Simply exceptional experience! When my (now) husband wanted to propose, he went to Fernando at FD for a ring. Fernando found multiple options for a unique ring with a bit of history (just what I'd always wanted!), and ultimately helped Joe land upon the best choice. I LOVE my ring, and I am so grateful that Joe had someone so knowledgeable and considerate helping him through the process.

Let me start by saying the store is very unique and has a lot of cool items. My one star rating is not a reflection of the quality of their merchandise or the uniqueness of their pieces. My one star rating is completely based on the unbelievable lack of anything remotely related to customer service. They are a small business that monitor their own social media. Therefore when someone comments on an item they post simply asking for the price or more information you would think out of common sense they would respond. Obviously I understand responding publicly may not be what they do… But you would assume they would private message you or respond publicly saying please contact them directly. Now after about a year and maybe five of these comments of mine requesting more information they block me on Instagram. Today I called the store… All I am going to say after speaking to the lady I spoke with today... I can only imagine the personality of the owner of this establishment. There is no way his employees could be so rude if he were anything but rude himself. Frankly, I am shocked this business is still in business. PS I’m using Siri to dictate this message I hope it all makes sense

When I opened the door to this place, the doorman was ill-mannered enough to ask me if I am here for delivery. I am here to shop for a ring. The exchange immediately puts me off. However, Erin is friendly and patient with my questions, also very helpful. I hope the initial interaction could be better.

One of a kind treasures! They go through great lengths to pick special pieces with rich history. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

My one star rating has nothing to do with the merchandise. Frankly, the merchandise is cool and unique. However, customer service is unheard of in the store. From the social media to the actual employee that I dealt with over the phone. I am not exaggerating when I say this store has absolutely the worst customer experience. They are rude, condescending, and make you feel like you are annoying them when you ask a question. It truly is amazing that the store is still in business. Clearly the owner has deep pockets and does not need to rely on sales. That's pretty sad because if they actually needed to rely on sales to stay in business I'm sure the attitudes from the owner on down would be a lot different. PS I using Siri to dictate this so I hope it makes sense.

Located just off the luxe shopping mecca of Madison Avenue, FD specializes in rare vintage jewels by Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, not to mention one-of-a-kind pieces by a number of other highly collectible 20th century designers. If modern design is more your speed, the boutique dedicates an entire case filled with breathtaking jewels by 21st century masters such as Hemmerle, Viren Bhagat and JAR. Fernando and Erin are highly knowledgeable about each and every piece and have always shared with me the newest arrivals whenever I've stopped by. If you get a chance to meet the shop's owner, Fiona, you'll immediately see her passion for jewelry and exquisite taste that is readily evident by the contents of her namesake store. The beautifully-appointed space is literally like a jewelry museum where everything is for sale. FD Gallery is a must stop for any jewelry lover and connoisseur, and is one of my favorite places to visit in New York City.

emailed couple of times with no responce. calls are not answered during the work time. dear fd!!! we know you have a special collection, amazing, rare, etc... but after all- you are a business with listed hours and no matter how many private clients you have, either you should go : by appointment only, or at least answer some emails and calls. missed your dream client:))
