Price maybe higher than other local area but it’s a very good experience shopping here. We bought sake and matcha for gift and they do offer duty fee tax refund in the basement. Collect all receipt and present items and receipt upon leaving the building.

If you can't decide what you want to eat or want to grab some gourmet takeaway, coming to this food haven will give you plenty of options.  There are two floors where B1 is largely savoury food, bakery, and supermarket items.  Upstairs is largely sweets and baked items.  In the savoury area are some standing tables where you can eat if you decide not to takeaway, but spaces are limited but also not too busy either. I tried a pack of sushi with ōtoro for lunch, which was available at both the supermarket and a food stall vendor.  It was fresh and good quality, for an affordable although gourmet supermarket price. The displays of food are sure to make your mouth water, although keep in mind this isn't a sit down restaurant.

Depachika! When in Japan, you cannot miss out on the depachika experience. Tokyu food show is excellent and we shopped for food souvenirs as well as bought several things we ate the day of. Don't miss your chance to try Tokyo milk cheese factory's cheesecake! It's the best cheesecake I've had in my life!! やはり日本に来たらデパチカは経験しないといけません！東急フードショーは強くおすすめします。

Doesn't the name says it all... Food Show which is part of Tokyu Department Store is in the basement of Mark City Shopping complex which is right across Shibuya station beside Shibuya Crossing is a great place to get some various food items and types. More so for the locals as they probably are looking for what to have for dinner there's small section for produce, fruits, meats and sushi plates the choices here are quite impressive though it has gone through some massive changes as I don't see some of my usual favorites that I frequent here for sadly but know it had to pivot somewhat during covid. The service with samples and description of items they feature here is amazing the vibe and ambiance is just energetic and powerful. どうもありがとうございます！

An absolutely colossal food court spanning two floors underneath Shibuya Station, with East and West entrances/exists. Use the escalators outside to go up and down floors, though they do get quite crowded due to the food show sharing train entrances/exits with Shibuya Station. First floor consists of fancy, grand-looking pastries, exotic desserts and baked delicacies. This is where you'll wow your friends back home with flashy souvenirs and edible gifts. Second floor (ground level) is an enormous grocery store, with anything from fish and meat to seasonings to fruits/veggies, and a coffee mini-store near the checkout counter. While it was filled with many locals just trying to buy ingredients and groceries, it's not a bad place to stock up on snacks or gifts. Fourth floor contains the restaurants and sit-down eateries. We went to a fantastic tonkotsu restaurant, but sadly, I can't remember the name. Numerous bathrooms on this floor. The fifth floor is a hotel, but if you don't want to pay for Shibuya Skytree/Tower, the higher floors do have a pretty decent view of Shibuya Scramble Crossing.

Il y a beaucoup de choses que je pourrais dire sur la " galerie/marché " de Mark City / Food Show, mais mes points principaux sont qu'il y a tellement de choses à regarder, que tout est super frais et que vous trouverez certainement quelque chose pour tous vos besoins (nourriture, thé, etc.). Le service des vendeurs ici est absolument fantastique et bien qu'il soit très énergique, l'ambiance est calme et très organisée et conviviale. En tant que personne souffrant de nombreuses allergies alimentaires, il est difficile de trouver des restaurants au Japon, mais j'ai trouvé chacun de mes dîners ici sans problème et tous les sushis étaient préparés frais (certainement le jour même de leur sortie). L'étage regorge de desserts et de délicieuses collations sucrées, tandis que le rez-de-chaussée ressemble à un immense marché qui comprend des viandes, des fruits de mer, des fruits, des légumes de haute qualité (et à des prix incroyables) et bien plus encore! There's a lot I could say about Mark City / Food Show "gallery / market," but my main points are that there's so much to look at, everything is super fresh, and you'll definitely find something for all your needs (food, tea, etc.). The service of the vendors here is absolutely fantastic and although it is very energetic, the ambiance is calm and very organized and friendly. As someone who has a lot of food allergies, it's hard to find restaurants in Japan, but I found every single one of my dinners here with 0 issues and all the sushi were made fresh (definitely same day as they were put out). The upstairs is full of dessert and delicious sweet snacks, while the downstairs is a like a huge market that includes high quality (and amazingly priced) meats, seafood, fruits, vegetables, and more!

A must-visit for any foodie in Japan! This was such a cool display of a huge variety of vendors. There's three sections- a grocery/produce section and prepared foods in the basement, and baked goods/desserts on the first floor. There are all different types of cuisines, and I was able to find a few vegan options as well. There's also a small area for eating in the prepared foods section.

Great selection of food from Japanese, Korean, Chinese to Italian. Raw fish to BBQs and pastry bun to bao. You literally get lost in the huge underground maze of shops and restaurants. Only negative is limited seating and eating area. It's designed to get food on the go and not sit and eat.

Located right under Shibuya station, more specifically on the bottom floor of Shibuya Mark City Shopping Center which I believe does join the Shibuya station as well...this amazing and overwhelming foodie bazaar or whatever you would like to call it...has a little bit of everything; desserts, pastries, sushi, yakitori, fresh fruit, fried food, bakery etc... Best part is...it leads out right out to Shibuya crossing!

Looking for delicious, quick, huge variety of food? On the basement floor of Tokyu Department Store connected to Shibuya Station is the best and most wide ranging food stands. I was lucky enough to stay in Shibuya right next to the station for a little over a week. The Food Show was somewhere we went for a quick bite to eat regularly. Although getting food there is easy because there are probably over 200 food counters to choose from, I recommend walking around first to see what they have to offer. The first time I came upon this place I was very overwhelmed. The Food Show just has so much to offer. It is like an American food mall on steroids. They had everything. They had all types of cuisines, savory to sweet. There is something for everyone. Some places even allow you to sample what they have to offer. During my time in Shibuya, I got to try their pork belly, takoyaki, sweet breads, fried chicken, dumplings, seafood pancake, and more. Everything we had was incredible. Most of the food is for take-out. It is all cheap and affordable. There is a small standing eating area in the back which we ate at a few times. I highly recommend this place is you are a food lover.

If your typical deli counter and hot food stations can ascend to their highest form, it would be TOKYU Food Show. This is grocery shopping at its ultimate final form. It's like a cafeteria, buffet, and food museum rolled into a supermarket. If you've never been to a Japanese supermarket, you need to get your butt to one ASAP. You will absolutely be in awe when you first step into this place. Stacks upon stacks of skewers. Batches of beautifully fried tempura. Bento boxes that have a rainbow of ingredients. Pizzas, salads, fresh-baked bread and pastries. Desserts and snacks from multiple vendors to satisfy any craving. This was just the ready-to-eat stuff and they practically have everything under the sun, all displayed under bright lights like they deserve to be in a museum. If you're looking for groceries, you'll find the most gorgeous marbled meats and the freshest, neatest produce piles. Every fish had eyes as clear as glass. That's not even counting the rows upon rows of condiments, drinks, and other foods that require preparation. It blows my mind how much variety there is, how high the quality is, and how everyone that works in a supermarket is actually smiling and greeting you. I'm from North America. When are you NOT faced with a sour teenager in a checkout line? The care that goes into handing you just a piece of croquette is amazing. We bought a single serving of melon cake from the Takano booth and it was packaged in a beautiful gift box with a little bag of ice. We felt a little guilty because we were just going to find a corner and scarf it down anyway. My experience as a tourist was a free-for-all. Get whatever looked good, grab a spot at a standing counter (no tables or chairs), and chow down. This is not typical of the local who probably buys stuff to bring home and reheat. Because of this, bento boxes, sushi, desserts, sandwiches, basically anything that didn't need to be reheated were a great choice. Skewers and tempura, while tasty, were cold and didn't reach their full potential. TOKYU Food Show is aptly named. It's definitely a show and a feast for every one of your senses. Anyone that loves food, no, anyone that EATS food should definitely give this place a visit. (83/100) - 2018

Perfect spot to taste and see the wide variety of food offered here! In the basement of Japan's department stores, the food emporiums here are RIDICULOUS- you'll be able to feast your eyes (and stomach) on all the ONOLICIOUS grinds that surround you. Workers are so friendly and pleasant, and some spots were even offering samples too. From sushi and sashimi, okonomiyaki, gyoza, baked goods, cheeses, fresh produce, sandwiches and desserts, it's all here prepared hot/cold and fresh, grab and go, and this store has a great selection of edible gifts to take home as well. It's conveniently located close to the Hachiko statue, so you can grab a snack and do some people watching at the busiest crosswalk in the world. If you're ever in the area and have no clue what you're hungry for, go here...I guarantee you'll find something to satisfy your appetite for destruction. ALOHA!!! Why 5 stars? Because how could you come here and not find something interesting? --- --- --- We were very impressed by the sheer volume of food that could be found here. This is like the best local market that you've ever seen. But as we came to discover throughout our time in Tokyo, apparently there are plenty of other markets all throughout the city that are just like this. Still, the Tokyu Food Show was quite memorable, and honestly a bit overwhelming due to amount of choices. We honestly could have come here every day during our trip and not even scratched the surface in an attempt to consume everything. I wanted to try something completely different and weird from the norm. I settled these little pancakes with some kind of sweet bean paste in the middle, which ended up being one of my favorite snacks from the whole week! I also tried something that I was told is called "Kuri" from a business called Foundry. It was some kind of cake with sweet noodles on top. It was definitely interesting, but I did like the pancake a bit more. Definitely don't miss checking this out if you're visiting and in the area!

This was a cool spot to stop and wander around and taste some of the food of Tokyo and Japan. It is right under Shibuya station and leads out to Shibuya crossing so most visitors are probably right here anyway.... It's busy and bustling if you visit around rush-hour because most folks are in there buying dinner and trying to find what they're going to have before riding the train home for the day... so I'd try to come mid-day or some other time if you can - I was there during the dinner rush and it was elbow to elbow. Anyway, I saw all sorts of neat and interesting items. There is a bakery, fresh fruit area where you can see the $250 perfectly round melons and $150 cherries, as well as fish heads, sliced wagyu, bento boxes and assorted sushi and fresh fish goodies. Japanese food culture is an interesting thing and this is a place to see if you are in Tokyo for a real taste of authentic Japanese food.

So many food choices! I think I walked around aimlessly for minutes because everything I saw, I wanted to try. We had some dumplings and some eel rolls and some fried chicken and some buns. Ahhh I love food halls in Japan!

This is the most amazing food court I have ever seen in my life. I heard about this food show place but only walked into this place accidentally. Glad we did! Everything is so fresh here, even the supermarket area. Their quality is so high that we were having a hard time finding any signs of blemishes on the fruits and vegetables. We were on a hunt for takiyaki and we finally found it here. They have very fresh sashimi and they have a variety of dessert options. Highly recommend coming here

Tokyu Food Show is like a candy store for foodies! Lol...I can go crazy buying a lot of stuff here! So many delish desserts, pastries, yakitories, sushi, fried foods, fruits, and other food related items. If you're in Tokyo, you definitely have to hit up this place to get some delish goodies! :D

I do not recommend coming here on a Monday night around dinner time. I barely got to see anything cute like the panda or character manjus. Instead I was bumped around by the hoard of people shopping for the weeks. I felt like I was in the middle of the Shibuya scramble crossing underground. I did end up buying a huge load of hokkaido milk spread that I spotted and some cookies as gifts for back home and of course, some matcha. We were tempted to buy supermarket sushi but at that point we didn't want to go through the hoards to the cashier.

Situated literally right next to Hachiko statue, this Food Show will definitely keep you captivated for hours! This is basically a thrift store for food, and I LOVE IT. There are so many different cuisines available- and everything is super affordable. It's designed as a grab and go type of thing, so there are no tables for eating. There is a grocery market near the back, and it's filled with fresh and cheap produce (fruits, seafood, pickled vegetables, etcetera). I'm not exactly sure how the territory is mapped out (rectangular?) but there is an information booth where they have a MAP with all the vendors! If I wasn't staying in Japan for such a short time, I would definitely buy back ALL THE PASTRIES. Seriously, they all taste and look amazing! You have to try something...won't disappoint! Come and explore! You'll be lost in food-land for a good 2-3 hours.

Simply amazing!!!! How many places could you say would be great for window shopping food? Not many!!!! Tokyu Food Show is just what the name says - a SHOW!!!! There was so much delicious looking food I just wanted to get some of everything!!!! It's crazy how many photo ops are here!!!! You would waste a whole roll here in the old days lol!!!! Just when you think you won't be amazed by another food item again another incredible one pops up!!!! I could be here for hours!!!! My favorite things were the jack o lanterns made of rice and salmon!!!! Thinking about it now I regret not having gotten some but my BF did not want to eat standing up and there are no tables with chairs here!!!! So, this is not a food court - it's its own thing totally!!!! It's cool how many things here are like nothing you've ever seen!!!! It's truly an adventure!!!! My friend ArmaNaco N. said that if we would have looked there are areas where you can eat the food without leaving the immediate area. I think he said that in a higher level there is an area where you can eat your food. Tokyo is full of these crazy food bazaars. There was also a really cool one in the mall next to the Skytree. What can I do without at the Tokyu Food Show? No tables and chairs they only have "tables" where you have to stand to eat. What stands out at Tokyu Food Show? The sheer amount of great food!!!! Five stars!!!! Tokyu Food Show is really, really ridiculously great!!!!

People will tell you of the markets and food halls but not one single person told me of the TOKYU food show! I'd consider this a must see/visit if you're looking for a wide variety of high quality food options. Everything looked scrumptious although I did not personally make a purchase for whichever reason, maybe I'd recently eaten before wandering through.

This place is such a gem! It's located right under hachiko so it's extremely easy to find. You will see a supermarket first when you get down the stairs, you can shop for food like sashimi or head straight to the other section of the floor where they have all kinds of premade food! I was so overwhelmed by the variety of food there that I walked around 3 times before I decided what I wanted to eat haha. I got a chirashi bento with crab, uni, salmon roe, different types of sashimi for a good price. Went around a corner, and picked up some yakitori. Finished off lunch with some rice ball dessert!

We had so much fun here. We did not know what anything was- but we bought lots of beautifully wrapped presents here. I'm eating some cinnamon cookies as I write this- they were 1/2 cylinders, very thin. Super tasty- not too sweet. Also, I found Haskapp jam here- which is amazing! I love it. I wish I'd bought more. It's like tart mulberry jam- but the Haskapp berry does not seem to be related to any of the berries we have in North America. There was so much food here I can't really describe it all- and they seem to have just about everything you could want. Come here- wander. When I came home I found the haskapp jam on Amazon- at almost 3x the price. So do experiment while you're in Japan, and bring home what you like, because it's really expensive to try to get these delicacies in the US.

This is a really awesome collection of food vendors, located on the basement floor of the Shibuya station/mall area. Some stations are preparing food that you can buy, but my favorite parts were the fresh meats and vegetables for sale. I ended up buying some commercially packaged cookies and candies from the grocery store type section, but really enjoyed looking at all the vendors too. There were lots of traditional Japanese foods as well as fancy pastries, treats to give as gifts and stuff to eat right then and there. The little cookies I bought were possibly my favorite snack for my whole visit and I'm only sad I didn't buy more. Checkout lines moved quick enough and staff was friendly. Those specifically trying to sell you their stuff were exceptionally polite and helpful.

Located conveniently under Shibuya station, this department store food area is a great place to try a variety of things from fresh sushi to fried foods, to desserts. There's affordable bento bowls and pretty much anything you can think of. I was a bit overwhelmed by the variety, but ultimately tried a few items. There's a stand with all fried foods, and you'll see their karaage (fried chicken) labeled as their #1 best seller item... this was sooo juicy and crispy i regretted not trying more items. Had some fresh salmon sushi here too. But my FAVORITE find here was ....FRUIT! That's right. I had been seeing $30 muscat grapes and $15 white strawberries everywhere, and was sooo curious to try them, but didn't want to pay $30 for a huge bunch. Well, here, you can find some of their luxurious fruit on desserts, or I was able to find smaller servings at this little fruit and veggies stand. I paid about $6 or so for 8 muscat grapes, lol, but i was happy to be able to try it. SUPER JUICY AND SWEET. There are areas for you to stand and eat your food quickly! Would recommend stopping here and sampling a bunch.

If you didn't care about counting calories, cholestorel, diabetes or money, Tokyu Food Show is the place for you to visit. In the basement level of the Tokyu Department Store, the Food Show opens your eyes to the creative arts of Japanese cuisine at it's finest. From baked goods, sushi, wagyu beef, tonkatsu, and the 100 different desserts; this place will empty your wallet and fill your stomach to the brink. Oh yeah, it's the Tokyu department store. Not the Tokyu Plaza. Don't get it confused.

OMG. If I lived in Tokyo, I would HAVE to live close by. This place is pure food heaven. Once I walked in, I never wanted to walk out. And when I finally did, it was a long time after. They have everything you could ever want. Sushi boxes for days. Gourmet onigiri. Tempura everything. Breads. Desserts. Takoyaki. Dumplings. Fresh seafood. Bento box combinations. Grilled meats. I mean I could really go one for hours. This is a fantastic gourmet food market that has literally everything you could ever want in Japan. Their selection is amazing, not to mention they have a vegan/vegetarian vendor as well! Some things here are a little pricier than if you were to go out in the streets, but it's all condensed in one area and it is pure amazement. We bought a little of everything we wanted and sampled it all - everything was SO GOOD. It's right smack down in the middle of Shibuya crossing. I wanted to visit one more time before heading back home, but unfortunately didn't get to. I am still kicking myself. Don't miss out on this!

I have a new obsession and it goes by the name of depachika. The word depachika is a portmanteau of department store "depa" and "chika" which means basement. What's so exciting about a department store basement you might be wondering? Just about everything! Descend the stairs to B1 in nearly any department store in Japan and you will find a wonderland of food delights: perfectly packed bentos, gem-like sushi, fancy sake, elaborate desserts, freshly steamed dim sum and seasonal fruit, to name a few. Tokyu Food Show is perhaps the most impressive depachika I've visited. Whilst waiting for a colleague near the Hachiko statue outside Shibuya Station I spotted the sign it and followed the stairs down to check it out. This culinary theme park amazed me (and I quickly got lost), from the $100+ melons in fancy boxes (you're apparently not supposed to buy one of these for yourself and instead wait to receive this pricey fruit as a gift) to the taiyaki (fish-shaped waffle filled with sweet red bean), fresh juice and ice cream, I wanted to have a taste of everything. I returned a couple days later just before heading to the airport and bought a couple of salads, pumpkin croquettes, summer rolls and gyoza. Each item is carefully packed (they even give you small ice packs for the cold stuff) and perfect to travel with. If you need omiyage (edible souvenirs) to bring home, this depachika is a great place to look. I'm not sure how everything tastes but it's all wrapped beautifully and I am sure your giftee will be impressed! Department store food halls in Japan are generally impressive but this one is over the top amazing with its warm bread, all types of Japanese tea, chocolates, cheese, rare honey and sculptural cakes. Definitely worth getting lost in here for a few minutes. NOTES - If you don't speak Japanese it can be hard, get ready to point and speak simply (younger folks are more likely to speak English in my experience) - Most places take credit cards but bring cash just in case - Don't forget to ask for napkins (chopsticks are always offered but napkins are not a given)

This place is definitely well hidden in the Shibuya area. However, it is definitely a local gem. You can purchase anything from sushi to fresh meats, specialty teas and freshly made dim sum, to desserts and spices. Everything looks absolutely fresh and fantastic. This is a great place to stop and grab a healthy bite to eat at pocket friendly prices. You can definitely work up an appetite shopping in Shibuya, so this is a wonderful way to refuel.

If you're ever in Tokyo, make sure you take the train ride out to shibuya and visit this place. It's probably going to be the most amazing food market that you'll ever encounter. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, you name it, they got it. On my visit I had some yakitoris and a whole much of sushi and sashimi, all for roughly $20~ usd. Also, if you visit during the late hours, (between 7-9pm), some items are usually discounted 10-20%! So get out there!

Probably the best place I have ever been to eat. All the wonders and amazing things Japan has to offer in one magical place. Truly unreal how one place can be this tasty.

Definitely worth a visit when in Shibuya. For Tokyo, most things are overpriced, but still fun to see what all the varieties of food that they have! MUST SEE: -There are some fruits that cost thousands of yen!! I guess they are supposed to be the perfect fruit, haha. I would never buy, but it's just fun to take a photo. MUST TRY: -Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory!!! Amazing treats and pastries. The crackers and sweet cheese are my favorite.

I came here almost every day - as my hotel was across the street at the Excel Hotel. The little mochi shop as well as the stand that had the red bean fish cookie thing. To some, the Tokyu Food Show may be a dime a dozen - as at almost every major train stop there is some sort of mall-like super crowded and trendy food hall, like this place. There are tons of places to grab food, but no places to actually sit and eat. I did a lot of my souvenir perishable item shopping here as well.

A bit underwhelming. The redeeming value is that it's right by the world famous Shibuya crossing, allegedly a very popular film spot: when the lights turns green, thousands of people crossing the streets at the same time in all directions. Which is to say, it's quite the scene. And as you know, people in Tokyo are super quiet, thousands of people moving swiftly across an intersection in a matter of 60 seconds silently, Impressive. Impressive discipline for an impressive nation. But after watching the mobs of people walking for a while, one can get hungry. Tokyu Food Show to the rescue. So you hoped. It's a show, which means, objects in show appear to be better than reality. It's not quite that bad, but it's not that great. There are some sushi to go, but it's not that fresh. The non sushi stuff looked a bit more interesting but quite frankly I knew that I was headed to China next, so why stand in line and order dim sum? Skipping that, you arrive at two other options: tempera or curry. I got both. Tempera was cold. See, this is for show, it's not for eating. The curry was indeed warm but nothing to write home about. You can obviously get some western pastries there, but all the way from America, where Anderson's is everywhere, one just does not find Anderson to be appealing. Remember this is a food "show", food does show off pretty well here. But do walk into it and admire the assembles in varies food stalls but skip the prepackaged sushi and go to a local sushi bar instead.

Omg! This place is like heaven for any real food lover! The Japanese really know how to do so many things well and food is no exception! So many options to choose from, just walk around and pick anything (everything!) your heart and belly desires.

So good! So much to see. Ate at their little sushi restaurant, only a few seats. Good quality and affordable. All locals.

I had the sea eel dinner set, the unagi tasted slimy and smelled so fishy, what an utter turn-off. I was so disappointed in this meal, thought I would be eating more Sea eel for the next 2 weeks, but my first dinner and first night eating the meal completely turned my stomach off on eating it again the rest of the 2 weeks. Way too many small bones to have to swallow, not something I get much enjoyment out of at all. The smell was noxious and was the worst part of the meal.

This is a paradise for foodies! There are so many different kinds of foods: breads, sushi, meats, desserts, and etc.. It's accessible right from the station, so you don't have to go outside to come here which is nice when it's too hot/cold/raining/snowing outside. It's fun just to walk around, but it makes you hungry, and you'll want to buy something. Weekday nights and weekends can be hectic. There are some tables available to eat. I come here occasionally whenever I'm in the are, and when I came here on Christmas Day, they were selling Christmas food (roast chicken, cakes, and food assortments). These foods became 20-50% off in the late afternoon. My friend bought the food at 50% off and was happy about it. I didn't get anything but thought it was a good deal.

Awesome place to go if you're a foodie. Tokyu Food Show is right under Shibuya station and really easy to find- just look for the signs that lead you here. They have many different food vendors, selling everything from salads to croquettes to pastries to cakes to mochis. This is a great place to try different foods for a good price, and also to purchase some packaged pastries/mochis to take back. Tokyu Food Show is also connected to a grocery store, and you can purchase sashimi, sushi, and amazing fruits there along with other foods. The only negative about coming here is that they don't have places to sit once you've purchased your food, so you'll have to eat standing up or find a place to sit outside (if it's not raining). However, if I'm ever back in Tokyo I will definitely be back!

This is one of the better and cheaper depachikas in Tokyo. From the Shibuya subway station, look for exit 8 which is the one for the Hachiko dog statue. You will see the entrance to the food court at the bottom of the stairs. You can find bento boxes under 600 yen and they look amazing. Lots of artisan sweets, bakeries, a takoyaki stand right across from a tayaki stand, sushi galore and even dim sum. Some of the counters even provide calorie counts for the boxed lunches. Anywhere from 250 to over 1,000 so pay attention. The only problem is that there is nowhere to sit and eat the stuff. You can't even stand anywhere to eat because you will be in the way. Your best bet is to carry out and eat later.

This place is insane. The Tokyu food show is something that should probably be experienced once while in Tokyo, especially if you're staying anywhere near Shibuya. It's a grocery store on steroids. If you've been to a food hall like Chelsea Market or the Ferry Building in San Francisco, you already have a grasp of what this place is about. Lots of grocery items, hot food, drinks, and sushi being sold throughout the market in a cramped, crazed environment. Being there the day before New Years Eve was probably a terrible mistake, but it also resulted in a very entertaining bout of people watching. Take a deep breath and experience this subterranean market for yourself. It's quite the experience.

Omg. Why can't we have a place like this in Seattle. Located at the basement of the Tokyu Department store is a food paradise. They have everything you can imagine. A patisserie, cheese shop, sushi, dim sum, chocolates, taiyaki, wine, fugu sashimi and so so much more. The variety offered is so overwhelming that you can spend hours there trying to decide what to buy. I probably spent two hours just looking around. It is just an amazing place for ready made food.

This was right by my hotel Shibuya Excel. With soo many things to eat while in Japan, I almost missed out on visiting this place. There were many small shops filled with snacks, drinks and of course sushi. I bought some sushi back to the hotel and it was amazing. I wished I had more time to spend there but I found this on my last night in Tokyo.

What a great find under the Shibuya station! At first, I thought it was only a small section from the grocery area but it kept expanding more as you go through different rows. It's a great place to try several different food options as they are small vendors to sell small portions so you taste it all. Across the east exit, there's another area that had lots of baked goods and desserts to package and bring home.

A hidden underground food market in the middle of the Shibuya area. The presentation of all the food is extremely artistic and creative. The dessert selection is also phenomenal. Certainly worth a visit if you're in the area.

It's exactly what it sounds like: lots of food! There's a grocery store, pastries, sushi, and other foods! It's pretty hard to navigate because there's so much to explore. It's great to see the different foods that Japan has to offer. Definitely a place to stop by for a meal or a snack. There's nowhere to sit, but there is a small eating area with tables at the end where you can stand and eat.

A foodies dream come true .... Food food food and more food.. Every angle corner that your eyes can see.... If there was a Heaven for foodies this Is it. I can just camp out and live here for days. Ok or I will just spend Couple hours in here drooling over everything

Excellent place to do some food window shopping. It's at the basement of Tokyu Department store. A great space with stalls and stalls of food so pretty to be unwrapped. They got mochi, pastries, cooked food such as Japanese/Italian pastas and also a section of raw meat and seafood. Uni, my love, so sweet. If only I'm that courageous to go and get these at a supermarket and make something of it myself. One day. We got a taste of the grilled eel. Cheapest was about 20 US dollars. Is it worth it? It was definitely good. Would I pay another $20 for one, I don't know. We didn't think much of it and jut paid the ¥1944. We also got the Taiyaki. It's a fish shaped cake with red bean filling. Tastes good, filling wasn't so sweet. I beleive it was about ¥300 or $3. Overall, Tokyu food show was a great time spent around what we loved -- food. Do not come here starving unless you're ready to spend some hard earned bucks.

We headed out to Shibuya pretty late on a Wednesday night and stumbled upon this place about 30 minutes to close, which happened to be the perfect time! There are dozens and dozens of food stalls here, from bakeries to cheese to Vietnamese to Italian to sushi, and everything in between. I'm not sure what time they start discounting items, but about half of the stands already had things marked off 20-50% by the time we got there. My mom is a sale addict, so the mad scramble began as soon as she realized the discounts were on. Honestly, I've never seen the woman move that quickly. We scored some amazing sushi - an 8-piece assorted nigiri plate and an unagi rice bowl - for under 500 yen each. One of the bakeries had "time sale" bags for 540 yen, basically a random assortment of 5-6 different pastries, which were still super fresh and delicious. Our visit here was pretty rushed, but I'd love to come back during regular hours and peruse some of the shops; the wine and cheese stalls looked particularly interesting.

Its all here. Every kind of japanese food and more in one massive feast. Each counter holds delicacies and treats that are all amazing. The variety is staggering. You will have to visit the food show several times to cover it all. My only complaint is that there is no where to sit to enjoy your food so plan to take out to your hotel or go enjoy it in a nice park. This is one of several mega food courts normally found in department stores and rail stations. This one is well beyond outstanding. Check out the Shubuya street crossing and then go here for a bite. Bring cash. Double highly recomend.

If you're not a foodie you might think a stop to a food court in the basement of a mall sounds like a dumb and boring way to spend some time in Tokyo. You would be wrong. You've never seen a basement like this before, and you've definitely never seen a food court like this before. Row after row of stalls are beautifully adorned with any food your heart desires: we're talking croquettes, candy, delicate cakes, mochi, katsu, kobe beef, sushi, and the most expensive fruit I've ever seen. I was really tempted to buy the 6000 yen melon just to see what could possibly make a melon that valuable. Instead, I settled for some $6 grapes, which I have to say were some of the most perfectly shaped, colored, and flavored grapes I've ever tasted. You absolutely must see this wonderful place when you're in town. Though you might not want to come with too empty of a stomach... you might end up going broke! Then again, it might be worth it!
