Good as Gold

It’s hard to top this place in London. Exquisite food, ambience is perfection, cocktails are fire. I live in London Bridge and this is the only place I’ll make a special journey for because it’s THAT good. Please come and open up on Bermondsey street! We need you! The chef is super talented… they guys know what they’re doing. Wow. Wow. Wow.

One of the best brunches in London, food was super delicious and code was good too. We had avocados on toast and jalapeño and sweetcorn fritters. Customer service was excellent and the place atmosphere was cool, can’t wait to go and try something new there.

Local neighbourhood breakfast/lunch spot. Amtosphere is very friendly and the place feels like you are in your kitchen table having a breakfast before you leave from the house. Simple flavours yet very good quality of the sourdough bread and the rest of the materials. We tried 3 dishes. Relatively small in size but also cheap price. On my opinion the Greek yogurt needs a bit of honey, was a bit dry but still enjoyable.

I visited Good as Gold on Friday again for dinner, and once again it was sensational. We enjoyed such a variety of dishes, many of which were very inventive. Most importantly of all everything was absolutely delicious, and at a very reasonable price. We also enjoyed rather a few spicy margaritas which were excellently made! The service as ever was fantastic and the atmosphere and ambience is homely and inviting. Good as Gold is a REAL London treasure.

One of my favorite place in Brockley, I’ve been here many times and everything was great. I would like to recommend mackerel bun and carrot cake and banana cake. Daily soup was also nice but I couldn’t see it recently in menu. And I’d like to try dinner next time!

If you live in Brockley but haven't been to Good as Gold, you're definitely missing out. This is our favorite spot. All the dishes are delicious. I especially love the focaccia on the counter—it's light, refreshing, and guilt-free. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always serving with a smile. It's a lovely area, and it always feels like coming home. And of course, the coffee is exceptional, offering the best flavors."

First dinner experience at Good as Gold. Lovely service and atmosphere as always, but found the food a bit underwhelming given the cost, and how great this place is for breakfast and coffee. A lot of the dishes were served cold or lukewarm which I was surprised about, and since the restaurant was mostly empty when we dined I assume this was an intentional feature rather than a mistake. It was fairly flavourful but nothing special - just not worth the expense really. Wouldn’t rush back.
