Fromagerie des Grondines

It was a very aesthetic place. There were benches and place is located in a wooden house. 🏠 We went there to eat. However, they said food is available occasionally. There was a wide assortment of cheeses. Cow’s cheese to sheep and even goat cheese. The staff was kind enough to help us find the right cheese , cut it into pieces. So we ended up having the sheep cheese 🧀, and jerky. We had it outside where there is a wonderful picnic area. Would definitely like to visit again.

I’ve been traveling to Quebec City from Ottawa for years now. I had discovered this fromagerie years ago and I now always make a point of stopping there for their great cheese! It used to be a hole in the wall but I discovered this past weekend that they have expanded their store. What a nice surprise! I love what they’ve done to the place. If memory serves me correct that used to have a barn that has since collapsed and been cleared away. I see that they have installed a nice picnic area. That’s awesome! I plan to picnic there from now on with their delicious cheese o course! 👍☺️✌️

Friendly Staff and delicious cheese! Took a couple blocks of chess back to Austria! KLM delayed my bags but I hounded them for 3 days to get my cheese back. Will definitely go back Friday afternoon to get some fresh curds .

Visited enroute to Montreal from Quebec City. Young girl manning the establishment spoke excellent English. We enjoyed cheeses and meat selections--delicious!

Very tasty cheese with cariety not only from this oarticular farm, low prices and high quality. Additionally, very welcoming and helpful staff. Small tasting available on site even without reservation. Located at the same place as the farm and you can see where the cheese is made. There us also additional local products available such as beers, meets, vines, etc.

This place was absolutely delightful, sampled and bought a few different cheeses, the man working even warmed up our cheese curds for us to snack on for the drive back! You can go into the basement and see the aging/storing for the cheeses, and go into the barn out back to see the cows! Will definitely be saving this on my map to come back to!

We had a wonderful visit here. The young lady at the counter was fluent in French and English and was extremely informative about the products available while she showed us around the shop. We selected two different cheeses that were equally delightful and delicious. The fromagerie, which is located close to the highway, rests on a quiet and scenic farm, and has a parking lot large enough to accommodate oversized vehicles. There is a small rest area available with picnic tables available. We look forward to our next visit.

A good place to stop on the drive between Quebec and Montreal. Great cheese selection from local creameries! I wasn't as much a fan of the cheeses from Grondines but found my go-tos from other local cheese makers! The girl at the shop also recommended a cheese I hadn't tried before that might be a new favorite
