"The Oetker Collection has been converting period homes for its new range of private, all-inclusive Masterpiece Estates. Among them is Glen Affric, with its Victorian lodge and stables on the shores of Loch Affric, surrounded by 10,000 acres of wilderness."

Claimed to be the most beautiful Glen in Scotland and it does not disappoint. We did the short 1km loop along the river and then went across the road and did the 500m jaunt up to the viewpoint. Had a nice weather day (no rain), so the views were lovely. The arboreal forest is beautiful with Heather and Caledonian pinewood trees. The single track road access takes patience and time to navigate. Recommend this gem ❤️

A simply stunning location in the highlands. If you go in the autumn prepare for all weather. We had rain one minute, bright sun the next! You'll get wet crossing streams so wear wellies or waterproof walking boots. From the Loch Affric circuit car park, walk anti-clockwise around the Loch to do the full loop. The first section is along a private road, however, walkers can use it as it then leads onto the unpaved walking path. Expect to walk for a good 5 to 6 hours to complete the circuit, depending on how many pictures you stop to take of the first class scenery.

The autumn colours this week have been stunningly beautiful in the bright sunshine, and a dusting of snow on the highest mountain ridges has made for unforgettable panoramas. A visit is highly recommended.

Unusual time to visit this place but absolutely loved the frosty look of the nature… astonishing beauty. Would definitely visit again in Summertime for hiking the trail..

This is a wonderful glen to visit with a mainly single track tarmac road through deciduous woodland. Plenty of streamside and lochside views plus a dam half way up the glen feeding a hydro station. Quiet and peaceful place popular with walkers.

Totally worth it, off the beaten path destination in the heart of Northern Scotland. Yes, it's a long drive along the single track road. And yes the Scots are fast drivers. But with good car insurance and a bit of left-hand experience you should venture into this hinterland. Fantastic opportunity to see some of Scotland's wilderness. Sad to see the pine trees dying on a large scale, but it's a picture that we all have to become used to now. Not busy end of September, easy to find parking. Leaves are just starting to change colours.

Beautiful area to visit, so lucky places like this are so close to us in Inverness! Toilets at the car park were open and clean. There's a few picnic beaches by the water too, which Is great for a picnic with the family.
