A wonderful and charming place worth visiting and enjoying the lake

Stone’s throw from the ferry terminal where the cruises are. You can walk straight down from HB to this area. Where the statue is, there’s an amazing view of the lake and the architecture framing the body of water. When I went it had rained so the fog obstructed most of the view. Kinda gave it a supernatural-ish vibe though. Wish I snapped more photos. Super convenient area for cruises to locations further down the lake. Cruises depart every 30 minutes and tickets can be purchased on board! - broke college kid

Burkiplatz provides you a front row seat to view the beauty of Lake Zurich. The statue of the young boy Ganymed asking the Eagle to take him to the sky/ heaven provides a mystic feeling to the setting. At Burkliterrasse you feel the serenity of Lake Zurich, the calmness of the Alps far and beyond, and the elegance of the structures that border the lake. The Swans, Coots and the Ducks on the lake gives you a sense of reality and keeps you hooked to the mesmerizing natural beauty. Ideal settings for winding down and enjoying the nature.

What a beautiful place to take ship or even just walk around the lake. I recommend it fully, it's the best place to visit in Zurich and the old Town it's also really near by.

Great place to see the sunset with colorful sky like this. I love Zurich although this is the most expensive city in Europe. Everyone is kindly, quite and friendly.

Mind blowing place in zurich it feel like you are in a dream land, nice lake, city and mountain look like you are in a scenery that i used to draw in my childhood. There is a ferry in this lake in every 30 min must go for it it would be a wonderful experience to see small huts near lake with mountains you really like it and cruise have delicious food onboard.

This Swiss version of the Ganymed story (where Zeus kidnapped Ganymed to Mount Olympus) depict Ganymede pleading to Zeus (in his eagle form) to take him to Mount Olympus. The artist Hermann Hubacher changed it to represent "man's longing to ascend Mount Olympus".
