"This friendly, neighbourhood-style restaurant is located in Frederiksberg, the birthplace of designer Finn Juhl, and the seductively lit dining room is graced with examples of his mid-century furniture. In a refreshing take on the tasting menu format, diners choose five courses from around a dozen offered by the kitchen. Each one is beautifully presented with flavours to match, like juicy, sweet langoustine tails with textures of carrot. The wine list offers plenty of fine burgundy and bordeaux, while artisan kombuchas lead the non-alcoholic options." - Michelin Inspector

"Classic French Cuisine It wouldn't be a quality French restaurant without a fantastic wine menu - something that features centrally in shaping Formel B's menu and which includes typical wines as well as those without sulfur or clarification. This French-Danish restaurant focuses on traditional French cooking but opts to throw out the rule book. They also source ingredients locally and explain on their webpage that, "We work at eye level with our suppliers who are mainly small Danish farmers with respect to sustainability and nature. We prefer to work with whole animals including cattle from Birkemose farm and Knuthenlund. Vegetables supplied mostly by Søren Wiuff from Lammefjorden and Ask from Kiselgaarden. Dairy products come from Thiese and Knuthenlund. All seafood comes from Danish waters." This restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star for excellence. Photo: Formel B"

"A long‑standing Michelin‑starred restaurant on Frederiksberg where French techniques meet local Nordic ingredients under head chef Kristian Arpe‑Møller. The dining room, furnished with mid‑century pieces by Finn Juhl, offers a choose‑your‑own five‑course menu (selected from 11–13 options) that highlights high‑quality, sustainably sourced produce in straightforward, elegant preparations—examples include roasted langoustine with pickled pumpkin, orange and vadouvan—and a wine list with a strong Burgundy focus." - Christie Dietz

Many Michelin star restaurants offer a prix fixe menu where you may be less than thrilled on some of the dishes you will get, but Formel B offers you to select any five dishes from the menu which contains appetizers, entrees, desserts and you can select any combination. I chose one appetizer, two entrees, and two desserts while my husband had three entrees and one dessert. The entrees and desserts seemed equally sized. We both enjoyed the salted hiramase which is a creamy clean fish that came out elegantly presented in a rose shape. I got the roasted langoustine with pickled pumpkin, orange, and vadouvan followed by the Danish beef tartar with kale, pickled red currant, crispy sourdough and olive sauce. The desserts were the Blood orange with pistachio and sour cream with timut pepper and the Sea buckthorn au surprise (signature dessert that looks like a hedgehog in meringue). I highly recommend both desserts. My husband got the cheese and rye bread dessert, so we got to try all the desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed all our dishes and the service from Frida and Mikkel which was perfectly timed, never rushed or waiting too long between courses and explanations were clear and at a good volume. We had one of the first tables under the window that was slightly below street level and fortunately it was not crowded or noisy. We had a wonderful, relaxing evening. After Mikkel refilled our second bottle of water after dessert, Frida let us know we had to ask for the check when we wanted it and we were welcome to stay as long as we wanted since we had the table for the night. We then had a nice discussion on Danish vs American health care, education, and safety at night. We had an incredible culinary journey with excellent service from Frida and Mikkel and would definitely return when we are in Copenhagen.

5-star experience from the very start. This was our first Michelin Star restaurant my mom and I had ever been to. The service and attention to detail is like no other. We loved the food, and the wine pairing was the cherry on top. Compared to other Michelins, Formel B is an affordable 5-star meal. Everything was so fresh and high quality. The atmosphere was modern and quiet. Our absolute favorite, MUST-HAVE dish was the Sea Buckthorne for dessert! It tasted like a deluxe s’more. My other favorite would have to be the danish langoustine - wow. Thank you for having us Formel B!!

Wonderful all around. The space is as beautiful as the courses they serve. Every detail is thought of — brought to life by an attentive, welcoming and knowledgable team. Just an example of their top-tier service: they freshly baked gluten-free bread for me so that I had the same experience as other patrons (and it was probably the best bread I’ve had). Can’t wait to go back!

We had the fixed menu and since the restaurant got a Michelin star you know that you'll have great food. I've been eating at better restaurants with stars though.

Everything you could wish for. In a Danish context, a less expensive Michelin experience. And it doesn’t disappoint. Value for money (still in relative terms) and the experience of the caviar starter or the new Danish potatoes with truffles are not to be missed. Kudos to all the smiling, knowledgeable waiters/sommeliers. Thanks for having us

It’s a Michellin restaurant. The environment was nice and warm. The menu was different from usual Michellin Restaurant, customers can choose freely from the dishes according to individual preferences. That’s a really cool idea. The vibe was cool. Highly recommended.

Every course was so special and perfectly put together - the flavours, the texture, excellent. Having dined at many Michelin starred restaurants, this one was exceptional. The only let down was the peach dessert - this one wasn’t so great for me. I would 100% come here again if I came back to Copenhagen

Fantastic spot where fresh, seasonal ingredients are turned into beautifully balanced dishes. The wine list is impressive , the staff is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience relaxed but refined. A top choice for dining in the city.
