I had an extremely disappointing and even dangerous experience at this hotel during my stay in December 2024. While taking a shower, I slipped due to the combination of the hotel’s marble flooring and the soap, which created a very slick surface. There were no warnings about the risk, nor was a bath mat provided in a visible location—it was hidden away in the closet, where no guest would naturally look before stepping into the shower.
As a result, I fell, hitting my head hard. At the time, I felt dizzy, nauseous, and generally unwell—but I didn’t immediately realize the extent of my injury I thought it was jet leg related . It wasn’t until a week later that I was diagnosed with a concussion. The situation got even worse when I boarded a flight home without knowing about my concussion. Mid-flight, I experienced severe vertigo, which required a paramedic’s intervention upon landing. After consulting with a doctor, I traced everything back to the fall in the hotel’s bathroom.
During checkout, I was asked about my experience, and I shared what had happened with the desk manager. While they apologized, they did not take any notes or ask for additional details. I believe this was a missed opportunity to address the situation promptly and take proper action to prevent future incidents.
Later, when I reached out to the hotel again after my medical diagnosis, their response was completely dismissive. They told me that because I hadn’t reported it immediately, they weren’t willing to help. This reaction was shocking and unprofessional. A responsible establishment should take guest safety seriously, not just brush off legitimate concerns.
I’m writing this review because I want others to be aware. If a hotel is going to have such a hazardous bathroom setup, they should at the very least provide visible warnings or ensure that safety measures (like bath mats) are easily accessible. More importantly, they should handle guest concerns with care and responsibility—not indifference.
I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here to think twice, especially if you expect a hotel to prioritize guest safety and well-being.
