Fratelli Paradiso is a chic Italian haven in Potts Point, serving delightful seasonal dishes and fine wines amid a lively atmosphere, perfect for any occasion.
"The neighbourhood’s busiest Italian restaurant, Fratelli Paradiso merges classic flavours with contemporary flare. The food is reasonably priced and the menu changes weekly, but their famous fiorentina steak is a staple. The wines are all excellent and fairly pricey. Sitting outside on a warm Sydney evening is the best, but weekend brunch is also a must. Our final word on Fratelli is the service, which is always outstanding." - Squad Ink
"When in the city centre, Gabrielle likes taking waterside walks in Potts Point and heading down to the harbor in upmarket Elizabeth Bay to enjoy the sunset. The food scene here covers the spectrum, from high-end to cheap. 'If I want to go for a posh dinner to celebrate a friend’s birthday, I go to Fratelli Paradiso, an Italian place run by two brothers, Gio and Rico. Their daily pasta specials are delicious, especially the scampi pasta. My favorite dessert is the Campari and blood orange sorbet. I’ve interrogated them on how to make it, but they won’t tell me!' For after-dinner drinks, Gabrielle heads to nearby Vermuteria, a new aperitif wine bar and deli that does a mean vermouth accompanied by a ‘gilda’ cocktail-stick skewer of white anchovy, olives and pickles."
"Fratelli Paradiso, named for brothers Giovanni and Enrico, is the place for traditional Italian dishes like lasagna and risotto, with a popular tiramisu or affogato for dessert. Friendly service and a lively ambiance add to the experience." - Travel + Leisure Editors
"This cafe, restaurant, and bar has been serving classic Italian food on the sidewalks of Potts Points since 2001. Come for a coffee and pastry while you read the paper and pretend to be a local, or settle in for a long lunch or dimly-lit dinner. The menu is scrawled on a blackboard inside and often includes dishes like calamari fritti and housemade scampi pasta. Order a spritz and work your way through the long wine list, or get the waiter to surprise you with something that’s already open. Don’t leave without a plate of the boozy tiramisu.
