Such an amazing dinner in one of the coolest atmospheres. You HAVE to make a reservation in advance which is easy to do on their website. The fresh tomato 🍅 soup and breads were absolutely delicious! It is severed buffet style. It does get hot in the greenhouse so wear layers so you are comfortable. We sat at a table next to the tomato plants, so cool!

Wow, what a great experience this was. We saw this place highly recommended on an Iceland travel Facebook group and managed to get a last-minute reservation for 3:30pm (lucky!). We were blown away by how good everything tasted. The tomato soup was absolutely fantastic, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like soups very much. I had no idea tomato soup could taste that good. Everything else we order was also delicious. The place is beautiful and all the servers were very friendly.

The tour of the greenhouses was informative and fun. During the presentation, we learned about Iceland's strong values regarding environmental protection. Considering this, I would like to suggest exploring the use of biodegradable packaging for the fresh tomatoes sold in your shops. Currently, the tomatoes are packaged in plastic, which is an oil-based product. Options like recycled cardboard or paper would be more environmentally friendly and align with the sustainable practices we observed during our visit. The restaurant was a delight! We had the tomato soup, which was delicious and served in a generous portion. The tomato-based drinks were also refreshing and unique. Tomato ice cream a treat! The bloody Mary was very tomatoey. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend Friðheimar to anyone looking for a fun and educational experience! Amazing fresh and educational.

Absolutely blown away by this experience. Stunning food. Lovely story. Really unique setting. Details were exquisite (fresh pot of Basil on the table to pick and garnish your soup with, desserts served in little tomato pots) etc. Would highly recommend!

Such a cool and unique place in Iceland. We didn’t do a booking and all the tables were booked out so we could only stay on bar where we could only order soup and cakes. The soup was very delicious and fresh, as well as the bread. The cheesecake was exceptional. I recommend this place but don’t forget to do the booking.

Most to visit place when you are in Iceland. This was the only restaurant we decided to spend our bucks on in our 10 day Iceland stay. Their concept was very unique to me. And all their menu items were top notch. There was a 3 week wait time to reserve their all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. Wish we had reserved before. Hence we had to eat at their bar.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing our visit with excellent service. The guided tour of the greenhouse was a highlight, providing insight into sustainable farming practices. Overall, Friðheimar is a unique and enjoyable dining destination, perfect for anyone exploring the Golden Circle. I can’t wait to return!

The tomato soup is delicious! Same for the bread. I would recommend this place. The soup alone will fill you up but try the other tomato based dishes and drinks too. I personally enjoyed the soup and bread the most and would recommend that over anything else
