Fota Island Resort

Enjoyed a two night stay in this amazing hotel. Rooms very spacious, very comfortable and spotless. However the highlight of our stay was The Cove Restaurant in the hotel. We had the five course tasting menu with matching wines. It was absolutely stunning from start to finish with amazing dishes that had wine pairings beautifully matched. The hosts were first class detailing the wines, the food and the reasons for the particular pairing. A must if you are staying here, the restaurant is very intimate with only 8 tables which means it’s the perfect venue for a very memorable evening.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were extremely warm and helpful. The hotel facilities were very clean and well maintained. We had a lovely breakfast and very tasty meal in the Amber Lounge. The hotel is in an excellent location on the outskirts of Cork city very close to Fota Wildlife park. Overall I would recommend this hotel for families.

The staff is great !!!! My kid got really sick before arrival we had to spend the first night in the ER .. the staff was very cooperative they were checking on us all the time and made sure we got our food in the room to have some rest . We also needed to wash all of our clothes during to my child sickness and this did it free of charge . They instructed us on the emergency doctor’s service over the phone that helped us . This was the toughest trip for my family but with all the support we got from the hotel staff specially LOUIS from room service INGRID and MARI CLAIRE from reception made it alot easier . Thank you and we will definitely come again ! On a side note the food was really great ! Walking area was amazing the view was wonderful , nice jazz music was played in the evening. Great place for holidays

I absolutely love the Fota Island Resort and Spa. I have a membership to the spa and gym, and every visit has been nothing short of perfect. The entire space is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and designed to ensure a peaceful and relaxing experience. One of my favorite features is the hydrotherapy area, which is incredibly rejuvenating and adds a special touch to the spa experience. The gym, while not very large, is fully equipped with everything you need, and I’ve never had to wait for a machine. The staff is always so kind and helpful, and the entire place smells amazing, which adds to the overall calming atmosphere. Highly recommend! ❤️

Amazing staff made to feel at home from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Rooms we spacious and bed so comfortable. Food was amazing. Staff couldn't have done more for us. 5 star hotel we definitely be back really enjoyed ourselves just wish we had stayed longer

Brilliant stay in Fota with our young baby. Stayed in the Courtyard Lodges which were modern and perfectly setup for the family oriented trip we were looking for. Food and spa were both great, with top class service throughout our stay. Mark and the wider team did their utmost to make it a very memorable stay for us. Looking forward to our next visit.

Absolutely fab weekend. We stayed in the Aviary lodges, which is only a 5 minute walk from hotel and all the facilities. The hotel run an excellent concierge service that brings you to and from hotel that we used later in the evening and even brought us to and from the Fota Wildlife Park. The staff in this hotel were all extremely friendly and helpful. Our waiter Jose was really nice with impeccable service. The concierge service Kevin and Pierce went above and beyond to attend to us whenever we needed it. Pierce even picked up a fan, my little neice as he gave her a teddy which she is obsessed with. I even had to contact them when we left as I had left a pair of beloved earrings behind. Thomas at the front desk went out of his way to find them and post them back to me. Thanks for a lovely break away. We will most definitely be back.

Very nice rooms, great surroundings, nice golf park and great spa & pool area... I would love to give 5 stars if it wasn't for a lot of minor details. (This is a 5 star establishment we talk about so none of those are acceptable) - There was no toilet brush in neither of our 2 rooms - the menu listed in the restaurant was just plain wrong on multiple occasions (e.g. no cream with pancakes for breakfast, served shepherds pie even though lamb stew was on the menu and ordered...) - refill of missing items at the breakfast buffet took far to long (approx 20 minutes for a plate of salmon) - driver in the rental golf bag was beyond damaged and unusable
