Nestled in Logan Square, this cool, shabby-chic coffee shop serves up house-roasted brews, tasty brunch bites, and a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for lingering.
"Gaslight changes up its selection of house-roasted coffees regularly, and hipsters and families alike find common ground in the small cafe next to the roastery, where they can sip a variety of coffee drinks, nibble on pastries, and watch the Logan Square scene through the large picture windows." - Eater Staff, Ashok Selvam
"If quality food is as much on your mind as coffee and all the TPS reports you need to finish, then head over to Gaslight in Logan Square. This place has a full brunch menu (with omelets, sandwiches, and pastries) Thursday-Sunday, so you can take a break and have a real meal. The large space is comfortable enough that you can easily spend a whole day here, too." - adrian kane, john ringor, veda kilaru
"Ukrainian Village is lucky enough to be sandwiched in between two stellar coffee roasters: Dark Matter to the West and Asado to the East. When we need our cortado fix though, we find ourselves heading to Asado. They have three locations around the city, though it’s this one that roasts for their downtown location as well. They were the first shop in the city to exclusively pour over coffees and they’re no slouch in the espresso department, either. It’s always easy to find seating in the bright, minimal space and if you stop in at the right time, you may get treated to the smell of freshly roasting beans." - Potluck Creative
