Ember Locke, Kensington

What a great find! This hotel is fabulous. From the minute you step the decor is wonderful and the staff are do friendly. Our room was amazing. A fully kitted out kitchen including two hob cooker, microwave, dishwasher and even a washing machine.The bed was very comfortable and our room was very quiet. We slept so well.Just a stroll to Earl's Court tube station and all kinds of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely book here again.

The Ember Locke is in a beautiful building with a lovely, warm reception and communal area with a café and bar. The staff is very helpful and friendly and immediately welcoming. There are two tube stations just a few minutes away, and the Piccadilly Line runs conveniently all the way to Heathrow Airport. Our room was very comfortable and truly felt like a home away from home. I had my 15 year old and some work with me so I was very happy to have such a cosy place to relax and get some work done in between outings in the city. Will definitely stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ember Locke Hotel in Kensington, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. I booked the One Bedroom Open Plan Suite, and it exceeded all my expectations in terms of comfort, design, and functionality. The suite itself was beautifully designed, with a modern yet cozy aesthetic that immediately made me feel at home. The open-plan layout was spacious and well-thought-out, offering plenty of natural light and a sense of relaxation. The kitchen area was fully equipped, allowing me to enjoy the convenience of preparing my own meals, while the living space was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring London. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail in the room’s furnishings and amenities was impressive. From high-quality linens to thoughtful touches like a curated selection of books and local art, it’s clear that Ember Locke has put a lot of care into creating a unique and memorable experience for their guests. The hotel’s location in Kensington is fantastic—close to major attractions like the Natural History Museum and Hyde Park, with excellent transport links to the rest of the city. Despite being centrally located, the hotel itself felt like a peaceful retreat, with quiet surroundings and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were outstanding, always friendly and eager to assist with any requests or questions. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, making me feel like a truly valued guest. Overall, my stay at Ember Locke Kensington was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you’re visiting London for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for its beautiful suites, prime location, and outstanding service. I can’t wait to return!

Location is great. Place is aesthetically amazing. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only bad thing about the room is the ventilation. So the whole room will smell for a long while after you cook. Even if you open your windows. Sometimes I can smell my neighbour’s cooking. So pls standby fabric spray for your clothes. The food options at the restaurant is limited. But the pizza is good! Would also be great if guests can enjoy discounts when we dine at the restaurants. Also love that the laundry is free to use as well.

Beautifully designed hotel, great location, and delicious breakfast. But most importantly the service was impeccable. Every single staff (Michael, Bea, and Dinesh) went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was comfortable and that all my requests were met, even before I arrived. I'd go back again for the service alone. Only one star off because I feel the toilet could have been better renovated and cleaned. The draining was slow and the shower system was very dated. Mold on the surfaces. Also, dingy smell of the pipe. Overall, the cleanliness was acceptable, but could have been done better.

Love this little gem of a place. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, communal area is well used and nice to see so many younger people socialising in a safe place. Coffee is excellent too. Rooms are fab and have everything that you might need and the bed is extra comfortable. Would add as a very minor nitpick is for better lighting in the kitchen area but that is so minor. I’m telling everyone about this place. Another big plus is being able to leave your luggage if you arrive before check in time. Also felt very safe walking around the area alone. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in London. Thank you for a great stay.

The hotel was lovely and staff were helpful whenever needed, but the rooms haven't got capability to turn off the heating so it was scorching. Staff did provide a fan which helped a little when we asked but it was still quite warm. Otherwise a good stay and I'm a good area.
