My husband and I came here for the first time this past week. It was a Monday night dinner, just past sunset. We used Valet, was seated quickly and our waiter Arturo was amazing! I ordered 2 Raspberry Lemon drops (super yummy) We shared 12 oysters ( tasty but small in size) had the corn chowder top with crab cake (out of this world delicious) and both settled on the swordfish topped with arugula . This dish was a good portion, great flavor and super moist. We ended with the Blue Berry cheesecake (perfect balance, not too sweet). The view was magical and hearing the waves was a plus, they do use heaters since more than half the seating is outdoor with no coverage from the elements . Would definitely return. BTW my husband had a smooth red wine from Napa Valley. Our bill was slightly under 3 bills and well worth it. Go, move slow, enjoy the weather, food ,view and company of others. A Malibu Must!

You come here for the view of the beach which is the main attraction especially if you get a good seat. I decided to take my wife here for her birthday so I made reservations ahead of time off OpenTable and told them we were celebrating a birthday so I wanted a table with good view of the water. We arrived early and use their valet parking because it's easier than finding street parking. The valet cost is already added to your bill so you don't have to worry about cash except for tip. We arrived early so we took advantage on walking down to the beach first. We checked in like 20 minutes before our reservation time but they were still able to seat us with a great table with good view of the water. Our waiter was Marvin and we thought he was great with us beside not telling me that the soda is not free refill. That was my only complaint with him but I didn't want to dispute so I just paid it but give less in the tip. My wife got the Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass for her entree and a Georgia Peach martini for her drink. I got their Herb Crusted Salmon and ask for french fries for my sides. My wife loved her peach martini and of course her Sea Bass. I thought the Salmon was a bit dry and didn't have much favor but Marvin came around asking if I wanted crushed black pepper so I asked for that on the Salmon and fries. It helped a little but not that much to me. We finish off the night with a ice cream dessert where Marvin sang Happy Birthday to my wife. I would recommend coming here and making reservations if you want to experience a good view and some good food but just know that the soda does not have free refills.

Went here for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was delicious! Great view of the ocean! Attentive wait staff. The menu was prix fixe meals, with three choices in each of three courses. I completely enjoyed the time my son and I spent here! (BTW, there's a 2-hour table time limit.)

Geoffrey’s never disappoints! Been going here since 2001 and this place has not changed much. Last time here was about 10 years ago. Still same great service, food, and atmosphere! Keep in mind if you choose to park on your own, good luck! Highly recommend either car service or valet. The valet crew is so awesome and as always takes care of everyone with a smile! They were great with our driver. Super polite and accommodating when he dropped us off and picked us up. We love to sit at the bar. If you do this make sure you sit on the far side so you can see the ocean. Our bartender was great! Lots of personality and really enjoyed our time there. The food as always was excellent! We went on a Sunday. Sat and Sunday they have a great brunch menu.

Great place with a nice view of the ocean. They have valet parking and access to the ocean by walking the stairs down. Service is great and good was good too. We enjoyed our time there with our family and kids got happy by playing on the beach after our meal.

Geoffrey’s exceeded my expectations, It was my first time there and had such a delightful evening. I flew from Houston Tx to Malibu to spend my birthday weekend there and wanted to try Geoffrey’s because of the beautiful views. Marvin was my server and he was amazing, he was attentive, friendly and provided great service overall. The manager was welcoming and kind. I arrived an hour early to my reservation just to see the sunset. I will definitely go back next time I’m in town.

The food, the view, the service... Everything is top-notch. We didn't have reservations but had no trouble being seated on a late Saturday afternooon. We had ribeye, a couple of drinks, and the apple crisp dessert. Next time I am in the Malibu area, I will for sure be retruning to Geoffrey's!

Lovely view, ambiance, and service. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it was good but not amazing. I think the location is the biggest take away. Definitely pricey but not surprising. The waiters were really cool. Parking situation can def get crazy during peak hours . Seems very family oriented which is nice.

Stunning views. There's also access to the beach from the restaurant. Went in October, weather was perfect. Food and cocktails were good, but not great. We even had a guy with an apron on (someone working in the kitchen) bring us out our food lol. Dessert was the best thing we ate. Great date spot or somewhere nice to sip wine with the girls..

I'm pretty tight when it comes to five-star reviews and this one rounds up from a 4.5 - not at all perfect, but highly recommend. Arrived quite early for a 2pm reservation and were seated faster than we could get a coffee in the front bar. The restaurant is open and airy with multiple adjoined patios. Still packed with lunch patrons we were given a very desirable table against the glass railing nearest the seaward view. Service was prompt, friendly, professional, and personable. The Americano and cappuccino as well as the regular coffee were all good. The rosemary bread rolls with whipped butter also good. Appetizers were the crab cake and coconut shrimp. Both very well designed/balanced. Entirely delicious. Tried the corn chowder out of curiosity and it also was very good. Scallops and paella for the entrees. Again very well prepared. Beautiful quality seafood and sauces. Well portioned. We also tried two of their mocktail offerings and both were excellent. A pricey lunch at $250 out the door - but that won't be the reason I'll remember it. Wonderful experience. ...The $12 valet charge was conveniently added to the bill. I like that.

Went here for a bachelorette and it's got some of the most beautiful view of the ocean, the best service, and the best food I've had in a little while. We girls had a whole bunch of food to share and honestly all of them were my favorite! If we are ever in Malibu again, would definitely come by.

With a long history of celebrity visitors and even affairs between Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe, the location of present day Geoffrey's established itself as a landmark of Malibu. While people rave about spectacular views, Geoffrey's is more than that. It's a place that embodies the town of Malibu in ways that few places embody their location: it's luxurious and classic at the same time. It has a presence of a place that is timeless in many ways. A heavy portion of the menu is dominated by fresh seafood, from scallops to salmon and sea bass. The preparation of the signature sea bass is done to absolute perfection: delicate, minimal seasoning and focus on pure essence of the fish. The wine list is priced very reasonable, with many bottles landing at 2-2.5x upcharge relative to retail. People who work here are attentive and professional in every aspect. It is certainly not cheap and this is not a restaurant to experience breakthroughs in gastronomy or Michelin star service, yet Geoffrey's has it's incredibly solid place in Malibu for ability to deliver an old school sexy vibe alongside classic, tried and delicious dishes with a view that rivals that of celebrity houses along the coastline.

The service is impeccable which is what you would hope for and pay for. From walking in to the waiters everyone was lovely. The views are stunning! But try and go when they open which is what we did and we were lucky enough to get a table by the ocean. The baked Brie I loved! The sauce with the green pea sauce was delicious and I hate peas. The steak was decent a little on the rare side (we got medium rare) but I prefer it like that. The seafood paella was okay. Not sure why I had high hopes for it as it's not a Spanish restaurant but it was FULL of peas and as I said I'm not a pea lover. Traditional paella (when we went to Spain) doesn't have peas in it so was a little disappointed but I still ate it and had a decent amount of seafood. Overall really nice experience but probably wouldn't come for brunch again. The menu is quite small and there isn't a lot of options.

Restaurant with a view! Our group ate here for our annual dental office get together. We ordered a few appetizers to start with and they were all very good! Our server Jackie was very sweet and took very good care of us. Our mains included the Paella, Kobe burger, Chilean Sea Bass, Salmon, Skirt steak and Lobster salad. For dessert we had the bread pudding and creme brulee...AND their hot chocolate! We all shared and had no complaints. Parking was valet which was included in the bill. Just a heads up...if the group had 3 cars...it would be charged $15 x3! You can park off PCH but goodluck with that. There are stairs to get down to the beach but try not to stay too long because it gets crowded in the parking lot. Will come back for sure for special occasions. Overall we had an awesome experience.

Party of 10, we were all looking forward to this visit! (At least I was - and if anything, I was looking forward to that view!) And they couldn't have put us at a better spot. We were seated almost immediately at arrival (we made it on time for our reservations despite the little hiccup about parking) at one of their outdoor corners overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. That alone made the visit so worth it! But we're here for the grub, too, so after we got done getting distracted by this fantastic scenery, we finally got it down to a few things. BAKED BRIE IN PUFF PASTRY: I think there were at least 4 orders of this on our table! All of them came out warm. Pastry was flaky, the Brie was warm and the pear chutney was a good palate cleanser. Recommending. SEASONAL OYSTERS: Hubbers and I split this, and they were freshly shucked. Only snag - there were small bit shells leftover and a couple of them weren't fully shucked. I'm guessing the kitchen may have been a bit busy. GRILLED PACIFIC SWORDFISH: My choice of main. Plating is beautiful. Fish was grilled and topped on a bed of bacon bits and sliced potato wedges (not-so hashed like the menu description stated) and topped with really fresh arugula. Generous with the size of the fish, it started off soft and flaky, but the more I got in the middle, the more it got a bit tough and dry. It was also under seasoned. (Hubbers agreed.) The jus reduction helped a bit, but not enough. [And to be honest - my first instinct was to go with the sea bass, but since there were other peeps on my table getting it and willing to share bites, I went with my second choice. (I should really follow my gut feeling!) But the few bites of sea bass I got was ON POINT! Fish was flaky, seasoning was perfect... who am I kidding: that dish was amazing!] FILET MIGNON: Hubbers main and ordered it medium rare. Boy, that plate looked good. And delicious! Now if it were prepped medium rare (vs medium as it was served) it might have been closer to perfection. (I advised Hubbers to tell them - just so they know - but he didn't wanna dampen the good mood we were all in.) Flavor was on point, though. FOOD: 3.5. SERVICE: 5. Our server and her backup were so sweet and welcoming and accommodating. No snags there. VALUE: 2. If you're on a budget, either save up or this place might not be for you. It is a bit pricey, especially for the slightly disappointing quality on our main dishes. PARKING: Valet for $15. They get really busy, I suggest allocate a few minutes for it. OVERALL: 3.5. Better than average experience overall. Food was good, but really, it's the view and (more importantly) the company that did it. Second visit? Possibly, if only for the Brie pastry and the sea bass.

We came here for an engagement brunch. The views were fantastic and the front staff were all extremely friendly! I would say the downfall was the food and waitress we had. Unfortunately the waitress was very pushy on ordering more food and ordering drinks so we didn't enjoy that aspect of our brunch. The food was also just ok. Neither one of us really enjoyed our meal and felt it was easily something we could've made at home so the price just wasn't worth it for us. Definitely paying for the views.

We selected Geoffrey's this year for our pre-Christmas outing. I must say, it was terrible. Not only was the food not good, our waiter was inattentive. He appeared to be on one track that only visited certain tables. Can't help but think it's the color of our skin. We attempted to get his attention for 20 minutes. Was not going to yell across the restaurant so I got up out of my seat and went found him to request more lemonade for our grandchildren. How sad is this for the price we paid. The price is irrelevant, should not have to go find your server for anything at any restaurant. The best part of the visit was the view, which is absolutely gorgeous. Not sure what the hype is here because the entire experience was mediocre at best. We expected much better from this restaurant. I spoke to the manager but her apology did not come off as sincere but more like she was patronizing me. Should have taken heed to the one review from 13 days ago. You live and you learn. I'm sure next year's pre-Christmas outing will be better. Should not judge a book by its cover. No no no no!

Vibes were great. Servers weren't that great. Food was pretty good but not spectacular.

Made reservations for 1:30 pm on a Friday. We parked on the PCH (be careful, lots of fast cars!). Make sure you use the stairs as you head down to the entrance. The valet lot was pretty tight, with numerous fancy cars. We were greeted immediately and sat on the balcony outside. The tables closest to the view were taken but we were very close and the ambiance was still so nice. It was a bit hot in August but there was a breeze every now and again. There was also plenty of shade. My friend decided to order the sunset smoke to drink. For food my friend got the chicken picatta and I got the lump crab cakes and the hanger steak medium rare. I initially wanted to order the jumbo coconut shrimp or mussels as an appetizer but our server, Will, changed my mind when he said his favorite were the crab cakes. The drink was ready quickly and tasted yummy. I've had better smoky mezcal drinks but it wasn't bad. The lump crab cakes came out fast too. While good, I didn't think the sauce they came with added much flavor. The hanger steak was great. It was cooked perfectly and was seasoned well. The chimichurri didn't have a lot of flavor and the scrambled eggs weren't seasoned at all. The avocado and salsa provided some freshness but not much flavor either. I ended up dipping my eggs in my friend's chicken picatta sauce which was savory and creamy. He agreed that the chicken wasn't special but the sauce was good. Interestingly, they were served with blanched or partially steamed carrots. I personally think it would have been better if they were roasted. The food overall was fine because of the weak flavors, however it was good quality. I would come back to enjoy the location. I would try other items on the menu instead of getting the same thing and hope that the flavors are stronger in the other appetizers and entrees

What a fabulous lunch we had, there is not one complaint, the food was fabulous, the table the best, and our server Kenny was there for all our needs. Imagine the weather being perfect, and both of us had their Lobster Quiche, which was great, and a plentiful salad that came with it. If I was to change one thing, it would have been, I didn't care of the Tomato Bisque they put on the plate under the Quiche. The Creame Burlee dessert was probably the best ever had. The reason why is, it looks like the normal creame brulee, but under the custard is chocolate mousse, which make the dessert exceptional and so delicious. Parking is a little bit of a challenge, the cost is $15 plus a tip for their very pack valet lot. If you could find parking along PCH you would be much better off. The charge that $15 to your bill in the restaurant, so it's paid for with your credit card with the meal. Views of the ocean, are amazing.

If you want to experience a delicious Malibu seafood dinner with an amazing and tremendous view of the ocean, come to Geoffrey's. Be prepared to spend some money. But it's worth it. The ocean air, the view, the service, the delicious Dover scallops, the moon rising over the water and lighting up the waves with its moonlight... What more can I say? This is an amazing restaurant. Staff is friendly and efficient. Lunch is every bit as fantastic as a Saturday night dinner. Make reservations two weeks in advance. Put on something dressy-beachy and go live life to its biggest and best.

5/5 view on that patio, service was ok, food was mid. We visited around 5:30 on a Sunday evening, they seated us early (reservation was 6:00) at a very nice spot with good view. It took the waiter ~10 mins to come drop off the menus and another 15 mins to come get our order. We ordered drinks - which were completely forgotten and we never got them. Spicy Oysters: 2/5. Tiny in size, mostly flour, the oysters were salty and the sauce was kinda tasteless. Mussels: 4/5, good but nothing "wow". Fresh. Seafood Paella: 3/5. Tasted fine, but the shrimps weren't cleaned. The intestines were still in there filled with poop (see picture attached), kinda unacceptable for food priced like this. Parking is $15 for valet. You don't have other choice unless you're super lucky and found a spot on the street. Not worth it. Food was 2 stars at best. +1 star for the view and view only. Server had nice attitude but he repeated the drinks we ordered yet he forgot them entirely.

We had childhood friends visit from the east coast and took them to Geoffrey's, one of our favorite special occasion and out of town visitor spots. We were seated in a gorgeous part of the outdoor patio, with the pacific ocean right in front of us. There are stairs leading directly down to the beach where you can end your delicious meal with a stroll on the beach. The service was impeccable. The waiter was attentive and informative, without being over bearing. We were there for lunch, before we could ask, and as soon as the sun was shining over our table we were asked if we would like the umbrella up....such great service. The food was all delicious. We had the watermelon salad, salmon salad, crab benedict and crab cakes, along with a few glasses of sauvignon blanc, which the waiter brought out a few samples to help us make our choice. Took a walk afterward on the beach and overall had a specular afternoon at Geoffreys.

Came to Geoffrey's for brunch during my first ever trip to Malibu and it's hands down one of the most memorable brunches I've ever had mainly due to the dreamiest view. The simple but memorable order for 2: Mimosas w/ Moet on Ice - 5/5 is it even a brunch w/o mimosas? $28 + $17 Scotch Benedict - 5/5 $28 which is kindy pricy esp for the small portions but I live in SF so standard for me Caesar Salad - 5/5 $16 Customer Service - 5/5 Do I daydream of returning to Malibu just to eat here and enjoy the view? Why yes, yes I absolutely do :)

Gorgeous views, good service, and good food. My sweet sister made a reservation at Geoffrey's to celebrate my birthday. It was completely packed as it was a beautiful sunny day. It Seems like everyone had the same idea, lol. The valet was incredibly nice, kindly escorted us to the main entrance, and helped navigate us through the crowds of people. He was an absolute dear. & the hostess sat us at a balcony table with stellar views. Now, to the food... I ordered the not so old fashioned, oysters to start, and had the scallops as my main course. Everything came out beautifully, and left a lasting impression. Anyhow, we will definitely be back. It was a magnificent dining experience, and i am so happy she chose Geoffrey's to celebrate the occasion. Everything, from start to finish, was truly spectacular.

Geoffrey's is an iconic place for brunch and dinner in Malibu. The tables overlooking the ocean with transport you into thinking you're at your own slice of paradise, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is only valet parking ($15), but it can be added to your check prior to leaving. Reservations are available through OpenTable and linked through their website. During my recent visit, I enjoyed the açai for brunch. All the berries were perfectly ripe with the ideal ratio of açai to berries and granola. I also indulged in an espresso martini to get the best of both espresso and booze in a brunch cocktail. I really enjoyed my time here. Besides the soothing ocean as the backdrop to a tasty meal, the servers were extremely attentive and friendly.

One of favorite restaurants so far!! First off, breath taking views overlooking the water!! Our waiter was so nice, he had originally seated us closer inside but then moved us outside next to the glass railing for a better view. It was gorgeous!! Food was amazing, the fried oysters hands down was a fave!! So delicious!! My hubby had the filet mignon and I had the salmon. Both were delicious!! Filet was so tender and flavorful, my salmon was crusted to perfection on top and flavorful as well. Both sides were amazing we completely finished everything. Definitely will plan to come back. Customer service was great!! The valet who helped us initially was super sweet but the valet who helped us at the end get our car seemed really irritated, understandably it was busy so we didn't give it much thought. Def plan to come back!

Took my parents here for dinner during summer. If it wasn't for the view I wouldn't have come here. Portions are small, but taste good. Server kept asking at least 5-6 times if we wanted another round of drinks. My parents from Europe asked me if it's normal for servers in America to push liqour on you while dining. It sure felt like it. Not worth the price for the amount to get.

Our 2nd time at Geoffrey's in two years and it doesn't disappoint! Being from the East Coast we cannot even compare anything like the views of Malibu Food, drinks and service are incredible!

You can not ask for a more beautiful setting, a panoramic ocean view and comfortable chairs. The tables and umbrellas are strategically placed to give you the very best Malibu experience. It is a pleasure just to sit there. The service was impeccable; friendly but not intrusive. We were there for an early dinner on a warm day; the Pacific Sangria was refreshing and perfect. I could drink them all day. We started with the servers recommendation of Spicy Fried Oysters; not too spicy and fantastic, delicious, Couldn't be better. My husband had a ceasar salad , no surprises there. Fresh deep green Romain. His main was the swordfish; he said it was the best swordfish he ever had. He is a fish guy so that is quite a statement. It was served with beautifully roasted fingerling potatoes. I was not so impressed with my choices. I love a good tomato so I ordered an heirloom tomato and burrata salad. It is served in a large bowl and either the tomatoes were tasteless or they were overpowered by the burrata and dressing. Had it been on a plate I could have separated out the heirlooms, but I did not get the tomato I craved. I ordered Glazed tofu with five mushrooms because I have never seen it on a menu. The glaze was thick and overly sweet. I could not really distinguish 5 mushrooms as they were all sautéed mixed together under the tofu and the sauce, the earthy Unami of mushrooms was lost . I couldn't eat half of it. Too rich. At this price point I expect fine ingredients that shine. Both of my dishes came up short in this area. Geoffrey's is pricey, it is a prime location in Malibu, one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet. It's a high end neighborhood. It says on all of the menus that a 4% charge is added to your check to cover a higher minimum wage and other government regulation expenses. Why not build this into the menu prices is a mystery. There is also a 12 dollar charge for Valet parking. A 200 dollar check becomes a 280 dollar check after tax, surcharge, valet, and tip, also there is a sign outside prompting you to tip the Valet. You don't eat here to save money, this is a special experience. The Disneyland of dining, if you will, at about the same price. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If and when we visit again, it may just be for cocktails and appetizers. If you are visiting, this will be a true Malibu experience to write home about.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at this beach side venue in Malibu. The view is amazing! Overall service is great! For Thanksgiving, there was a pre-set menu with choices to choose from.

My wife and I really enjoyed this restaurant, the view is off the charts ! I can honestly say that they have the best customer service of all the restaurants I've been to. From the valet to the hosts, and our server, Mary was unbelievably fun and anticipated everything you could possibly want before you even know you want it. The food at brunch was excellent. I ordered the crab cake Benedict and my gal ordered the lobster cob salad. Both were perfection. Patti wanted a drink but couldn't make up her mind which one to order, Mary suggested the pineapple ginger mojito. I tasted it, and for one split second I thought I was in the Virgin Islands. You have to try one, simply delicious. Just a really great afternoon. Definitely coming back.

A classic long time establishment in northern end of Malibu is a long drive for us but we came here to celebrate a birthday after our day at Getty Villa. It's right off PCH, valet parking only. Ocean side view but not right on the beach, there are stairs to walk down which is nice during daytime but at night there are no lights on the pathway so no after dinner walk. Seating is alfresco with ocean views, there are cozy booths and table with chairs seating, also there are heating lamps. They have a cocktail and wine menu. It's pricey but you pay for location to celebrate a special occasion. I can imagine many engagement proposals are popped here as there are many couples. Our party of four ordered: Drinks: watermelon and cucumber is strong not too sweet. Appetizers: crab cakes and coconut shrimp Entrees: surf and turf - lobster and steak dish is hearty with risotto and mashed potatoes - Paella with seafood is a large dish. - Seared sea scallops - filet mignon. Dessert: Apple pie with ice cream is large to share. Birthday celebrant got a free scoop of ice cream. This place gets crowded so reservations are recommended. Not sure if they take walk ins. Dress code is not enforced saw guys wearing non collared shirts with slacks.

To be driving along PCH in Malibu is divine. Couple that, with dining at Geoffrey's Malibu and you will levitate to a gastronomic highpoint. This restaurant has been on my "to do" list for a long time and I finally made it here for lunch. The ambiance is stunning. This includes outdoor seating (where we were), with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. I had a small appetite and so we decided to just work with the appetizer menu. House complimentary rosemary bread, round in shape, with butter, arrived first. It was superb. Then the Baked Brie in Puff Pastry with Pear Chutney, Beurre Blanc and Roasted Pine Nuts. The whole dish was marvellous. Nice flaky crust with soft Brie on the inside. Finally, the Sautéed Lump Crab Cakes served over sweet corn butter sauce, Grilled Corn Relish and topped with Pasilla Chile. The offering came beautifully presented, the cakes were the real thing and packed with lump crab meat, no hanky panky stuff. Eaten together with the accompaniments on the plate enhanced textures and flavors. The appetizer took me to another place. They do add a 4% surcharge to the bill. Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience. Mesmerizing views, a soft ocean breeze, food crafted with culinary expertise and high class service.

Got a table here on VDay by the luck of just looking around la and finding nothing else avail. I then announced our destination to my co-pilot, and the look on her face was just awesome! Wait... GEOFFREY'S!?! " It turns out, her friends in NYC had been fantasizing about brunching there somehow. It made sense -- now that I've been? We arrived at Geoffrey's for an excellent meal, beautiful views of the ocean and a mixed but distinctly upscale-atmosphere. Naturally, all of that carries quite the hefty cost. I realized it when the valet parked my decade-old Scion in a lot surrounded by Lamborghinis and one-of-a-kind super luxury cars. On Valentine's, they were doing a special set menu but it was versatile across high end and also tasteful in order to cater for all tastes Sure it is not on the cheaper side but with service and food of that quality you know every penny was totally worth your spent. It was a night filled with intricate details--from the plating to each bite full of flavor, which made it truly memorable. If you are a foodie, looking for an opulent top-of-the-line Malibu dining experience then Geoffrey's should probably be your first stop.

The food was pretty good. The bread and butter was a delicious way to start off the meal. We got the beet salad, sea bass, and bread pudding. The least favorite item was the sea bass. The mango and ginger marmalade was a bit much on the top of the delicate dish and could have been done without. The bread pudding was amazing though. We have a weakness for bread pudding and this dessert is well worth it here. The views were spectacular and we had the chance to sit with an uninterrupted view of the water during sunset. Can't beat that! Service could have been better - we asked the waiter 3+ times to turn on the heater because it was getting super cold and no one came to turn it on. We just ended up figuring out how to turn it on ourselves and the table next to us (who was a large group) thanked us for finally turning it on. Funny enough when we actually turned on the heater and employee immediately came over to see what was going on and to check on the heater. Our waiter also thought he gave us the wrong drinks and asked us to taste it to see if it was the right wines. I understand it's busy, but for a restaurant that is charging this much for food and an automatic 4% in addition to each bill, I would've expected better service. Also, parking is $15 valet unless you can find street parking.

The lobster cobb salad was amazing. We also had the salmon on top of an artichoke sauce that was phenomenal as well. We didn't even have a room for dessert. Next time I'll start with dessert and end with the salad but everything looked great on the menu and the view was amazing. We saw a pod of dolphins that really made The lunch a special event. The service is A+ from the valet to the staff inside.

Came here for the view and stayed for the cocktails. :-) It was a birthday celebration for us, and our host made sure it was special. He was attentive and kind. The food was good, the place was clean, parking is Valet. The restaurant is obviously on the higher price range, given its location. It's not an everyday or every weekend kind of dining, but more like a place you go to celebrate special moments. Some of the photos here on Yelp also suggest that the restaurant is right next to the beach with no visual obstructions. This is somewhat inaccurate. Where we were seated, there were at least 2 houses with rooftops that were obstructing the ocean view. Ultimately, it should not bother diners as you enjoy the food and service. But if you are expecting a full unobstructed view of the ocean, thought you should know this. Cheers!

Great restaurant: Have many happy memories dining at Geoffrey's, including the evening we celebrated our daughter Caroline's and Son-in-law Brian's graduation from Claremont McKenna College. Elated that Geoffrey's survived the recent fires.

Wonder place, however staff kept forgetting our drinks and didn't check up as frequently as I would have liked. Also our table wasn't ready on time for our reservation. I will say the food and view is amazing!!!!

The service staff and the ambience was amazing. The filet l ordered was perfect but l didn't want the scrambled eggs so they substituted with potatoes. I thought the fried potatoes were okay and l wouldn't suggest them. I think l should had the mashed. Chimichurri sauce was too salty. The Caesar Salad was very good and the homemade dressing was very good. We will come back again.

This place couldn't be in a more better location, its really nice, the vibes are really soothing in a way, i really loved the vibes in there, the food was great, the apple tartare amazing, service was always attentive with us. Only bad thing it had been raining a bit and we couldn't see the sunset, but we will definitely come back!

Keeva had amazing hospitality and our busser was great with clearing out plates. Food wise, I ordered the crab Benedict but my whole table fawned over the lobster quiche my friend ordered. I was here for my birthday bachelorette and the restaurant made me feel special with a scoop of ice cream, a candle, and a happy birthday song. 10/10 would come back here - maybe for dinner next time. And request Keeva, he's an amazing waiter!!

The fish was undercooked and the waiter forgot our cappuccino. The billing was mixed up. The ambience was nice and beautiful.

I reserved a table here for Valentine's Day on a whim after I couldn't find a single other place with availability in all of LA. When my partner found out the name, she couldn't believe it. "You got a reservation at... GEOFFREYS!?!" Apparently her friends in NYC were saying it was their dream to eat there someday. No surprise having experienced it myself now. It's well known for its incredible food, breathtaking ocean views and elegant ambiance. As with most of the aforementioned, there's a high price to pay. That became clear as the valet parked my old scion in a crowded lot filled with Lamborghinis and rare cars. The menu for the day was a preselected set just for Valentine's but still provided a diverse selection of fresh, high-quality dishes, expertly crafted to satisfy various palates. Although the prices reflect the upscale nature of the restaurant, the impeccable service and culinary excellence made it a worthwhile splurge for such a special occasion. The attention to detail in both presentation and flavors elevated the overall dining experience, making Geoffrey's a standout choice for those seeking the best of the best in a refined taste of Malibu.

Overhyped. Food was ok. Ambiance ok. Nice views. A 4% surcharge is included on the bill which is annoying. I just deducted this from the tip I left which is a shame for the server. A 4% surcharge (Tax included) will be added to all guest checks to help cover increasing costs and minimum wage increases for our dedicated team members.

Our first time at Geoffrey's and it did not disappoint! Our server, Will, was extremely catering and helpful. From the get go, he suggested items that we should order and was very attentive. The ambiance is beautiful and the view is spectacular. Food was delicious, very reminiscent of resort style food but better and tastier. Geoffrey's felt like a hidden getaway without having to take the full day off to get that resort feel. I'd highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great view, service, and food.

Ask for HANZ he took our photos wow he truly made our night so good and stress free! when it came to the menu & drinks he was so detailed with explaining everything & also not making it seem like a hassle or big deal was nice cause in the restaurant industry latley i've had waiters who were were rude, unkind and impatient but HANZ was the complete OPPOSITE. Please reward serves like thiS cause his KIND SWEET & welcoming demeanor is what couples want when on a night out. p.s every server here was kind and one even led me to the restroom! ( i've been to many nice places and never leave reviews cause I believe if you have nothing nice to say don't say it HOWEVER I really think this place deserves its flowers AND COULDNT NOT SPEAK up considering the quality and service !)

Geoffrey's is located on PCH in Malibu with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. We made reservations online and valet was $15. If you're early to your reservation you can head down the coastal access path to Escondido Beach for a secluded ocean-viewing experience. SAUTÉED LUMP CRAB CAKES ($24) - One thing I noticed was that they like to pair their crab cakes with corn and it works because they go well together here. I liked the green pasilla chile relish on top for an added zing. 4/5 CORN SHOWDER ($16) - This funnily enough came with a small crab cake, but what worked well for the crab cakes dishe didn't work as well here. It wasn't anything life-changing and I'd skip this. 3/5 SAUTÉED DAY BOAT SEA SCALLOPS ($46) - This was an interesting dish because we absolutely loved the scallops but we really didn't like the risotto. It was very bland but the scallops really saved this dish. 4/5 GEOFFREY'S PAELLA ($42) - I liked that there was a lot of seafood in the dish. The rice was slightly undercooked and didn't make for a good chewing experience. The rice was also a little bland. 3/5 PAN SEARED CHILEAN SEA BASS ($49) - I really liked this dish and the ginger butter sauce was good too. This came with potatoes and bok choy which were nice additions. The mango marmalade was refreshing . 4.5/5 PRIME NEW YORK STEAK ($68) - the steak was really tender and it didn't even need the dipping sauces but they did add more flavor. Out of everything we ordered this was my favorite dish. 5/5 CATALINA SOUR ($20) - this was like your typical sour with cinnamon on top. It was good and standard. 4/5 LYCHEE MARTINI ($20) - it was spirit-forward and what you'd expect from a martini but with a lychee addition. 3.5/5 SPICY MANGO MARTINI ($20) - when they said it was spicy they weren't kidding. It was really spicy and too spicy for me. I finished it but it took a while. 3/5 Once the sun set, the heaters were turned on and the ambiance turned into a dimly-lit intimate candlelit experience. The service was great and everyone was taking pictures. We liked some of the dishes more than others but we thought the views were worth coming for.

Great food, great service and beautiful beach front view. A little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.

My boyfriend took me here for our 1 year anniversary. It felt like the perfect spot - for our reservation at 8 pm, the restaurant was quite empty, which made our date feel all the more intimate and peaceful. We ordered baked brie in puff pastry for our appetizer and thought it was delicious. The sweet pear chutney paired very well with the brie, and we loved the crispiness of the pastry. They also provided free bread and butter to start, and it was actually quite good - we asked for a couple refills, and ended up dipping some of the bread in the brie For our mains, I ordered the filet mignon, and my boyfriend ordered the rib eye steak. I thought my filet mignon was cooked very well - in fact, it's easily the best steak I've ever had (although I can't say that's hard to beat lol). It truly felt like a dish and not just a few different components thrown together, although I personally wouldn't say the same about the ribeye steak. However, my boyfriend also enjoyed his dish. My only critique is that I feel that everything was very heavily salted, as I found myself chugging water throughout my meal. Regardless, the flavors were great. And finally, for dessert, we ordered the warm marbled brioche bread pudding. They stuck a candle in the ice cream to commemorate our 1-year anniversary, which was a sweet touch. The bread pudding itself was delicious - very indulgent, soft, and the coolness of the ice cream mixed with the hot bread pudding elevated the experience. I would highly recommend this dessert :) Service was great - our server was attentive and ran us through the menu, although to be honest I had trouble understanding what he was saying at times. While the food was great, honestly the ambiance of the restaurant took our experience to another level. The walk on the way to the inside of the restaurant felt magical - almost unreal - especially since it was so empty. Props to my boyfriend for picking such an incredible spot to commemorate our anniversary, and props to Geoffrey's for giving us such a great experience. I would highly recommend this spot for a special occasion!!

Four of us for dinner. Great ocean view and love the round tables so easy to have conversations. The service was excellent and the food was good. A nice place for a special occasion. They charge a 4% fee on the bill and there is only valet parking for $15.00 which is added to the bill. Even with the mandatory valet, there is a sign saying gratuity is appreciated.

5 star! Food EXCELLENT... everything was cooked to perfection. Full of flavor and well plated. Service EXCELLENT... waiters were friendly, courteous and attentive to our needs. AMBIANCE ROMANTIC / SEXY! Go for all of the above but stay for the sunset! Perfect for a romantic date or to celebrate something or someone special. It's a definite must!

My partner and I enjoyed the lobster and steak with a view to die for. It was a wonderful stop when we visited Malibu for the first time.

My experience was far from pleasant. After eating at Geoffrey's, I suffered from severe food poisoning. The symptoms were quite distressing and lasted for a few days. Given the seriousness of the situation, I will be contacting my county/city health department to report the illness. I hope this review serves as a warning to others and that the restaurant takes the necessary steps to ensure better food safety standards in the future. I will never return here again!! I'm so disgusted

Beautiful scenery great service. Perfect place to go on a Sunday afternoon. They even have a menu for your pet.
