Wow, what a great experience this was. We saw this place highly recommended on an Iceland travel Facebook group and managed to get a last-minute reservation for 3:30pm (lucky!). We were blown away by how good everything tasted. The tomato soup was absolutely fantastic, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like soups very much. I had no idea tomato soup could taste that good. Everything else we order was also delicious. The place is beautiful and all the servers were very friendly.

Great experience! We recently dined at Friðheimar, and it was a delightful experience! Located in a beautiful greenhouse near Reykholt, the ambiance is warm and inviting, surrounded by thriving tomato plants. The menu features a variety of tomato-based dishes; I highly recommend the tomato soup and the pasta, both bursting with flavor. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing our visit with excellent service. The guided tour of the greenhouse was a highlight, providing insight into sustainable farming practices. Overall, Friðheimar is a unique and enjoyable dining destination, perfect for anyone exploring the Golden Circle. I can’t wait to return!

A large scale horse farm and greenhouse on picturesque grounds. They give free tours of their tomato growing process. You can eat in the restaurant which accommodates busloads, but best to make a reservation first - even in the office season. We ate in the bistro / wine bar which is a greenhouse covered in grape vines. It has an opulent overgrown library vibe. The cheese plate and vegetable soup makes for a delicious lunch!

Such a cool and unique place in Iceland. We didn’t do a booking and all the tables were booked out so we could only stay on bar where we could only order soup and cakes. The soup was very delicious and fresh, as well as the bread. The cheesecake was exceptional. I recommend this place but don’t forget to do the booking.

Most to visit place when you are in Iceland. This was the only restaurant we decided to spend our bucks on in our 10 day Iceland stay. Their concept was very unique to me. And all their menu items were top notch. There was a 3 week wait time to reserve their all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. Wish we had reserved before. Hence we had to eat at their bar.

This was something extra. together with good food and a wonderful experience. I love the basil on the table, which you can cut, the table is prepared with butter, cream and cucumbers, the bread is amazing, you can top up the soup as many times as you want. Most dishes are vegetables but excellent, I loved the tomato iced latte. The cheesecake was small but delicious. Overall an interesting experience. It's crowded, so you have to make a reservation, we waited 30 minutes for a table, but we didn't mind. free coffee at the bar. I just wish they would treat the employees better, they work there in the heat and do a very good job. So a big thank you to all the employees for the great service and food

Never thought I would like tomato ice cream! You dine in the green house next to rows and rows of tomato plants. The tomato soup is delicious and the breads are so good with the soup. They are busy so highly recommend to make a reservation.

This was a highlight of my two week trip! The soup buffet was absolutely fantastic- the B R E A D…….will blow your mind!!! The cheesecake….as the chef stated….”cheesecake forever!!” And he was so right!! We ordered 2! The ambience is so beautiful set in a greenhouse that is warm and inviting. The service is great. You MUST have a reservation- I reserved 6 months out…that seems to be quite normal according to the server. It is TOTALLY worth the trip. There is lots to do in the area pre and post lunch. Enjoy!!
