Escobar (Escobeach)

Been coming to this restaurant for quite some time, often as a repeat customer. Over the years, I’ve seen it evolve from having some rough patches to achieving excellence. The service has greatly improved, and the food quality keeps getting better with every visit. It’s impressive to see constant improvement, and much respect to the management and the owner for staying strong and maintaining this high quality. Hope this continues and keeps improving with my next visit!

So pleased to have found this restaurant in Santubong. So much better than the hotel and resort restaurants that we tried. We were repeat customers and enjoyed our chicken, pasta and burger meals. Service was friendly and the sea views are really nice. There's indoors AC and outdoors with fans, both with good views. The best in Santubong that we came across in our travels. We have no hesitation in recommending it.

Escobar, located right on the corner of Damai Central next to 7-Eleven, offers a stunning view that’s hard to beat. However, it’s surprising to see the restaurant empty, with only my girlfriend and me there on a Friday lunch hour. We particularly enjoyed their special fruit concoction beer. This place is definitely Instagram-worthy, overlooking the South China Sea. During low tide, the receding water reveals the exposed stones along the long beach shoreline. The air conditioning and cold beer are perfect for staying cool under the blazing sun. To attract more patrons, the restaurant could benefit from playing music outdoors, as it would draw attention from passersby like us who initially had difficulty locating the spot. Additionally, a reception counter facing the row towards 7-Eleven could help capture traffic and make the entrance more welcoming. While I understand that the flower beds and grass are maintained by Damai Central management, the restaurant owner could consider enhancing the outdoor area. The Escobar banner and signboard are currently obscured by yellowing and aging plants, which could be refreshed to make the restaurant more appealing.

We have booked this place for our baby boy's birthday. We had a wonderful experience here. Environment for sure is very nice and good for chill. Boss Chelsea and all the staff are friendly and always ready to help. And the food is amazing, tasted so so GOOD! We are enjoyed the whole party . Highly recommended.

Decent place to have a nice dinner on the beach. They have a menu that goes from European to American to Asian options. We went for the pineapple rice. One dish is enough to share amongst two people. We also had beers. Staff was friendly and quick. We went for dinner but they’re open for lunch too. It was empty as it was low season.

My wife and I ate here 2 nights in a row and would happily go back again! The meals and drinks were freshly prepared and tasted great. My last meal was a double beef hamburger, I just wanted something different since we have been eating the local cuisine for the last 3 weeks, the burger was spot on! The location is overlooking the beach and ocean, there is also a very good chance of a lovely sunset. Oh, and the staff are very helpful, prompt and polite. It doesn't get much better for location, taste and price. Enjoy!

I booked a table with decorations at this place for my girlfriend's birthday. This place has great ambience and what really promted me to give 5 stars is that the staff is very proactive, kind and helpful. It is trully a wonderful experience here and I couldnt thank them enough for their efforts. The food is great, nothing too flashy and just tastes good. Music is awesome. Most probably the only flaw is that arround damai central it gets quite dark and dangerous to walk arround towards the great oasis of Escobeach. If you want your romantic dinner to be surrounded by good music and ocean waves, this is definetely a place to try!
