This trip was a couples trip of two couples. To be honest, all of us were a little skeptical of what we have booked. However, the experience was absolutely perfect. Although the rooms were quite small, it was spacious enough to not bother you one way or the other. The bed was extra comfortable and rooms were quiet. We had to report one issue in one of your rooms and within an hour that issue was completely fixed. If that is not excellent service I don't know what is.|The hotel also offered locked storage for luggage as well as gym and sauna without extra cost.||On paper, or in this case a map, the location did not seem that good, but in practice it couldn't have been better. There is an entrance to T-Centralen and Stockholm City right on the corner of the building. It was super easy to move around in the city.||The breakfast was served in the restaurant nextdoor. The restaurant itself is quite small. That is not exactly up to the hotel itself to dictate but I wish the seating was more organized. There should really be someone who points you to a table to avoid those unnecessary empty places.||A huge shoutout to the ladies at the front desk! You made our stay pleasant and easy.

Stayed at Frey’s while touring in Stockholm. Enjoyed everything about the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is great for breakfast and dinner. The rooms are nice. We found the hotel to be very clean and quiet. The location is near many nice restaurants and shops.

From the check in experience to checking out, everything about our 5 night stay was excellent. The breakfast buffet had great variety and was well stocked so nothing was ever empty. We booked two superior plus rooms (one for our three girls and one for us) both on the sixth floor, and they did not disappoint. The only thing to be aware of is that the rooms are not air conditioned but there were two dancing each. We stayed during some very warm weather but the rooms cooled down in the evening with the windows open for a few hours. Location was great and we will definitely book this hotel again - a very charming space.

We were given a warm welcome by the lovely staff at reception. If you arrive at Stockholm Arlanda, I'd recommend taking the Arlanda Express train as the hotel is across the road. The rooms were clean and very nicely furnished, with a kettle, tea, coffee and milk in the mini-fridge. The bathroom had very good quality hair/body wash, conditioner and body lotion. Breakfast was regularly replenished and we enjoyed everything on offer, both hot and cold. The reception staff were very helpful in giving directions to places of interest and advised taking the only tram in Stockholm (number 7) to the museums nearby. I'd certainly stay again!

Love this place. My husband and I stayed here 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the terrace, the restaurant and the room. The staff are friendly and kind. Location is perfect and central to so many things.||My husband and I booked the romance package as it was cheaper than booking the 3 nights on its own. It included a 3-course meal in the restaurant (Belgobaren). The suite (715) was amazing. It also had a large corner balcony which faced two sides of the building and it was furnished. There was a dining area, a kitchenette, a lounge with two couches and tv. The bedroom had a tv and windows facing two sides and large bathroom. ||Plenty of space, power points galore. The fridge was larger than you normally find in hotels. There was an ironing table attached to the wall and an iron. There were two large wardrobes on either side of the kitchenette. Wi Fi was great. ||It was quite warm inside. The air con was a free-standing machine which was a little lacklustre but that was solved by opening the two doors to the balcony. Windows can be open as well.||In order to get to the room is a bit weird. You go through a glass door, which is unlocked. However, it has to be unlocked when you are leaving and the suite is the only room there, along with an elevator. One would think you would unlock this door to go through, not have to unlock it to leave. Not sure of the logic behind this. The other thing is, do not use the elevator next to the room. It takes you to another part of the building that is not a part of the hotel, which I learned after I got lost and then had to come back. It was all okay though and made me laugh. ||Everything was perfect except the cupboard that housed the rubbish bin was a bit grubby (the floor). There was also a weird buzzing sound in the bathroom, which sounded like the cistern and it drove me nuts. However, the problem was solved by closing the door!||Breakfast was in the restaurant and amazing selection of food, breads etc. Note that Swedes seem to drink percolated coffee, so there was no other option. ||We had dinner at the restaurant and my steak was amazing. The place is lively in the evening and fun. ||The room has slippers and robes and you get a little bear in your room. You can choose to name the bear and purchase it and the money is for charity. So we took little Sven home with us. ||Just a side note, everything is expensive in Sweden, everywhere.

The benefit of this hotel is being near the train station. Very easy to get from the airport to here and after an international flight that was helpful. The breakfast was good and as others said, busy. The staff was nice and housekeeping service was good. One drawback is no air conditioning. I know it is probably rarely needed but it was in the 80s+ F during our visit and the rooms were HOT. They had some cooling fans in the rooms and it was still hot at night and no good air flow. Easy to get around town using the subway however if we were to come back probably would stay in the old town area or where there is more activity.

Freys Hotel is my go-to hotel in Stockholm. The location is definitely the best part about it! The rooms are clean and nice (although some of them are quite small), the staff is friendly and their breakfast is fantastic!

We just completed a 4 night stay and enjoyed our time in Stockholm.|Very close to public transport, extensive restaurants and shopping.|Area felt safe and easy to walk to different attractions throughout the city.|The room was small but adequate.|Our room faced an inner courtyard and was on the 5th floor so we slept comfortably with the windows open and it was very quiet.|The breakfast was very nice with a wide array of offerings.|It can get busy but there was always seating available.|The rooms have all the amenities you’d expect, small minibar fridge and very nice shower with good water pressure and ample hot water.|The restaurant turns into a very popular restaurant for lunch and dinner called Belgobaren which you should make reservations for if you intend to eat dinner there.|Staff was always accommodating at restaurant and front desk.|They have a secure room for luggage that we didn’t require but I will note no in room safes but a safe deposit box available in the secure luggage room.|The only other thing I would note is the hotel is historic and that includes room keys that are left with the front desk when leaving the hotel as opposed to wallet key cards.|Overall a nice stay in a safe, quiet, and great location.

Yelp
Quaint hotel in the hustle bustle of the central station area. Took me a second to find it but once you do your good !! Great old staple place that's well maintained. Nice front desk service. My room was bigger than I thought it would have been. Nice touches in room . Interesting wallpaper, cute teddy bear on bed, loved the classic old time feel but still clean and new. The bathroom was nice but a little small . Big and tall may have an issue. Shower was definitely small. Liked the heated towel rack though ! Breakfast was included but I didn't get to it as my flight leaving was early and it started after I left. Strange ironing room on another floor as no irons in room. I mean it was there and it served its purpose but you do have to find it! Never seen a room for it before! They give you actual keys and not cards for the doors which was fine except they were big and bulky. My door also required jimmying to open sometimes. Still was a nice stay and served my location needs well. Close to walk to restaurants and the trains. They also had a Belgian restaurant attached to it. Looked busy ! Good for the price I paid Great location.

Yelp
The hotel lies. I prepaid a room reservation. My trip to Stockholm was canceled by the airline. I contacted Freys hotel 2 days before my reservation date and asked for a refund. They simply told me they were unable to cancel or modify my reservation. They also said my reservation was non-refundable. This cancelation was due to the SAS strike and was no fault of my own. They would even consider giving me a partial refund. STAY AWAY!

Yelp
Lovely hotel full of old-world charm. Small, but very comfortable rooms. Excellent beds and pillows! Our view was amazing and the balcony was well worth the extra money. It was a fairly private, big balcony with a table and chairs. The free breakfast buffet was delicious! Everything was so fresh and they had a huge variety of items. Downsides: the shower is very small, and no A/C, but overall, a wonderful place to stay.

Yelp
This place is great. Excellent location, a block from train station and a 15min walk to Gamla Stan for shops and restaurants. Very clean and super friendly staff. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and the breakfast is delicious. Without a doubt I'd stay here again and will definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Stockholm.

Yelp
Nice convenient choice near the Arlanda Express and Central Station. The room is clean, comfortable, and cutely decorated. The bathroom in standard room is a bit small, but the shower is perfectly hot and has good water pressure. Free wifi, good breakfast buffet, and comfy bed. Highly recommended!

Yelp
The best hotel stay we have had in years. The staff always went above and beyond. The breakfast was great and much more than we expected. The best nights sleep we've had in a hotel for a long time! Thank you Freys!! I can't recommend this hotel enough. I'd advise everyone visiting Stockholm to stay here!

Yelp
The women who work the front desk are so helpful and kind. They should win an award for their customer service. The hotel was very quiet, which I appreciated. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and impressive with organic and nondairy alternatives. A huge variety of delicious items. My only criticism is there was no herbal tea, which seemed surprising.

Yelp
This is an excellently located reasonably priced friendly well maintained hotel that I will always check when I make plans to come to Stockholm. Getting There It could not be easier. When you leave Arlanda airport look for the Arlanda Express Train sign, follow it to the unbelievably long down escalator, which takes you right to the train track platform. Twenty-five minutes later walk out the door of the Central Train Station, walk straight for two minutes and you will see the huge Frey Hotel sign. I would highly recommend this route because you will be in your room within an hour after your flight touches down in Stockholm. The Hotel The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and fast. Check-in took about three minutes. We presented our passport, was offered a map, given directions to "Old Town" and opened our hotel room door minutes later. I notice that a lot of the previous reviews mentioned that the rooms were small. Obviously, room size depends on your previous travels but from my experience our standard single room with extra bed was just fine for two people. The room contained two single beds side-by-side, the sleeping area was eleven feet by twelve feet, the bathroom was six feet by six feet, and the room contained a hot pot, small minibar, small closet area, and a reading desk. The flat screen 32-inch television was a welcomed surprise because it had England's Sky News, Aljazeera, and a host of English speaking channels. The Internet was easy to access and surprisingly fast. The toiletries were modest and I would recommend bringing toilet paper because the hotel uses the skimpy single-ply rough stuff! The breakfast was outstanding. The adjoining restaurant serves up a great breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, different breads, fruit and juice. Breakfast is served at 7:30 am and I would advise you to get there at the opening bell before the "folks who hold the bread loaf with their hands instead of the provided towels" show up. Suffice it to say, I noticed a lot of folks with poor buffet manners at work and we were happy that we showed up at 7:25! Location If location is everything then you cannot select a better hotel. It is close to the Central Station, minutes away from the mall and excellent shopping, walking distance to "Old Town" and bars, pubs and restaurants are all around.

Yelp
Our experience here was great. Although our particular room was small (that's what we reserved, so no surprise), it was extremely clean and exceptionally functional. The location from the Arlanda Express train was ideal!! A verrrrry easy walk, even with our luggage. Last but not least, the hotel front desk staff (of which we encountered probably five different people at all hours of the day) were extremely friendly, cheerful, and helpful.

Yelp
Not knowing much about Swedish hotels, I was unsure of where and how to book my stay in Stockholm. I've got to say, I could not be more happy with my choice of Freys Hotel. This place was amazing. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, the location was extremely convenient, the food in the restaurant was delicious (we had the free breakfast and paid for an exquisite dinner on the patio), and the overall atmosphere and decor was chic and fun. We especially loved our room, which had everything we could ask for an had a beautiful balcony. I can't think of a single thing that would need improvement. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone traveling to Stockholm. Thanks, Freys Hotel, for a wonderful stay!

Yelp
Small but very comfortable rooms - only reason not 5 star Wide selection of buffet items for breakfast Will return -very happy Great proximity to train via pedestrian mall and crossings
