Good experience, the person who served me are super nice and she spoke well English. Don't know much about tea, she tried to explained. I'm not a person who love tea, but it's quite an experience. The sweets are special tasting that I never taste such before nor in other place in kyoto. So I think this is a good place if you want to experience some special flavour and don't mind to pay some higher fees for it for better experience. I enjoyed the short 30 minutes tea session. (You can sit there as long as you want I guess) 👍

This was the most relaxing experience I had on my whole vacation in Japan. The ambiente, the light and the way of presenting and explaining were all soft and soothing. You take your shoes off, enter and the old tea house takes you into another time. We were 6 people (3x2 travelers) in the room. If you like drinking tea, don't miss out on this one.

Absolutely loved it. It was so beautiful I literally cried at some point. Tea masters are extremely kind, attentive, their every move is such a masterpiece. It was a pleasure to be there, amazing, calm atmosphere.

Beautiful tea ceremony experience with organic and rare types of sencha as well gyokuro and keramai types of tea. As a bonus there is a gallery upstairs where you can see contemporary rare pieces of art. Totally memorable!

Little tea salon and gallery that was hard to find but gosh - the experience was incredible. Had the two teas menu and it completely changed my mind on tea. You have a menu from which you can choose your tea, then the lady prepares the tea in front of you so you get to see exactly how it's supposed to be done. The accompanying sweets were delicate and not too sweet. The atmosphere is very reverential, for a one of a kind moment. Just enjoy these 1.5 hours in company of excellent tea and a bit of quiet, you won't regret it.

I love tea, but don't really know much about taste notes and stuff, so I was so surprised to be able to taste the differences in different types of tea offered here. They have a very detailed English menu and taste notes chart that made it so easy for anyone to appreciate different types of tea. The seasonal wagashi was to-die-for. Best chestnut yokan I've ever had. The serenity and calming experience (no photos allowed during the tea tasting session) was my favourite from my trip in Kyoto.

I was captured by the high quality and the wonderful taste of the tea, also by the attentiveness while it was served. Every cup of sencha I´m drinking at home brings back some sweet memories.
