Golden View Firenze

Our best meal in Italy! The five course seafood set menu was spectacular! Service was personal and professional! This dining experience brought us great joy and happiness! With a window seat above the Arno River brought many smiles. Highly recommended!

Had dinner here tonight on the recommendation of good food and views. The restaurant spans across numerous rooms. The room we were in was half full on a Saturday evening. The service was ok, not engaging leaving me with a cold impression. The meals were amazing. We shared an entree of rabbit which was really tasty. Balanced flavours and a nice tang with included liver. For mains we opted for the steak with mashed potatoes and the duck tagliatelle. The steak was tender and perfectly rare, the potatoes creamy and rich with flavours of butter. The tagliatelle was cooked perfectly and the duck was minced which I’d never had before. The pomegranates gave a touch of sour and crunch which perfectly complemented the dish. The feature of the restaurant is of course the view of the Ponte Vecchio which was lovely (but seems odd to me looking at the back of shops but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) See the menu pics for prices which felt high after travelling Italy for the past few weeks. Only downside was a feeling the staff were doing the motions and were not overly interested in engaging.

Beautiful spot for a special meal. Lovely setting and views of the Arno River. More of a fine dining restaurant and the prices reflect that but it’s not outrageous. The scallops and duck were excellent as are the mushrooms. Great service

Amazing family meal at Golden View restaurant. This is a gem of Florence. Amazing views, great atmosphere, fantastic service and great food. This is seafood lovers paradise with large selection of fresh seafood. Meal: Kids - Pizza with Fresh Mozzarella- 6/5 - amazing. Pasta Pomodoro- 6/5 - basic yet elegant. The kids loved their meal. Adults: Meat and Cheese plate - 5/5 - great selection and combo presented. Pumpkin leaves tempura- 4.5/5 - very interesting first having this. The home made Italian bread was amazing with fresh salted butter. The star was fresh oil olive- just as some black pepper and salt. This was meal by itself. 6/5. Meals: Rabbit - 4/5 - nice, great presentation. Acquired taste. Bologense Pasta - 5/5 - fresh pasta was cooked to prefection. Linguine with clams - 4/5 - all good, fresh clams. Just bit salty for my taste. Dish could have used some acid and black pepper. Dessert: blueberry tart 6/5 amazing. Great family meal. The large bed outside bathroom is inviting. Open kitchen is great, especially the pastry kitchen next to bar.

We had planned our wedding in Florence and needed a beautiful venue for a rehearsal dinner. This seemed to be THE spot to have it. We had never tried this restaurant before scheduling for our rehearsal dinner, but trusted our gut and went ahead with it. Upon arriving on our scheduled date, we were amazed to come in to a beautifully seated room facing the ponte vecchio and were served the most amazing meal I’ve had in all of Florence. All of our guests had shared their appreciation for the tastefulness and class of the restaurant and they especially appreciated the views. Incredible is all I can say!!!!

Our waiter, Marges, made our experience a 6-star evening! He didn’t miss when it came to recommendations and he was very conversational when necessary. He made our time in Florence feel complete with our phenomenal date here at Golden View! The food itself was incredible and really captured the moments and culture of Florence. Highly recommend Golden View. Don’t miss it if you can help it!

Golden Food, Golden Service, Silver View… We visited this spot for lunch since we wanted to explore and experience a nice view of Ponte Vecchio along with great food. I have to say that the staff is very welcoming, attentive, respectful and very helpful. The place itself is beautiful with great illumination in every table. Unfortunately we didn’t have a table next to a window but still could see Ponte Vecchio. Not great as I expected. The food is carefully prepared and presented. Cooked perfectly along with great ingredients. Pasta cooked al dente magically mixed with the sauce. The meat, it was my mistake to order it medium well. Other than that, everything OK. Prices are not cheap but considering the restaurant, it seems fair. We spent $50 per person. I might come back to try different dishes. Probably fish since it looked great at other tables.

My wife and I went here for dinner. Waiters were attentive and kind. We had a view of Firenze river but reflections on the windows made it a bit tough to look outside. Food was quite delicious. Salted catch of the day ( sea bass ) was quite memorable.
