Fante's Kitchen Shop

I've been going to this shop for over a decade and while the shop has condensed to the front only-- it's STILL jam packed with necessary and high quality cooking and baking goods, knives, coffee makers, sheet pans etc. I get my knives routinely sharpened, grab an espresso and peruse around the store. Prices are comparable to online and you're supporting a small and local business. Always worth the stop when I'm in the Italian market 💖

Great selection of coffees, all labeled by taste, ground & bagged right there on the spot in 1 lb and half pound pouches. (😋 Beware the frozen treat sign out front!! It will lead to the best coffee treat to beat the heat! 😋)

This place has some awesome stuff and a lot of stuff you never thought about! Also in a perfect location at the market. My biggest gripes are price and knife sharpening. Everything in here is so expensive. Much easier to go to the Asian grocery down the street and pick up the same thing for half the price. My poor knives were returned to me SO dull. They were quick, cheap, but ultimately very ineffective here. I hope they change their process because they would be great otherwise!

I miss going to Fante's, recently I ordered coffee beans on their website as I have not made a good espresso in a while. Fante's Riserva is the best! This blend of beans is really just perfect for my taste, the texture, the crema, the perfect bitterness not too much or too little, it's just my favorite. Order went through and was shipped very quickly, packed nicely and arrived in perfect condition in a very short time. Great job during stressful times, thank you!

I have known and loved Fantes for many many years, having found them online and ordered over the internet from Houston, TX. Visited Philadelphia for the first time and of course had to visit Fantes - it was so well worth it! Just a pleasure to wander around and everyone in there so friendly and helpful. And I was overjoyed to see rainbow flags and know that this is a store where all people are welcome (though don't we wish the bigots would just stay home). I loved seeing the vintage kitchen items on display above the racks of goods for sale and the Fantes line that honors various family members is truly excellent. Plus, going to Fantes meant I discovered the Italian Market as a whole and I wouldn't have missed it for the world! Fantes, thank you for existing and for being glorious! I have bought so many items from you over the years and they're all great quality items that I use and use and use. Thank you!
