If you’re looking for a really good coffee place that serves a good breakfast, this is your place! Sometimes it’s difficult to get both at the same location, but this place knows their stuff! Every kind of latte, espresso, and really tasty breakfast food. They even had my hard-to-find ginger turmeric latte. It was one of the best I’ve ever had! Parking is on the street. We had the biscuits and gravy. Very tasty and not spicy. Kick it up a notch with their hot sauce. I had to buy some to take home!

Loved this place! I was visiting from out of town, and my server briefly introduced me to the menu. I ordered the turtle latte to drink and was not disappointed. Also ordered the black bean burger, and it was delicious. Highly recommend.

Perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth. They had plenty of seasonal items. I loved the selection and ultimately went with the Lemon Strawberry Pound Cake. It was the right balance between sweet & savory. I loved the recommendation. It paired perfectly with the Havana latte which was on the savory or bitter side. We also tried the Danish that was recommended by our server Riley who knew the best selections. We loved the peace and quiet in the establishment from crazy busy Broadway. I am appreciated the quiet space and enjoyed the serene playlist. It was the perfect ambiance for a Saturday night.

This spot really delivers on all fronts. The location is convenient, and the menu has a solid selection with high-quality food that’s consistently good. Terrible, overpriced coffee. We spent $11 total for a Golden Monkey Latte and a Pumpkin Spice Latte. The Pumpkin Spice Latte tasted absolutely awful and nothing like Pumpkin Spice. I asked them about this and they had me take my lid off so they can add a lot more syrup. After they added more, it tasted better but still not that great. The Golden Monkey Latte was just okay. The service was also not good. I would never come here again.

What a great spot! I was in town for a few days and this was on my list of morning coffee spots to try. Walked in and just felt so comfortable. The space is big, but inviting, the folks behind the counter very nice, and my mocha was amazing. It was just sweet enough and the extra hot was indeed extra hot, which made me very happy on a cold morning. I would definitely come back here if I were ever in town again. It is convenient to many hotels and offices downtown.

Only reason I have 4 and not 5 stars was due to our very poor service :( our waitress was not super kind/welcoming, gave off the impression that she was ready for us to leave (I do understand this is a busy location - but still...bringing us the check as we are taking bites and actively are not close to done...), and forgot 2 of our items which we had to have her remove from the check. ASIDE from service, the ambiance is super cute, and the food and drinks are delicious! I'd return and keep my eye out so as not to have the same waitress (fingers crossed, lol).

Was leaving town after a fun Nashville weekend and needed a coffee pick me up. This place was convenient so we stopped by for coffees to go. Once I walked in I regretted that we weren't having breakfast here! Everything that people were eating looked delicious. But alas, coffees only. Had a latte and a turtle coffee (chocolate and caramel). Quite yummy! Next time, we are eating!

Best breakfast place I had when visit Nashville. To begin with the host was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations on coffee. As soon as she seated me the server came around to take my order. The coffee was delicious and the best I had tried yet. The breakfast I ordered was cooked to perfection. Bacon was thick and crispy, sourdough bread was delicious and the grits were great. I went on a Saturday and it was busy so I suggest going early if you don't want to wait

Super cute spot! I stopped by in the am and it packed! I walked out cause it was too crowded. If you are ordering a drink only, it's the same lines as the food which is a con if you are trying to get in and out. THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS!!! AND THEY WERE SO GOOD!! I also had a latte which was extremely good BUT. A but expensive-$7 is a lot for this drive but it was a fair size. Very busy local spot but I see why.. it's cute, in a great location and good! Street packing. It's in downtown so hit or miss-I walked.

Stopped by on a Monday morning per a friends recommendation. The staff was super friendly. I ordered the Havana latte as it has been their most popular and the barista was able to make it half sweet and less hot so I could drink it right away. The chocolate croissant pastry also had a brilliant shine, but unfortunately, I was not hungry yet and didn't try.

It was so hot. I had to go in somewhere. and ended, here Frosty Monkey. Some girl was suggesting, I should get food first then sit down..etc. at the cashier I ordered ice tea and blueberry muffin. I got both while I was at the counter. So fast. The girl was suggesting I should sit upstairs or something. I walked into the back, sat one of many empty tables. Ice tea was so good! Bluberries in muffin also. I didn't want to go out into the hot. So I went to the cashier ordered Farm Breakfast which caught my eyes with Kentucky farm fresh eggs, etc. Then I asked any other than black tea if they have. Got answer No. With my second black tea I went back to my table. And wait. There seemed many staffs around counter. When I approached them they were asking me again again same things like whether I was ordering food, online order, etc. I told a few times I ordered my food at the counter earlier . One lady took me to the cashier to make sure I ordered, I think. I even pointed the guy who took my order. She showed me many order slips in front of kitchen and told me wait until my name was called. I was ready to get up ask again. That time a young guy sans Monkey tees on, came to me with a big brown paper bag . What's inside? It's cool inside of this cute trendy looking café. Bathroom was clean. Food was pretty good. Free Wifi with email address giving. Ende Gut Alles Gut!

A really cute breakfast cafe/coffee shop with lots of breakfast/lunch options and sit-down and take-out options. When you walk in, they'll ask if you want coffee to-go or want to sit-down. As it's next door to Starbucks, Frothy Monkey can make an easy way to support local without having to go too far out of your way. I came craving an Omelet, but I wasn't super impressed with the one here. The omelet I had the next two breakfasts at other establishments really hit the craving. PROS: -One of the few places in this part of town displaying a gigantic Pride banner in its window. -I love how wholesome this place is. It *feels* like it's good for you and the Earth. They list out all of their local farms where they source their ingredients, and they have a note about being fair trade with fair wages. Everyone working there seemed like they were friends with one another, and there was lots of laughter. -Gigantic portions. When the omelet description said "made with 2 eggs", I figured I had better get an additional side. The omelet plus the included side of bread was MORE than enough to keep me full for 7 hours, though, and I definitely didn't need the additional side. -Service was really fast - and when I wanted to order a coffee to-go to end out my meal here, they easily managed that as the final part of my order. CONS: -They don't add much salt/pepper to their food, BUT they offer it for your table when your food is delivered. You can add your own seasoning to taste. Oh, and they offer hot sauce too - if you're the type of person who really wants to burn your mouth first thing in the morning. -My omelet came with my choice of a bread. I chose a biscuit. It was served cold - which was a really wild flavor compared to usual biscuits. -Omelet itself was just okay too. It was a bit light on the veggies and internal bits, tasting mostly like the egg itself. Depends on how you like your omelet.

I was really disappointed in my avocado toast. It was not toasted at all. The egg was cooked over medium and looked perfect but was cold, which I still can't figure out. The massive salad with it was dressed with a yummy vinaigrette but a lot of the greens looked questionable so I didn't eat much of it. So sad. It was my last meal in Nashville and such a let down. Service was good, we didn't wait long which makes the cold avocado"toast" still weird...

Love this farm to table restaurant in downtown Nashville! The rustic atmosphere, the coffee and food is delicious! I had the turtle latte which was delicious, the perfect sweetness. Also enjoyed the farm breakfast, the sausage was the only disappointment as it was dry and hard, the eggs were cooked good, the Gouda grits are flavorful, the strawberry preserves were out of this world, as well as the homemade Hoff's Wake Up Call hot sauce! I will be ordering this for home, they have it to purchase in the restaurant but flying and could not do. The wait time was long to receive food, but it was worth it! Would have given them 4 1/2 stars if I could. If the wait time was it so long, it would've been a 5. If you are in Nashville, I highly recommend trying them out!!

Had dinner at Frothy Monkey on my last night in Nashville, and it was wonderful! I was so chickened out from eating so much Nashville hot chicken that I was craving fish/non-meat for my last meal, and Frothy Monkey had a very extensive dinner menu. I was debating between the Shrimp & Grits or Salmon & Quinoa, and ended up ordering the latter. The salmon is pan-seared on a bed of quinoa, raw red onions, and sun-dried tomatoes. I didn't care for the raw red onions, but the salmon was cooked perfectly and all of the ingredients tasted very fresh. I ended up ordering an iced Chai latte with skim milk to-go at the end of my meal, which was pretty tasty.

We stopped in before a TPAC show since it was right around the corner! We were seated right away and our food came out very fast. I had the salmon sandwich and actually got it on sourdough instead of a bun. It was pretty good! I don't think I'd order it again, but it was superior to Subway and a good choice for something quick. It's pretty nice inside; and they have a counter for to-go orders, as well. Pretty cool they have coffee & pastries, but also full sit-down brunch and dinner menus, too.

Long wait times for a cup of coffee. I went early in the morning and ordered an iced monkey mocha with Oatmilk. I placed my order and waited 21 minutes to finally get my cup of coffee. Once I received it I was disappointed in the flavor, I didn't get any taste of banana and all of the chocolate sunk to the bottom. While I was drinking the coffee I started noticing chunks of separation between the Oatmilk and the coffee, which left a weird texture in my mouth. For the amount of time I waited for the cup of coffee I was extremely disappointed in what I received.

I will say that service can be a smidge spotty but everyone was so kind and we were in no rush, so it all worked out. It was my first time in Nashville, therefore I did some research for the places to have brunch and dinner. This place popped up on many Nashville blogs that were saying the best coffee shop. Well, I got the expectation very high. In the end, it was the best coffee shop. We went there for a brunch on Sun. We seated immediately. The ambiance was nice, people were friendly. Our server was nice too. They had lots of choices to pick from the menu. They even offer dinner items which start at 4pm (as I remember). I got Monkey Mocha as my coffee. It has banana syrup which makes it different than regular mocha. The banana taste wasn't strong -almost not taste it- until you reached the bottom. So, as for a regular mocha, it was good, but as for Monkey Mocha, it was so-so. For my food I got Capri. The taste was good and small portion. If you are like me eat small portions without having leftovers, then Capri is for you. But if you eat a lot in one sitting, then you may still stay hungry lol My partner got California and Turtle Latte. California looked very simple tbh. Eggs on the toasted breads came with some sides (avocado and sprouts). Turtle Latte had pecan syrup. Which you could really taste it from the beginning. Overall, I don't think it is 'the best'. Maybe because it's located in downtown they went this way; other locations could be better or even 'the best' as some articles claimed. However, I am not thinking of trying again. If I live there I may consider going to all the different locations, but if you have a limited time to spend in the town like me, then I would pass it.

Arrived early into Nashville and needed coffee. Little did we know that we would find a cafe that services locally farmed foods. Also everything was reasonably priced. Especially being fresh ingredients. The Rosemary Latte sounded interesting and thought I would try it. It was pretty great and light. The coffee was great but the food was even better. I had to Biscuit and Chorizo Gravy. My friend had something else. But everything was fresh including the strawberry jam they used for my friends breakfast. This was a cute cafe and aesthetically pleasing. You can even purchase some of the art prints. The staff was friendly and kind. Highly recommend if you are in Nashville.

Went to this place based on all of the wonderful reviews and was disappointed across the board. Was told there was a five to ten minute wait for a table despite the vast majority of the tables being empty. Ordered drinks while waiting for table and found them adequate but nothing to write home about. The menu had a sparse amount of choices and many of them being basic. The fruit I ordered came to me limp and dehydrated. It wasn't fresh. The pastry I ordered also was not fresh and I barely ate it. My friend ordered a dish with kale. They forgot to put it on and rather than remaking the dish as they should she was served oily kale on the side. There was an apology but it would have been nice of the item was removed from the bill. I was interested in purchasing coffee beans and was told that they may or may not be able to be ground after purchase. Nothing about this experience was polished.

This business has gotten away from their original heart. Changes since Covid are disappointing. You must have a table service instead of ordering and seating self. Identity has changed over time. Had an early meeting downtown Nashville, was going to grab a cappuccino and a chocolate croissant, but the menu looked so good I stayed and ordered the Cali Toast. Wow. Terrific flavor, generous greens and bacon, fresh mozzarella, and excellent sourdough. And the Service was wonderful. Nice touch. And the location/building is worth the walk in heart of historic downtown. Highly recommend.

Just finished a delicious breakfast at frothy monkey! First of all, you know you have to eat there just cause of the name, right? Add to that that they have THE BEST coffee in Nashville, hands-down, and it's a win. I'm on an all bread diet, so I ate croissant and biscuit from my breakfast. I jumped into my husband's delicious grits, however, which are made with... Get ready for it... Gouda cheese. Who knew that could be so good-uh. Hubby had the eggs and sausage breakfast and it was fabulous. If you're like me and need to remember home with a big glass of sweet tea, then order away, they can customize the sweetness because you tell them how much simple syrup to add. It was fab! Fun vibe, good service, excellent prices (although fair warning that may be because I'm from California. I can't think of the last time my husband and I both ate and drank for under $30!) and I'll be back for sure.

We popped into Frothy Monkey for breakfast and found ourselves in for a treat. It was a beautiful day to sit on the patio but we're beat out by more eager early risers lol! We took our spots inside which was spacious and a little funky. Everything sounded amazing in their menu but we both went with the huevos rolando which was the best choice. You don't want to - can't - share this! I ordered a honey latte with rosemary - and thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband ordered black coffee and the waitress offered him a to go black coffee when we left which I thought was a nice gesture!

Appreciated the warm welcome during a busy time when I was one person who was about to take a four person tabletop because I was dining in. The golden milk (with oatmilk) started the meal right. I decided to go with the classic breakfast and it was as advertised ... delicious. Bright, open space with limiter seating, so I am sure it can get very busy, but worth checking out. And the price was right!

Stopped here for brunch while in Nashville. The service was great! The food was just average though, maybe I had too high of hopes considering all the great yelp reviews. I got the omelette and it was good but not anything special. The inside is average as well. We sat downstairs and didn't go upstairs. You can go to the counter and get to go coffee. They were out of ice coffee so I got a latte and that was just average as well.

This place is definitely geared toward the younger crowd. My latte was great, however my boyfriend's hot coffee was pretty gross. He's a black coffee drinker and this coffee was far from strong, considering I could drink it. Our waiter was not attentive and we had a hard time finding him to close out. Not only that, but he was extremely quiet to the point where it was awkward for us to try to communicate what we wanted. Definitely not our vibe and we won't be back.

The service was 10/10! They were very accommodating. I had the Andouille & Pimento Cheese Biscuit and the biscuit, egg, and andoullie were all really good. I think the pimento cheese was a bit too much and they laid it on thick. but that's just my preference. The cortado was also pretty good.

Had a nice breakfast here on our last day in town. Service was meh and seemed to be some tension between the wait staff and kitchen that was apparent, but overall the food salad tasty.

Frothy monkey was HIGHLY recommended to us coming from out of town. They did not disappoint! The coffee was delicious, our fresh pastry was amazing, and the breakfast was so great as well. The hostess was not the MOST friendly, but working in a tourist town I can very much empathize. We went on a wednesday morning, and only had to wait about 15 minutes. I have heard the wait is quite long on weekends though! The place was cute, lots of great light and most of the staff was very friendly. Quicker service than I would imagine for such a popular place. There are also multiple locations!

I didn't feel welcomed the moment I walked in. Upon placing our order we were told it wasn't available. But the guy next to us had just ordered the same plate. And the new customers that had arrived received what we were told "wasn't available". Don't recommend this place for my colored folks! First time I've ever walked out of a place and didn't tip.

While in Nashville our goal was to visit various coffee places around! This one had high reviews so we knew it was a must! Cute little place! We walked right in and sat right now and we were greeted right away. If you don't want to eat they have a coffee bar you can order from to go! I ordered the Monkey Mocha with almond milk...absolutely delicious!!! The lady next to us had a delicious looking breakfast so we ordered the same...California! It was perfect, light and not too heavy and hit the spot!! Highly recommend this place!
