"Locally sourced lamb, beef, fish, fruits, and vegetables make Estela a popular farm-to-table choice for visitors to the surfer-and-expat hub of Rincón, a town on Puerto Rico’s northwest coast. But it’s the inspiration from far-flung places that puts the delicious finishing touches on dishes such aswahoo in a ponzu sauce served over basmati rice, and sautéed veggie or tuna sashimi paired with sesame seeds, soy sauce, dragon fruit, ginger, scallions, radishes, and pumpkin seeds. Estela reopened in January 2018, after having been closed several months for storm repairs."

From beginning to end, this was truly a divine experience. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambiance. The waiter was wonderful, providing impeccable service throughout the evening. The food was nothing short of exquisite—each dish bursting with flavor and creativity. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked, and the hummus was incredibly unique. The rum old fashioned was a delicious cocktail that complemented the meal beautifully. To top it all off, the chef came out to personally explain my outstanding dessert, making the evening feel even more special. This wasn’t just a dinner; it was an unforgettable experience.

I currently live in San Francisco and travel to New York, Chicago, etc. When I go to those cities, I try to go to the best mid-range restaurants (less than $100 a person). Estela was one of the best prepared meals I've had in a long time. I had a garden salad which was ridiculously good for a salad, a locally caught Queen snapper dish, and then a chocolate mousse for dessert. I was initially a little worried about how brothy the snapper dish was, but it was actually fking delicious. It reminded me of a French inspired dish with its broth but with local ingredients. The service was excellent and the chef really knows what he's doing. The cooks prepared the meal perfectly. Had a glass of Puerto Rican rum to go with it. I just happened to stumble upon this restaurant because downtown Rincon was having some sort of block party and I didn't want to be mixed up in that drunkenness. I'm trying not to just go back to this restaurant everyday that I'm here visiting but it is tempting. I was definitely not expecting to find a restaurant this good in Rincon but glad I did. I've tried three Rincon restaurants since going here and not one of them compares.

The food was really good! We had the steak which was delicious. The best part was the key lime pie! I normally don't eat key lime pie but this one was to die for. It was so good!! If you want a nice atmosphere and good food come here!! 🇵🇷

We went here because we saw it had reviews and they were good so we went there, what a mistake. That food was absolutely insanely awful. 2 of our steaks were tasting like they were cooked on a fish with fish oil poured on it. It tasted nasty, and my sister had to hold her steak down with a fork to stop it from running away because it was so undercooked. Long story short don’t go there if you’re not looking for fishy steak and a new pet steak that will come when you call it.

This is a must if you're in the area. The service as soon as I walked to the door was fantastic, and it didn't end there. We celebrated an anniversary and we're greeted with champagne flutes, the chef came out and served us dessert. The food was delicious, the key lime pie for dessert was out of this world. We left full, happy, and will 100% be here again.

unique food experience is the best way to describe my meal last night. i’d recommend searching or asking the waiters/waitresses about what the menu items are because we were in a little shock then some of your food came out. the dish with the mixed lamb was interesting considering we all thought it was going to be a whole cut of lamb. the chef’s choice steak came out as medium rather than medium rare as i requested. but they gave us the key lime pie brûlée on the house for the mistake. however, the duck breast and the scallops were cooked perfectly. the house special dessert with the tobacco was the most unique and delicious. i highly recommend that one. the elote drink was nice with the corn on top and the mule was well balanced. overall interesting experience for those who are willing to spend and try unique creations. also the ventilation in that restaurant was very poor. we reeked the smell of food when we came out.

We started with the Rincon Mule and another cucumber-ginger drink that I can’t remember the name of. Both were well balanced and refreshing. For appetizers we got plantain gnocchi- definitely something creative. The sweetness of the plantain in the gnocchi with the steak in the dish was well balanced. We also tried the tuna tartare with oyster mushroom. Amazing! Great mix of textures and flavors. I would go back just for that. Main courses were the scallops and duck breast. Scallops were seared perfectly and great quality. The duck breast was fantastic. Tender, crunchy skin, and well seasoned. We got the Key Lime Pie Brûlée for dessert and it was a great way to end our meal. Overall this was a great dining experience! The staff was attentive and had good recommendations, I felt like they cared about the experience each guest was having. The food was great, and was something new! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a creative dining experience. If you are planning on getting cocktails and appetizers, you should plan on spending around $100 per person (with tax and tip).
