These guys are amazing. I just found out about them by browsing Google but I am so glad I went to the store... rather showroom. Beautiful hats on display with original designs. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Definitely stop by here if you are into hats. I walked away with a beautiful fedora. Will return for a panama eventually.

My wife and I stopped in this past weekend. From the second we walked in we could sense this was a different kind of place. The owner has crafted a space and place that is more than just hats. Their hats are are made from excellent, quality materials & are truly sophisticated. We loved one particular fedora, that we bought 3!!!!! The hats featured on their website are classy, some with traditional designs & others that are modern as well as unisex. The box it comes in wrapped with the perfect purple ribbon is so beautiful that you can keep your fedora or any hat you purchase inside of it. Their customer service is EXCELLENT. This business definitely puts their customers first. That being said, we'll definitely be loyal customers going forward. ❤️

I first hit this spot in 2017 & have been ordering online ever since, but I ensured the owner that the next time I'm in New York, I'm coming to see him & of course he didn't disappoint. This spot stays up to date on the latest styles & is very welcoming to those who take pride in their hat game. Hit him up when you're ever in Harlem.

Great spot if you want a new hat! These guys are awesome and custom create hats. They steam them and put in a nice new hat box. If you're in NYC take a trip over to Harlem and check them out. You won't be disappointed. Just pray for a good parking space! We lucked out!

We traveled all the way from Chicago to visit FKHC in Harlem,NYC.we were not disappointed there was a great selections of hats and the service was outstanding,I knew what style I wanted and I called ahead so everything was set up and waiting... While we were there we got some knowledge of the past and how others see the future of Harlem. Instead of one HAT I got two fair pricing and great value. I did not want to walk around town with bags so they shipped all our hats back home for us and they arrived two days later awesome. When I decide to add another brim into my wardrobe I will call upon FlameKeepers....thanks Guys!!!!!

What a fantastic shop for both veteran hat lovers and newcomers alike! Hats never sat well on my head until I came to this shop. But now, I constantly get compliments on my donegal tweed cap, and it's warm and fashionable to boot. Marc is cool, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. I felt looked after and trendy by association! The rest of his staff are also easy to talk to, and all are ready to give a good and honest opinion of the look of your hat. This place is my go to for hats for both myself and for gifts for friends and family. I now have to get hooks for my wall for the start of my collection! There are so many styles here, so you won't be wanting for variety. Even better is the presentation of all of them. The exposed brick and the rows upon rows of different hats feel like a VIP experience through and through. I hope more people enjoy what this shop has to offer!

I don't really wear hats. It's truly a rare occasion to see my head covered. However, when one of my best friends asked where he could be properly hatted in an adult fashion while in New York, Flamekeepers came to mind. So here we came, saw, and purchased. The decor is befitting of a high standard which can also be said of their pieces. The ambience is immaculately clean and perfect for that hard to please person in your life. The no-pressure service provided is a breeze and sure to guarantee their success. They have a small selection of hats specifically for women. However, I would say that this is primarily a male shopping experience. Hats range in price from $40 and up. My friend found a hat that he liked for about $400, but was also given similar options in other price ranges. Flamekeepers is a God-send and worth checking out. Plus the hat boxes make for a great looking gift!

Being named TimeOut New York's "Most Stylish New Yorker 2013" is a nice feather in your cap (Sorry, I couldn't resist) The Most Stylish New Yorker, has a very unique past. Originally from Queens, Marc was a partial owner of J.J. Hat Center on Fifth Ave. For years, Marc has been telling his partners they should consider another store in Harlem. They didn't agree with his ideas so he recently opened Flame Keepers Hat Club, a men's hat store on W. 121st St. near St. Nicholas Ave. That takes a lot of guts to walk away from your comfort zone but when you want to follow your passion, you'll do what it takes to make your dreams a reality. I walked in today with my son and I'm a man on a mission. I want a cap. Not a cap like they wear in "Newsies" but a cool cap similar to what Rocky wore when he went to Russia. Do you see it in your mind? Yeah boyee.. I walk in and see a wall of caps. I'm greeted by a sales person and tell him my Rocky 4 story. He asks Marc about it and he says, yes its on the third shelf. I try it on and I feel like yelling DRAGO in the store! I tell them I'm wearing the hat out of the store! I'm looking around and I see some really cool classic styles: Wool felt / Fur felt hats, Wool caps I see with lots of Ireland labels, French berets and some cool straw hats. (I bought a Straw Hat when Marc was at JJ Hat Center) I walk over to Marc and congratulate him on his new venture and ask him about a loyalty program. He takes my information and will contact me once that system is set up. If you're looking for a great hat (You know you want one, watch The Blacklist and get back to me) you need to come uptown to Flame Keepers Hat Club. I traveled home to NY, with the intention of getting a new hat. Saw this place on the net, and went in for a visit. I wanted a quality hat for a cruise, and this place didn't disappoint. Mark gave me a few options, and I made my choice. He even shipped it to me, which was just as easy. I ordered another since then, and no issues. Thanks!

This place is awesome for many reasons. The staff are super friendly and not pushy sales people. And they have a fantastic selection of classy items with a broad range for many budgets. The first time I visited the shop I had no idea what I would buy, if anything. One member of the team stayed with me for what must have been an hour, just trying on different hats. She was very attentive to my tastes and didn't try to sell me something that I didn't show interest in. In the end I left with two hats in tow and am still very satisfied with my purchase. I get compliments all the time by strangers. The second time I visited a friend tagged along and was impressed by how laid back the vibe was. You can just peruse the store and try on anything with no pressure. Bring back the hat as a common accessory!

I walk by Flamekeepers Hat Club almost every day so I was excited when my wife bought me a hat from them for Christmas. It felt a little loose to me so I went there and had a great experience. Marc greeted me and tested the hat on my head. Indeed it was too big so he got me a different size, made some adjustments, steamed it and sent me off looking like a new man. He also gave me some pointers on wearing it and caring for it. Absolutely delightful to be in that store. Very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable service. Wide variety of hats and a pleasant decor. Highly recommended.

My wife told me about this store in Harlem called the Flamekeepers hat club, been planning to stop by for two weeks now. I will be buying more hats from this store. I love this service, I like the way the store is set up. The service is incredible ,Marc and his staff are really intentative and knowledgeable of the products that they sell. I pick up 4 hats from here and can't wait for Spring to come so I can pick up some fedoras all types styles and colors. A lot of New York City Transit Authority bus operators have been coming to the store and we should. the brother has good product, so we should support his store. Queens Village depot come and support.

Good people with amazing style, kind enough to treat the humblest customer with care. Don't worry if you don't live up to their GQ-ready Instagram account; they'll still handle you with respect, and you'll leave feeling like you might rate a selfie in that account after all.

I am a big fan of this hat shop. Ever since I moved to Harlem, Flameleepers has been my go to shop for hats for my dad (whom is a hat collector) and my boyfriend (who has very particular taste). The owner (Marc, I believe) is very friendly and helpful. When time permits I'm able to have a great convo with him and/or other staff and pick up some new gems of knowledge. I highly reccomend this store for anyone looking for a unique, great quality hat that caters to your style.

Great service and a pretty good selection. Unfortunately for me, they don't have a good selection when it comes to those with large craniums like myself (what can I say? I have a lot on my mind! :p) Regardless of that, I was able to find a really nice hat for a decent price. Will definitely return!

I actually take friends here when they're visiting from out of town. The shopkeep is awesome, friendly and fiercely stylish. The hats are beautiful. This place is mostly for men's hats- If you're looking for floofy fascinators this isn't going to be where you get them. But, oh boy, this shop is just a delight every time I swing by.

We really enjoyed our shopping adventure at this store. The sale staff was knowledgeable and very customer service oriented. The Hat collection was outstanding we had a hard time choosing which hat to buy. Only one problem and that his did not receive the tracking number for the shipment for our hat. Purchased on Saturday February 16, 2019.

I had heard nothing but good things from my colleagues and finally took the time to head over to Flamekeepers and I'm very glad I did! I have a longer neck and a smaller head but the very first hat Mark (the owner) put on me fit amazingly and ended up being my final choice. I'd never felt like I put on a had that fit me both physically as well as visually. I chatted with Mark and his friends about art and connections and the biggest thing that came to mind was genuine. He knows what he's talking about, he loves his business, and cares about art.

I found this amazing hat store on Harlem Bespoke - a Harlem Happenings' blog. Went there this weekend and bought two beautiful hats; they have hundreds of gorgeous hats to choose from. The two guys that own/run the place are charming, lovely, super helpful, attentive, patient and totally cool - and they understand hats and fashion. I will only buy my hats there going forward. I highly recommend this wonderful hat haven! Thank you guys - you made it a great experience!

Just bought an exquisite hat from them today.I needed something fancy to wear for an upcoming holiday party and it did the trick!The store is nice and the two guys that work in there were cordial and more than helpful. The only thing is that the hats are very pricey. They can range from $125.00 to $600. After you purchase your chapeau, They will steam, brush and put it in a box for you. If your hat gets dusty or dirty, you can always bring it back and they will clean it for you free of charge.

So I had just left from having a dope Saturday afternoon Brunch at Lido when I strolled past Flamekeeper's Hat Club. Mind You I was already Vibrating High (or maybe was a little Buzzed from the Bottomless Mimosas) after my meal so it was a Great Surprise to come across a Boutique of Hats that I hadn't seen before (Great because I had been wanting a new hat). After peeping in the window briefly I went inside to a Beautiful space full of shelves with all kinds of hats. I was approached by a Sharply-Dressed Gentleman (Who later Introduced Himself as Al) who said hello then asked me if I was a "hat guy". Rapped a bit and gave Me an Overview of various distinctions between different Hats. Walked me through a few Styles after Sharing with him what I was looking for. Ended up with a Fresh two-button Flat Cap and he suggested I get the head-band liner for proper-fit since I like them slightly bigger than my actual size. I met another Well-Dressed Gentleman in there (His name was Mark) as well. I'm not sure if they owned the spot or not but was Greatly Appreciative of the Service I received. By the way, both of them were wearing Fresh Hats as well. Now I may be Overstating the Obvious here but it's Good to be assisted by cats who Know and Live the Products they are selling. Been to a number of Hat spots throughout the City and did not get that Feeling. Great And Courteous Service, Knowledgeable and Helpful Information, Gorgeous Space that makes you want to Hangout . . . Highly Recommend Checking out Flamekeeper's Hat Club! I may See you as I'll be back in the Spring for that Straw Boater I saw.

I went in to find some replacement feathers for a vintage hat I inherited from my grandfather when he passed away. The two gentlemen in the shop were so helpful and friendly and they found a perfect replacement for my old hat. I will definitely be going back again. The service and selection are fantastic!

I went to FlameKeepers looking for a hat to wear, and I was not disappointed. The service was exceptional, I was concerned about wearing a felt hat with Linen, but that all change, after having a conversation with one of the owners, whom I found to be very knowledgeable in not only in hats, but style in general. So I walked out with a Boss felt cognac color hat, and it was a hit with the linen. I would highly recommend Flamekeepers to anyone who is interested in buying a stylish hat. FlameKeepers the best kept secret in Harlem.

Came into the store today nervous because I had never purchased a hat before. Had the best time trying in various styles. The salesperson was extremely helpful and kind. Left the store with two hats and will definite go back for more. Great quality, great price!!

I'm by no means enough of an expert to challenge anyone's knowledge in the hat game, but these guys really know their stuff. They also have an excellent selection with some great unique items, the prices are reasonable and the customer service is very good (just very friendly guys). I'm happy to have this shop in the neighborhood.
