One tourist attraction site you should visit in Gothenburg. A calm and serene environment where one can sit and enjoy the sea view. I like how the roof of the building is designed to look like a ship’s hull.

The most democratic opera house I have been to so far: affordable & accessible with even musicals in the program. Its dance company has an impressive repertoire and is worth visiting for yearly world premiere. The visibility is great overall with comfortable seats made of velvet and leather (?). Drinks and food are served in the reception hall with the view over the port. It's only a 10-minute walk from the Central Station.

Been here twice. The building is quite functional, so don't expect it to be decorative and beautiful like the opera in Vienna or Budapest. The acoustics are quite decent. Make sure you don't buy the cheapest seats (corner seats on 4th floor balcony) . We did that and half the stage was not visible nor could we read the subtitles.

Amazing place just by the river. As we got our tickets the day before the performance we ended up at the top furthest away from the stage but it was still an amazing experience.

Okay food at the Gothenburg waterfront and Good service in a spacious building. Had a 3 course dinner. Starter was excellent. Main and dessert not perfect. Wine matching can be improved. A bit noisy when full house.
