient. And breakfast is amazing. I can’t write enough about the delicious muffins. ||It was also wonderful to sit by the fireplace and thumb through the many interesting books they have collected. I sent pictures of the decor to friends and they fell in love. Can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at the Granville House for a long weekend excursion to the Berkshires & absolutely fell in love. Our room was comfortable, cozy & immaculate - we especially enjoyed borrowing records to play in the evenings while we took turns taking luxurious baths! Terri & Terry are the perfect hosts - pleasant & cheerful & full of great tips & suggestions. Breakfast was a luxurious way to start our mornings & we lamented at the end that we had been so busy having our adventures we actually wished we had been able to spend more time just relaxing at Granville! I see many returns to this wonderful slice of paradise in our future.

My husband and I had a great weekend at Granville House. Terri and Terry were so welcoming and are clearly committed to creating a special experience. This is evident in their attention to detail in everything from the cozy common areas full of quirky books, music, games, and interesting wall art to the truly delicious breakfast (highlights were the freshly squeezed orange juice and olive oil muffins but everything was so yummy!). Granville House manages to achieve the hominess and character that are the reasons you want to stay at a B & B while keeping a sense of privacy that can sometimes get lost. It is also close to some good restaurants for dinner, local shops, and a short drive to Bash Bish Falls and Sunset Rock, two low key but satisfying hikes that we easily did in one day. We hope to be back soon to explore other local sites!

I had a wonderful stay here this past weekend. It was sparkling clean, the decor was very interesting with tons of fascinating Americana on the walls, the bed was super comfy, the amenities were ample, the breakfast was delicious, the service was friendly, and coolest of all, they have a nice sized vinyl collection and record players in the rooms. I would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this place. The proprietors were welcoming and fun to talk to. Room was very comfortable and nice. We bought the pillows when we got home! And the included breakfast was a real treat. Delicious restaurant quality food with homey hospitality. 5 stars all around!

We’ve stayed at Granville House twice now and can’t wait to return. The inn itself is stunning, with something to delight the eye everywhere you look. None of the fussiness of some b and b’s, but so much beauty: here you find a gorgeous mix of Danish modern mixed with antiques, lovely textiles everywhere, and interesting memorabilia throughout — most notably Terri and Terry’s amazing collection of autographs. ||The innkeepers’ gentle welcome and their attention to comfort and detail make Granville House a restorative and truly memorable place to stay.
