Garcia's Seafood Grille & Fish Market is a laid-back riverside gem serving up fresh catches since '66, perfect for enjoying hearty seafood with waterfront views.
"Guests can’t go wrong at this casual waterfront restaurant on the Miami River, which has become a Miami icon in its own right. Grab a seat on the patio and order up some claws while watching the owner’s fishing boats pull in with the latest seafood catches of the day." - Olee Fowler
"Since 1966, this spot has been the best place to eat on the Miami River—where you can watch yachts and old-school fishing boats drift by over the course of lunch or dinner. It’s still a good choice because it’s delicious, simple, and wonderfully unpretentious. Start with some fried shellfish, listen closely to the daily specials, and if it’s stone crab season, you know what to do. They do have a lot of indoor seating too, so if you want a guaranteed outdoor table, call ahead to ask about availability, or be prepared to wait." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"Since 1966, this spot has been the best place to eat on the Miami River—where you can watch yachts, boats that are almost certainly smuggling something illegal, and the occasional lost dolphin all drift by in the course of a lunch. It’s still a good choice because it’s good, simple, and one of the few waterfront spots in the area where you won’t be surrounded by $200 bottles of rosé and people who arrived via luxury yacht. Start with some fried shellfish, listen closely to the daily specials, and if it’s stone crab season, you know what to do." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino
"A massive seafood counter packed with produce greets guests on arrival at this family-owned restaurant overlooking the Miami River. The restaurant also doubles as a fish market and wholesaler. Be sure to check the chalkboard for specials. Garcia’s fishing boats haul in daily catch to enjoy in a casual, open space with a laid-back vibe." - Eater Staff
"Eating seafood and water views go hand-in-hand — Garcia's is a prime example. Grab a seat and soak up views of the Miami River while watching fishing boats drop off their latest catches to devour." - Olee Fowler
