Very nice experience. We had delicious food and drinks. I had the Elsa Burger, Butternut Squash, with shrimp and peppers for shared appetizers, and a Bourbon Old Fashioned. We had 2 varieties of cheesecake (strawberry and turtle) for dessert. Everything was very tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant. Kaitlin's service was excellent. No reservations are needed (even on New Years Eve!).

I recently went for the first time and had the delicious Double Smashed Burger. I was so excited to see Kopp's beef and custard on the menu while getting to enjoy a fine dining experience! The bar was also great, and I had a nice take on a Manhattan

Elsa's has always been my go-to for a reservation free date night that's delicious and fun. Put your name in with the host, and go grab a drink at Taylors while you wait for a table.
When I arrived last night, the restaurant was empty, the chandeliers were gone, and the overall decor was gutted. There was no wait, I was promptly seated, and I realized the menu was completely different.
Martinis aren't listed on the menu but the same drinks still exist if you order them. We were able to order the classic Elsas Lemon Drop. Wings are gone, the bigger Mac is gone, the civiche is gone, and they only have 3 main dishes (2 burgers and a schnitzel). Appetizers were listed on the menu that they did not have in the kitchen and they also increased the automatic gratuity to 20% over 18%.
I love Elsa's and I'll give them another chance, but this rebrand is very confusing and is obviously not working well. I'm just going to say it: Elsa's is trying to rebrand their restaurant for White People. The demographic of people in the restaurant is completely different now and the soul was literally sucked out of the place. Unfortunately this blatant racism may have scarred this business beyond repair because many customers will not be as forgiving as me and never return.
Truthfully, Elsa's should get on top of this and apologize to the community. People aren't stupid, they know what you're doing.

I genuinely enjoy this place, though it’s unfortunate that a few bad experiences have impacted its reputation—it’s certainly not a reflection of the restaurant itself.
Every time I’ve visited, I’ve been impressed and completely satisfied with the food. While the service could use some improvement, I understand the challenges the staff might be facing.
The location is beautiful, with thoughtful decor that creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend this spot and look forward to returning the next time I’m in Milwaukee.
Note: Parking can be limited and may come with a fee, so plan accordingly.

10/10! Elsa’s new menu is giving callbacks to their sister restaurants: custard from Kopp’s and pizzas like Hanny’s in AZ. The new focus on local ingredients really shows up in the flavors of these dishes. The spinach and artichoke dip is a must-try, so so creamy and delicious! The Bianco pizza is also a standout, the flavors really blew me away for such a simple pizza!

We used to visit Elsa's regularly after getting my hair done, or after a doctor's appointment or shopping, before concerts or sports events. Loved the unique upscale pub setting and the great variety of food.
Alas, the Elsa's we knew is no more. Worst menu replacement item I've ever seen: some apps, three entree selections which include two very similar burgers. No more broccoli or wings or the wide array of burgers. Not open for lunch so no more chili, which was some of the best chili in town.
And the entire vibe is just off now. Used to be upbeat and artsy and hustling. Now it's just depressing.
Lots of other restaurants in the area, so maybe when this revised version of Elsa's goes under, someone else can lease it and bring back the old Elsa's.

recently visited Elsa’s to try out their new menu and experience the updated atmosphere, and I was beyond impressed! The ambiance is fresh, modern, and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a great dining experience.
My waitress, Jade, was absolutely excellent—attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious and clearly crafted with care.
I highly recommend everyone check out Elsa’s! Be sure to ask for Jade because her exceptional service truly made my visit unforgettable.

Host was entertaining and started the night off right. Drinks were good but we can only a very crowded night so it was a little slow getting them. I did start with dessert first and it was amazing. I liked most of the food. The only thing is the shrimp was so hard and rubbery it was off putting. Otherwise it was a decent meal. I’d come back on a less crowded night for drinks.
