Fiola Mare serves upscale Italian seafood with river views and impeccable service, making it the perfect spot for special occasions.
"James Beard Award-winning chef Fabio Trabocchi’s Fiola Mare is set to occupy the space of the former Lakeside, offering an upscale seafood dining experience." - Janna Karel
"See and be seen brunching at Fiola Mare's swanky Georgetown waterfront location that just turned 10 in February. From 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekends, expect classics such as lemon ricotta pancakes, tagliatelle carbonara, and decadent seafood towers along with seasonal a la carte dishes. A baller three-course “sparking brunch” option is more affordable than ever — down from $97 to $72 — and includes an appetizer, brunch favorites, dessert, a warm pastry, and bottomless bubbly or brunch cocktails, with a 75-minute time limit." - Tierney Plumb, Eater Staff
"Fiola Mare is the type of place where people who own boats pull up for a quick dinner after a lap on the water. The outdoor patio hosts seats overlooking the Washington Harbour and it’s an incredibly fancy place, with plush carpet, a formal dress code, and a suited up staff. The menu is pricey, with cocktails averaging around $25, but the food is outstanding. Their crudos are the stars of the menu, and the oysters served with a strawberry mignonette are delightful. Get those and your meal will be off to a great start." - omnia saed
"Not to sound like a disappointed mom who just found out her teenager drinks a case of Natty Light every weekend instead of playing mini-golf, but we feel like the Washington Harbour hasn’t really reached its full potential. The view is great, but the restaurants are generally overpriced, too crowded, and not worth the hassle. Fiola Mare is the exception. It’s expensive, but worth it for a special occasion. Use it as an excuse to get dressed up—they have a formal dress code—and enjoy the patio on a nice day." - joe brantlinger, tristiana hinton, omnia saed
"Fiola Mare is the type of place where people who own boats pull up for a quick dinner after a lap on the water. And whether you're a member of the boating community or a lowly land dweller like most of us, the Italian seafood spot's patio view of the Washington Harbour is a great way to watch the sun set over crudo and pasta (which is outstanding). The restaurant is an incredibly fancy place, with a formal dress code and a suited up staff and the menu has cocktails averaging around $20-$30. " - tristiana hinton, omnia saed
