The ladies work organized and with respective hygiene measures. The empanada amarilla was good but what tasted better was the quesadilla con chorizo and spacy sauce.

Good empanadas at slightly higher price. Featured on Netflix apparently. Spicest salsa was not spicy. I am a medium strength spice eater typically. Worth a stop, but if you have limited meals in Oaxaca I would try somewhere else.

One of the best street food we had in Mexico. Empanadas and Quesadillas are AMAZING!! we tried multiple, salsa verde, salsa amarilla con pollo are highly suggested as well as the oaxaca cheese quesadillas.

Wonderful empanadas. The sauce is heavenly. The Herba Santa (a sort of pepper leave) is beautiful. The tortilla is sumptuous. The only drawback: the chicken’s overdone.

Hibiscus drink was delightful and not too sweet. Went for their Sunday’s specials - empanada de verde and quesadilla de guisado (chicken option). The quesadilla was nicer and it was super cheesy. Chicken breast was used so the meat was quite tough.

High quality and hygienic service producing super flavourful and rich empanadas and quesadillas - the portion of chicken in the empanada could be slightly more. (60 pesos each for the empanada de Amarillo and the quesadilla de flor de cabeza).

The wait for the Empanadas was very long (1 hour) and it wasn’t worth it. They were 60 pesos each and you need at least 2 to fill you up. The amount of chicken you get in each one is laughable. Way more value for money at a restaurant I’m afraid! Probably worth it to try if there is no queue and you just want to grab one but if there are a lot of people waiting around I wouldn’t suggest bothering.

Ever had a perfect Shanghai Soup Dumpling? The wrapper is strong enough to be held up by chopsticks to your mouth, but thin enough to burst open with no resistance from a tiny bite.
That's what the tortillas are like here: they're perfect. Whether you get the quesadillas or memelas, you're guaranteed the juiciest fillings on top of or inside the thinnest, freshest tortillas.
Pre-made tortillas do not exist at this stand. They make them when you order and the tortillas + toppings are evenly cooked on the stone slab. There's just something very singular and pure about the whole experience of eating something on the street that's been made right in front of you. Tacos, memelas, and quesadillas, I believe, are meant to be eaten like this.
I've had all the flavors of quesadilla and memelas, but ironically not the empanadas. That said, if you're omnivorous and not actually picky about your food: there's no wrong answers here. You literally can't miss and land on a 'bad' item unless you particularly don't like a certain ingredient (then that's obviously your problem and not theirs).
Just be careful not to order too many at once. Each menu item is made in snack sized portions and is meant to be enjoyed hot and fresh, like a proper espresso shot.
