Amazing experience. We shared the tomato and cheese plate and it was delicious. As a not huge fan of tomatoes it was amazing and would definitely go again. They have all you can eat bread which was so soft and went well with the dishes they served. You get to walk around the greenhouse and they inform you about the history and how the farm works. They even have imported bees to pollinate the tomato plants! They also have really sweet Icelandic horses.

Such an amazing dinner in one of the coolest atmospheres. You HAVE to make a reservation in advance which is easy to do on their website. The fresh tomato 🍅 soup and breads were absolutely delicious! It is severed buffet style. It does get hot in the greenhouse so wear layers so you are comfortable. We sat at a table next to the tomato plants, so cool!

Would 100% recommended!! The tomato soup was absolutely delicious - it’s set up buffet style and you can help yourself to as much soup and bread as you like. I had seconds and my dad had thirds. We had initially planned on getting the dessert of the day (apple and tomato’s pie), but filled up on the soup. I tried the tomato beer - a nice light beer, although honestly couldn’t taste much of a tomato flavour in it. The atmosphere was very special, tables nestled in amongst the metres and metres of tomato plants - which on their own are a masterpiece. So very glad we held off getting lunch before we stopped here.

Such a cool and unique place in Iceland. We didn’t do a booking and all the tables were booked out so we could only stay on bar where we could only order soup and cakes. The soup was very delicious and fresh, as well as the bread. The cheesecake was exceptional. I recommend this place but don’t forget to do the booking.

Most to visit place when you are in Iceland. This was the only restaurant we decided to spend our bucks on in our 10 day Iceland stay. Their concept was very unique to me. And all their menu items were top notch. There was a 3 week wait time to reserve their all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. Wish we had reserved before. Hence we had to eat at their bar.

I couldn’t recommend this place more highly! The atmosphere is incredible and the food is beautifully fresh. Be sure to book your table in advance if you want to dine in the greenhouse but if you’re making a spontaneous trip to the restaurant then the bistro will be likely to seat you with no reservation and it is equally as beautiful with incredible food. I was not disappointed by either seating section (and I have high standards). I’ve had food all around the world and I would recommend Fridheimar time and time again. You would think that there isn’t a lot of things you could do with a tomato based restaurant but this place has killed it with a combination of innovation and comfort. The tomato soup is delicious! Same for the bread. I would recommend this place. The soup alone will fill you up but try the other tomato based dishes and drinks too. I personally enjoyed the soup and bread the most and would recommend that over anything else

Wow, what a great experience this was. We saw this place highly recommended on an Iceland travel Facebook group and managed to get a last-minute reservation for 3:30pm (lucky!). We were blown away by how good everything tasted. The tomato soup was absolutely fantastic, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like soups very much. I had no idea tomato soup could taste that good. Everything else we order was also delicious. The place is beautiful and all the servers were very friendly.
