It pains me to write this review because I have had really good sandwiches in the past. The last three times I’ve been there they’ve been borderline unedible. Their buns are insanely good, but they’re just not that good when you have to take all the meat and contents out as well as a burnt fragrance/ burnt on both sides. My latest was the Montreal smoked meat, which I get has fat in it like bacon would, but this was just chewy fat with mayo on it. I had to spit out the few bites I even took. When you get a good one they are so good though! I loved this place so much and went out of my way so many times but this is fairly consistant now so I’m sad. Hope you get a good one! Thanks PALS.

Whoever created the Grick has been emptying my wallet since my first bite many years ago. I have easily eaten over 100 Gricks & every single one has been top tier, and arguably, life changing. Most special breakfast sandwich in YEG - it has a special place in all of our hearts. & don’t even get me started with the cronuts…. what would we all do without Farrow????

Small menu but still hard to choose with fantastic sandwich options. I had the truffle shuffle, chorizo, American cheese, truffle mayo, pickled corn, candy jalapeño, arugula. It was fantastic. I was unsure if the American cheese being the cheese option isn’t he sandwich but it worked well. I grabbed an apple crumble cronut and snickerdoodle cookie (at the recommendation of the staff at Sea Change Brewery). Both were fantastic. Minimal counter seating inside, lots of outdoor seating options. Street parking out front. Overall a great experience, highly recommend this place.

These used to be the best sandwiches. The last four times I’ve been here I’ve repeatedly had the soggiest, mushiest sandwiches ever. I like to try the new special if it sounds good and they all taste the exact same. Always arugula, always banana peppers and always sloppy. Brutal for the price.

Service was fast and the sandwich was good. Instead of calling my name, the chef called me by the sandwich name and we all had a good laugh. I waited about an hour to eat my sandwich so it made the bread a tiny bit soggy, so i would suggest eating the sandwich then and there for the best experience.

I had the chef beef and it was okay. It was a pretty awkward size for what's inside of it. Would be nice to have it cut in half. The bread was super tasty but super crumby and kind of dried out a bit. I'd ask for extra sauce as it was a bit stingy on my sandwich. Also they didn't have cream for the coffee.

Great food, but weird place. Some worker there making sandwiches behind the counter was yelling for the whole restaurant to hear, and ranting about politics and how much she hates “conservatives”. So not the most welcoming place for a large demographic of people. I see it’s a hipster type place, but still, act professional. Customers are not interested in hearing about how much you hate them and how much you don’t care
