Tried to use their tour services to see the lake. Called in advance to make sure we made it on time and the person on the phone told us to be there at 6 pm. When we arrived, a person who seemed to be a supervisor asked us why we were there. A bit thrown off by such greeting, we said we wanted to do the tour. She pointed to the sky and said, “well, it’s not dark yet. I don’t know who told you to be here at 6. Come back in an hour”. We explained we were there upon the instruction of whoever picks up the phone for her business. She shrugged and started talking to someone else (not a costumer - the place was empty and now we understand why). A few friends who have gone to this place told us NOT to eat there as it takes forever and it’s not worth what they charge. I would not recommend this place to anybody who wants to be treated with a minimum of respect and courtesy.

I can only give good reviews to the housekeeping staff. They are the highlight of that hotel - friendly and professional. I stayed in room 209, and every day my room was cleaned, the bed was professionally tailored, and the floor was spotless when I returned. Thank you; it was all I needed to alleviate the stress of the hard days. I'm sorry I didn't get to reward them, but I want you all to know that you did more for me than just cleaning the room.

Blue Lagoon was amazing! Captain Dave was professional, put safety 1st and informed us about the details of the lagoon. The bioluminescence was amazing! This excursion is definitely something you should experience. Be sure to buy pics from the staff and tip them. They work hard to make sure you enjoy yourself. Excursion aside, the dancers were cute but the food at Glistening Waters was disappointing. Although my waiter was sweet and made sure our food was hot when we finished the excursion, it had no flavor. I was highly upset after spending $40! The hushpuppies were stale and the chicken for my jerk chix was extremely dry. I would not order food from here again.

I went there for an authentic Jamaican breakfast of ackee and saltfish and was so very disappointed. The ackee had no saltfish. None whatsoever We asked for flour dumplings which they assured us we would be getting but instead we received cornmeal dumplings. We got one skinny finger of banana. Nothing was tasty and on top of it, when we asked for the breakfast price, they gave us one price at the door and then after we sat down, ate the meal and went to pay for it, they gave us another much more expensive price in USD for tourists. We’re not even American. Furthermore, we sat for almost 20 minutes waiting for utensils to eat the meal which by then, got cold. After finally honouring the first price that was given, we were forced to pay an additional service charge which was ridiculous because the service wasn’t good. Do not go there. There are much better and cheaper places to eat breakfast in Trelawney.

I have a lot more to say. For now I will begin with the good experiences. 1. Staff were super helpful beginning with Ms. Naomi. Ms. Tishana at check in was super nice. She took my numerous complaints with care, although she personally could not fix my complaint. 2. Mr. Cavar in the restaurant treated us with grace especially on Saturday July 13 2024, when he served us way beyond continental breakfast. 3. The electrician or perhaps handyman came quickly to remedy the power outage to the fridge. 4. Captain Bobby with his crew Papa Ratzi and another crew member took us on the tour of the bio fluorescent lagoon where my wife and I witnessed the glow in the dark when the water was disturbed. I was impressed with the upkeep of the building, inside and out. There was no signs of wear and tear as I have noticed in other hotels of this level. The restaurant was relaxing quite, presentable and organized. Food was very good. Low sodium is very important to my wife and I and none of the four meals we during the two days were high. I definitely would recommend this location.

Prepared for the slow pace having been to Jamaica several times, but the food here was disappointing. Arranged for a ride from our home to the restaurant it never arrived at the specified time, we called and then they sent the ride. Arrived over an hour late. Had the jerk chicken and it was bland and luke warm. As I noted the service was what it was but after the long wait the food, well sub par is the best way to state it. Do not recommend for dinner, never got the boat ride since we were so late and it started to rain so no way to comment on that.

The boat ride was $25 per person. A 7 minute boat ride in the dark. The water glows as it moves. The water was 4 feet deep and warm. It had a stagnant odor. Swimming in it was cool, splashing around turning the water blue. It gave a slight tingly/stinging sensation. One of the guests actually got stung by something. No worries, the caption had a potion to rub on it.
