I came in this week for the first time and got a fade and beard trim from Ed. It was excellent! Service was great, He took his time and was precise, the cuts were exactly what I wanted. Very professional and excellent service. Highly recommend.

Ernie's is great. Started going there this year as it's close to my house. After having some rough cuts at a bunch of different barbers, I've found my new spot. Tom and his crew are always friendly, accept walk ins and last min appts, and give a great fade.

Been getting my haircut here for 20 years now. Definitely a neighborhood staple. Clean cuts, friendly, warm vibe. Highly recommend, everyone here is top notch!

Tom and all his employees are amazing !! They are very professional and caring. Both my kids and myself go there very often. These guys take pride in their craft and the results show that. Thank you again and keep up the great work.

Started coming here a few months back and I will be coming regularly moving forward. They always do an excellent job. Good people running the shop as well. They do an excellent fade!

My son came here with beautiful curls for a trim. He came out with short hair almost buzz cut, no curls, completely different look and it looks awful. I was very disappointed.

I got an amazing haircut today at Ernie’s. I believe the barber’s name was Ed. His attention to detail and the time and care he took was remarkable. My hair is funny. I’m an older dude trying to grow a skullett. Haha He nailed exactly what I was looking for. Great shave and micro razor work as well. Super job !!! You get what you pay for Not inexpensive but worth the price charged.

If you're looking for a cheap budget haircut this place is not for you, I suggest you hit up first choice hair cutters if that's the case. Tom is the guy. When I say he's the guy I mean it. The way he takes his time with the fades and linups is unmatched. Don't even get me started on the beard fade.. Top notch service and I enjoy our conversations. I have never left toms feeling anything short of fresh to death.

Yelp
After nearly a year living in TO and semi-monthly haircuts, I think I may have finally found my neighbourhood barber. I've been getting the same haircut for maybe 10 years now (I find haircuts to be a tedious and usually uncomfortable ritual). My biggest complaint is usually how far off the mark my given barber is from what I wanted, but there are lots of other factors to evaluate. Sometimes the barber might take twice the time of another, and yet I walk out with half the haircut because I'm tired of squirming and smirking in my seat, or maybe my wallet is starting to feel a little exploited, or the barber is just a little rough with his tools. Well, at Ernie's, I had no complaints. For an oldster, my barber was a very light touch with his instruments - no hair pulling, or fingers fumbling at my scalp and he was done before I knew it. In fact, I was already quite happy with his interpretation of my never-changing hair, but he was more than happy (almost insistent) to tweak it further. And when it came time to pay, $17 seemed more than fair for his time. Maybe I caught my barber on a good day - an early Tuesday morning at the beginning of his work week, before a day's or week's worth of standing on his feet might reduce his limbs to a leaden drag - but I know I'm going to pay him a second visit.

Yelp
My hair always looks perfect when I go to Ernie's. They take the time to make my hair look clean and exactly how I want it. They use straight razors and products that smell good and are still super cheap. I recently moved and tried to go to a different barber today and I'm really regretting being lazy and not making the 10 minute bike ride to Ernie's instead, because the new place completely screwed up my hair and that would never have happened at Ernie's.

Yelp
If you want a haircut done right - you have to go to Ernie's. Twenty dollars for the perfect cut. I skimp on haircuts in general but this is worth every cent. Ask for Tomas. It's in the details.

Yelp
If I could this place no stars i would. My cousin and I went into get haircuts today and the people literally started butchering my hair. This old Hispanic lady and a guy that goes by the name angel gave us the worst haircuts of our lives. It looked like a 5 year old with clippers came and played a prank on you in the middle of your sleep. This place should be shut down, it is an embarrassment to all barbers. I had to buy clippers myself and even out my hair myself. Before I left the guy angel said we were giving attitude and we were just inquiring about what type of haircut he was giving. He obviously didn't know what he was doing. The lady wasn't any better. I don't know how they have barber license. This is worst place in Toronto. If you want to play a prank on someone send them here. I suggest nobody go here ever in your life. You can give yourself a better haircut at home. I'm so disappointed and now I have to wait weeks before my hair grows back. I'm starting a new job in a few days and now I have to push back my start date because I look like a cancer patient.

Yelp
Ask for Kevin. He pays great attention to detail and is very easy going. He's the only person I've encountered who does lineups with a straight razor. The shop is an old school barber shop, but it has taken on a younger vibe since Kevin took over from Ernie.

MarquezE R.

Yelp
Solid haircut at an affordable price. Laid back atmosphere, can't go wrong with either Kevin or Tomas. Ernie's is old school, quality over quantity. They recently renovated their outside sign and interior. This has been my spot for the past 4 years now, I could see myself coming back for the next 40.

Amer D.

Yelp
A good no-nonsense cut at a very fair price ($17). Haven't had a shave yet, but from the looks of it, they do a good job at that too.

Nick V.

Yelp
Nice local place to go. Woman who cut my hair was very nice and did a good job. Much better than the brand name "quick haircut" places I was going.

Mark W.

Yelp
I had struggled to find a cut shop since moving to Toronto from Vancouver, but I think I found just the place at Ernie's. No nonense, take a chair and wait your turn. A couple of televisions to take in the EuroCup and some good banter from the regulars. Most important a barber that takes his time to get it right. Best of all, it's a short walk from home. Thanks Kevin!

Yelp
I've been looking for a decent place to get a cheap haircut for years now and i discovered this place. Now to be honest, I have to drive 20-30 minutes (assuming traffic is light) to get here but it's worth the drive. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a clean and fairly inexpensive fade

Peter B.

Yelp
Great fades near my area. Very welcoming atmosphere at this barbershop. I would definitely recommended to anyone looking to get a nice, clean haircut. Extra points for busting out the shaving cream and razor for a skin fade. I've been to a lot of places asking for the same hair cut, and not once have I gotten shaved with a blade!

Skipper B.

Yelp
I've brought my son here since he was 2 years old - he's almost 6 now. My neighbour has been getting his hair cut by Ernie for over 40 years! Prices are low and the people are friendly. Good, solid, old-school barber shop.

Yelp
After going to many barber shops across Toronto I finally found one barber who gave me exactly the haircut I wanted-- Kevin. He recently took over Ernie's and the atmosphere at this place is very laid back and friendly. Kevin gives your cut meticulous care and attention and does a very professional job. Best of all, he only charges $17-- I've gone to many places where I've paid several times that amount and the cuts weren't close to as good as the ones I got here. Highly recommended.

Yelp
this place makes people look like retards. who would think of getting their haircut like the photos shown? my kid got his haircut and I gave VERY clear instructions of what we wanted.. the girl said she understood. he looks like he gave himself his haircut. what a total twat . my poor boy left so embarrassed, and i was crying while she did it. this girl needs to quit her job and find something she is actually good at. it seems like this is a barbershop for douches..so if douche is your style.. go to ernies! if you don't want to be judged as someone who belongs on jersey shore, go somewhere else.
