Simply THE BEST breakfast spot in all of Newport! Been going here for now almost 15 years every time the Navy sends me back for more school. The eggs are always perfect, the avo toast is excellent and my father-in-law said the corned beef hash is better than what he gets in the south! They open at 6 am and there’s usually a line by 9 on weekends so get there early, you won’t be disappointed.

Food was good - not great. We were told there was a 20-30 min wait but it was actually an hour and 10 min. When we were seated we ordered ice coffees and chocolate milk - the iced coffee had almost no flavor. After 3 creams and a sugar it tasted like something but still nothing interesting (and we usually drink good coffee black). The server couldn’t take our order for another 15 min because “the kitchen had too many orders.” We were kind but definitely feeling hangry at this point. When our food finally came we’d been there for more than 2 hours. We had nothing to drink for quite a while - and no one to tree from until food was dropped off. No one came back to see if the food was alright. We also had to get up to get napkins from the server station. We’d never go there again, not because the food was bad, but because the overall experience was unacceptable.

Dined here for breakfast at the recommendation of a local. The food and service were both very good. We would definitely go back when in the area!

The 4 stars are because whoever recommended the place oversold it, the food was good but not as amazing as we had expected The potatoes on the side were my least favorite which is disappointing because potatoes are never not delicious The corned beef hash was okay The steak roll up was good

Excellent!!!! Local & delish!!!! Sunday visit & the recommendation was right on!! Quaint & the ambiance wonderful to Newport! Our server & host were amazing & friendly ! Highly recommend! Original in many way blueberry pancakes, hot coffee, French toast! Highly recommend!

Another amazing breakfast at Franklin Spa! Omelette, yogurt granola bowl and grilled blueberry muffin - yum! The food, the service and the people are great - definitely a must stop!

Franklin Spa is a small eatery a short walking distance from the wharf. We enjoyed our omelettes and the fresh squeezed orange juice The waitress was friendly and efficient. The prices for breakfast were very reasonable. As we left, a line was forming to get into the restaurant.

Wonderful brunch, great food and lovely service.
