"Fisherman's Bastion Fisherman's Bastion was built between 1895 and 1902 on Buda's Castle Hill not to provide protection, but rather as a lookout point—and this fairy-tale castle site, with its seven spired towers representing the seven tribe of Magyar (Hungarians) that settled here in the 9th century, is all about providing stunning views of the city, the Danube, and best of all the ornate parliament building across the river. In medieval times, a guild of fishermen protected this area, giving the bastion its name, and its construction coincided with the restoration of the nearby church. You can just walk around and drink in the beauty, or pay a small fee for a walk up a tower spire, to further amplify the amazing view."

ok obviously you're going to go here because it's a big tourist place. however my biggest tip is to go at night, after sunset for sure. then you don't have to pay to actually go up on the walls & you get to see the city at night which is so sweet. there's way fewer people and it's great for pictures as well as getting that good travel feeling (yknow when you feel adventurous and independent and all that)

Such lovely man and beautiful place to bisit and refresh your mind. You will learn a beautiful things of history and stunning architectural design from there. For the real time experience I would like to suggest to go up by walk, and visit over there for day and night for the best experience, cause at night you can see the different beauty of Budapest city.

It is a beautiful place to see during the day or at night. It is recommended to enjoy the night view quietly and leisurely in the late evening. If you are diligent, go see the sunrise. Seeing the red sun warms your heart.

Super lovely to visit such an amazing landmark. Beautiful views of Budapest and highly recommended to tourists! I would avoid getting the short tram up as it is extremely expensive and you miss the experience of sight seeing!

A magical place! The incredible architecture is truly awe-inspiring! It’s best to visit at sunrise—not only will there be fewer tourists, allowing you to take photos, but it also looks especially beautiful in the morning sunlight!

Lovely historic part of Budapest. Recently cleaned so seeing it in the sunlight has an incredibly impact. A lovely, short walk from Pest to this area.

It is a charming place with great views over Budapest. The architecture makes it feel like something out of a fairytale. Walking around here, I felt like I was in a Harry Potter movie :)

- I think this is the best spot to enjoy Budapest's night view. - While there's an admission fee to go up to the observation deck during business hours, it's free after 7 PM. For those wanting to see the night view, I recommend visiting after 7 PM. - Since you can reach major train stations from the bus stop right in front, I recommend taking the bus unless you're traveling on foot.
