Fish Company

Had our first lunch in Iceland in this restaurant back in March 2024. Food was excellent. My wife had a 3 course meal. They did not have a children menu so they made a small portion based on the adult menu for my kid and charged us at a discounted price. The fish I had was excellent as well Very friendly and helpful staff. Must try if you visit Reykjavík.

There services of the restaurant is disappointing. The waiter mixes up the order. And caused significant delay in serving the starter. One of us order the seafood 3 course menu and others ordered individually starter and food. While others finished their starter, the 3 course menu starter lobster soup still have not been served. We waited for more than 30 minutes and find out that the order has not been placed.

Amazing food from start to finish! Highly recommend the "around Iceland" 4 course menu. Decided to book this place to celebrate my husband's birthday but realised the restaurant does not add any birthday decor or candle, thus we just treated it as a normal meal. The bread came with brown butter & granola, which in my opinion, was one of the highlights of the dinner. I really miss the brown butter from Finland & was so happy to have it again here. The granola added a nice touch to the delicious bread & butter combination. The starter was the cod with cabbage & celery - which to be honest, felt like a main dish. It was super good, buttery, & we were almost licking off the bowl. Next came the cured salmon with mussel ice cream. It was kind of strange, definitely not my favourite. But the combination worked! We were then served the main course, which was three different types of fish, cooked differently. They were all a tad salty for my Asian taste buds & at this point the portion was too huge to finish. The battered fish was the best out of the trio. Lastly, I had the tiramisu (swapped out the offered dessert) & it was.... Alright. Quite good but not something I would go back for. Ultimately, a meal to remember. The best meal we had in Iceland! The service was also impeccable. Would definitely come back again if we ever have the chance. Thank you for the beautiful culinary experience.

Possibly the best meal start-to-finish that we may have had anywhere, easily a place that I would put at the top of my recommendation list if you’re visiting Reykjavik. We ordered the Fish Festival menu tasting, everything from the bread/pre-appetizer to the meals themselves had very developed flavors and you could tell the thought that was put into each dish. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Along with the meal the atmosphere and staff were all great too. Awesome job, I look forward to returning in the future

Atmosphere of this place is super cool, a little dark but it works well. The food was incredible, we did the Icelandic tasting menu and each course was fantastic and full of flavor. Will definitely return in the future and would recommend making a reservation here!

THE best restaurant in Reykjavik by far. It's almost mandatory to come here if you're visiting Iceland 🇮🇸 Been a fan of this cozy gourmet restaurant for many years and can 100% recommend the 65° egg. It's my favourite. The restaurant also offers all recipes in a beautifully made cook book - and all chefs sign it for you if you ask. The best souvenir you can get from Iceland.

This may be the best restaurant in Reykjavik!!! My husband and I have tried pretty much every restaurant mentioned in Michelin guide for Iceland plus many others in various price ranges and cuisine types in Reykjavik. Fish Company is hands down our favorite. Every dish was superb. My husband and I ordered a bunch of dishes because we couldn’t decide. The portions were actually bigger than expected, and despite being stuffed, we finished them all because they were too delicious! We plan to visit Fish Company again when we go back to Iceland this year. Can’t wait!

All people ordered Around Iceland set menu. All dishes are great. Wasabi ice cream was very unique and went well with the fish of the day. The portion was good, all people left with full stomach. Except the waiter was a bit upset that we did not order any wine. Still my friends and I had a good dining experience here.
